Food tasted great and the service was amazing! The atmosphere was welcoming, and everyone was friendly. The only issue was that I ordered a chicken quesadilla but was given a beef quesadilla instead, and one plate from our order was missed. Even with those small mistakes, the food was still delicious and the overall experience was very enjoyable. The staff was cool, the vibes were great, and I'd definitely come back and give them another visit.

10/10 absolutely delicious! We went on a Friday night and there was a pretty steady line. Cash only. I recommend the Horchata, great Cinnamon kick! Will definitely be back.

Good tacos, near home. Fast moving line with cheerful, efficient employees. Quesadillas were preferred over the street tacos. A couple places near top this in my opinion El Patrons (Eldridge) & Cinco de Mayo (Louetta) but Taco King has a following and is worth trying.

5/5 Stars -- Tacos That Truly Hit the Spot! The Taco King in Cypress is hands down one of the best taco trucks I've ever been to! Everything was incredible--from the first bite to the last squeeze of lime. We tried several tacos including their al pastor and carne asada, and every single one was . The tortillas were lightly crisped with just the right amount of oil, the meat was flavorful and juicy, and the toppings were fresh--chopped onions, cilantro, and perfectly grilled onions on one. The lime wedges added the perfect zing. Plus, the creamy green sauce on the side? Game changer. The staff is super friendly and the service is quick. Whether you're dining at the table or taking them to-go, the quality is always on point. If you're in Cypress and craving authentic street tacos, don't sleep on The Taco King. These tacos are amazing --can't wait to go back! Location: Conveniently parked and easy to spot Value: Affordable and worth every dollar Must-Try: Al pastor + green sauce combo

The food, the menu, the yumminess! Go here and have a happy belly! Remember, cash only and not there on Sundays or Mondays. My previous review disappeared. Dang. This food truck is at the gas station parking lot Tuesday through Saturday! Cash only! Go get your street size tacos! They're delicious. It's not corn tortillas or flour tortillas but they're sufficient! And get yourself an aguas frescas! My favorite is Horchata but they have Tamarindo and another one as well. They're all good! I love the tacos! They're tasty. I always get fajita but they have other meat choices too. Check out the menu, go hungry! Food that won't break the bank :D

Their tacos NEVER make it long enough for me to snap a picture. We absolutely devoured these! The other thing we got that didn't make it was their quesadilla. They are the BEST tacos in cypress! The guys are super friendly and quick.

    No they don't.

    Are they open right now?

I saw a line last week, I am guessing they are open regular hours.

Are they open on Christmas Eve?

Sorry. I don't know. But I'm sure you can ask if you go by there before Christmas Eve.

My wife and I just want good quality and value with some sincere & kind service; that's all. Nothing fancy and special treatment necessary, just good old fashioned hospitality and good food. We believe we have found it this Sunday afternoon! We found them on the reviews and it looked promising so we decided to give them a try. The moment we walked in, we could tell Taco El Patron was different. The restaurant was bright, clean and very inviting with their tastefully decorated walls to their comfortable seating & table arrangement. We were greeted by a very pleasant waitress named Ashley and she and Veronica made us feel at home from the time we let them know it was our first visit to the time we left feeling high satisfied by the awesome food and first-class service. The menu was simple but gave diners many different ways to customize their food - that was a big deal to us. The chips and chicharron were delightful with their amazing bottles of superb salsas! My wife went with the asada (steak) and I couldn't decide so I asked Ashley to bring me ALL six of the selections from the special tacos section and that's what she did with a giggle saying no one has ordered all them, so they even took a photo of that massive plate of tacos and all the tasty sides! I felt like I hit the taco lottery when the platter came out and because the service was just as amazing and outstanding as the food. I had a wonderful time trying each one of the expertly crafted tacos and was so impressed with each and every bite. The prices are fair & reasonable and that's honestly a bonus since it's hard to find value for your hard earned money these days. My wife and I felt like our money was well spent and our patronage was very much appreciated. With that being said, you and your family should not waste anymore time with other trendy restaurants (you know who they are) and come to Tacos El Patron where you will hit the taco lottery like I did with amazing generous homemade style food served by a staff that treats you like family. Great Job, Ashley, Veronica and the entire kitchen crew at our new favorite taco restaurant! Check them out and tell them David & Amy sent you.

I had to go up to the bar to grab napkins and ask her for the amazing hot sauces that usually comes in the bottle. My husband ordered no onions and cilantro and got cilantro on everything. My husband ordered Al pastor and got lengua. The pastor lacked flavor. The best thing was the tripa. Although a bit greasy, it was tasty. The carnitas were good. Lengua was tender and asada was tender but lacked flavor. Not sure if tonight was an off night but the experience made me debate if I want to come back or look for a new taco spot. Ambiance was nice. Finding authentic TJ flavor in Texas (not Tex-Mex) was a welcome surprise! Our carne asada was grilled al carbón and you could taste the char! Juicy carne full of flavor, thin but strong and tasty tortillas (they really held everything together well), perfect chunky guac (not too fancy or full of fillers--IYKYK), and a variety of delicious salsas and hot sauces! An added bonus was the complimentary chicharrones! I'll take those over tortilla chips any day! The dining room isn't very big, but it's clean and has good a/c....there's an outdoor patio as well. The finest tacos ever made are here, the tortillas are thick, flavorful. The ingredients that go into your taco are infused with a magical flavor that is unbelievable, there is a lot to choose from. I'd wanted to try La Cocina for a while for that reason and those plans finally came to fruition. You walk up to a counter that has all the ingredients for taco making right in front of you. The guy asks you how many you are going to want, and if you want flour or corn, so he can let them know in the back to make your tortillas fresh. About 2 minutes later, out came our tortillas. I ordered 3: one with eggs and bacon, one with some kind of egg and sausage combo and one non-breakfast taco with fajita meat. The fajita taco was just okay, but the breakfast tacos had me thinking about them for hours after the fact. They aren't very big, so if you're a growing boy like me, I'd aim for 4-5 of them. The guy behind the counter tried to guide us into his suggestion of 2 each, but I jumped in and said make it 3 for me. If I could go back in time, I would have done 4 and made them all the breakfast variety. Both breakfast tacos were straight bangers from another dimension. All the sauces were great and none were too spicy. I might have to return to this place sooner rather than later because I really did think about it the rest of the day. I love you, La Cocina.
