Taco Loco has the best tacos in town of the places I have tried so far since moving to the area. I get the Lingua and Al Pastor tacos with cilantro and onions, chips, salsa and guacamole. Their sauces are great and so is the guacamole. I add salt to the chips to give them more flavor. I'm a repeat customer and until I find better, will keep coming back. read more

We visited from Raleigh, These tacos are not bad for North Carolina. The tortillas are handmade but for 3$ a taco, the amount of meat is small. Service is good, ambiance is cute! We would come back if they gave more meat. We just thought 30$ for two people for tacos is a lot. In California, two people can have a 6 tacos each for under 25$. You'll be full. Here, I was still very hungry but at least they give chips. Ask for all the fixings or else you'll waste even more of your money Lol We come from Southern California so we are used to very high quality Mexican food, this isn't bad, just not worth driving to it. Yum!!! We came in on a Saturday night. Even though they were busy, we were welcomed right away and shortly after sat. Almost immediately our party of four got two bowls of chips and delicious salsa. We ordered a bowl of their guacamole especial. Amazing! We devoured it. Our server was very friendly. We all loved our entree orders. I got the Al Pastor Quesadilla. So so so good! I do not often post five star reviews, but the food quality and fun atmosphere with excellent service earns the taco Loco Cantina five stars. We saw the Cantina as we walked by the night before on a beautiful evening with the garage doors on the side raised wide open. So we came back today for lunch and we're completely happy with the high food quality and freshness. The tacos al pastor and tacos camarones were the best I have had outside of Mexico. This place was recommended by a friend who had previously eaten here. We arrived as a party of 6 and were promptly seated. Our server quickly came to take our drink and food orders. There were plenty of complimentary chips and salsa to enjoy while we waited for our orders. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. There were remnants of Valentine's Day decor. I ordered food today and they told me it would be 15min wait I was okay with that but then upon arrival they told me they never placed it so I had to wait extra 20 mins for my food. I checked my order and I saw a salad cup portion of cheese dip as I ordered a large cheese dip paying $5 for it. I went back and told them my situation they said "we handeo it out wrong" when they originally told it was never placed so which one was it? I asked if I can get another cup of cheese dip since they admitted to me twice it was their fault and they said "no you still have to pay" I'm not a happy customer, customer service was not at all there if I could I would rate zero stars. read more

Stopped thru on the way to our beach vacation. Friday night, so a bit of a wait, but the manager (we think) was very accomodating and even let us drink a pitcher of margaritas outside on the tables while we waited. The salsa was sooo good (complimentary w chips) as was the queso w chorizo. I had the chicken fajitas and there was sooo much chicken! Honestly wished for more veggies, but it was hot and delicious! The ambiance with hispanic music and the decor made us feel like we were on an adventure across the boarder. Yessy was our tour guide through the menu and experience serving food and beverages as well as advice with a warm smile and wonderful attitude. The salsa tasted like it had roasted tomatoes and the Guacamole Especial was perfectly flavored. The chips weee delivered to us warm and crisp. We split the ACP Loco and a Mahi Mahi Taco. I'm so glad I found this spot for lunch while in Asheboro! It's the best Mexican food I've had since experiencing Mexican food in Texas. It's quite small, but they get things done! It's gets extremely busy at lunch. There are 3 two-seater tables on the sidewalk. Our party of 3 has to wait about 10min a a table. If you have more than 4 people it would be quite a wait. There's only about 6 tables large enough for 4. The rest are for 2. The "guacamole especial" is like table-side guacamole. It's chunky and delicious!! The chips are light, fresh, and crispy; just need a little salt. Their homemade corn tortillas are light and soft. DELICIOUS!! (And I'm not one who normally eats corn tortilla tacos) The shrimp are plump and the chicken....wow! The chicken is already cut into smaller bite-sized pieces & seasoned perfectly. Been here quiet a few times! Food and service has always been good. We usually come with friends who are well known as regulars there. Tonight we came with out them and did not get the total treatment. In observing the two server people working very hard, one was amazing at checking in on all her customers, the other not so much. We got the other server. No checking on us, no refill of empty glasses, nothing! While the food was good, that service goes a long way. Although the place had kind of a "hole in the wall" feel to it, I have to say, it was quite a nice surprise! Although the main dining room was a little claustrophobic for my taste (tables were a little bit too close together), we moved a few doors down to their Cantina, where it seemed to be a little more of a casual setting and open. We ordered cocktails to start and they were quite good. I also ordered the shrimp cocktail thinking that it was an appetizer when it was actually huge and big enough to have as an entrée. My date ordered their cevicheWhich they make to order, and just be forewarned, it's about 25 minutes to make it, and every single bite was as fresh as could be! Stopped after a full day at the North Carolina Zoo. Small space but was very easy to get a table even though they were busy. Saw it more as a get in, eat, and get out kind of place. Started right off the bat with a Paloma and it was delicious! Was hoping for a little bit more grapefruit soda, but the amount of tequila made up for it! Our group downed chips, guac, queso, and salsa. All great! I kept it simple and order the 2 taco combo. Came with rice and beans. Fiance' had a quesadilla and the cheese was crazy! He said it was delicious so there was no need for alarm by the amount of cheese. Tacos were pretty small, but very flavorful. So hungry didn't even get a pic.
