I ordered the carne asada fries and a carne asada taco, and both were outstanding. The fries were honestly insane, not just because they were delicious, but because of how massive the portion was lol. I can't even lie I almost ate...

the whole thing myself... but realistically it's enough to share between two people. They had a nice assortment of drinks to choose from. I got a water because it was brutally hot outside. The inside has a great vibe that fits Wynwood perfectly. The atmosphere, the people, and the overall energy made it a place you want to hang out in for a bit instead of just grabbing your food and leaving. Parking is what you'd expect in Wynwood. Mostly street parking, but I didn't have much trouble finding a spot nearby. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the menu. Once I'm living nearby again, I could honestly see myself becoming a weekly regular. I eat Mexican probably 3/4 times a week lol. Check em' OUT!

I've been coming to taco stand for at least the past eight years, and the quality has never gone down no matter what is going on in the area. Tacos stand always has a line, but it's always been worth it. They cook everything super fresh and all their salsas have this kind of zestiness and brightness to them. They also have a bunch that you can pick and choose from. For really good, simple, authentic tacos this place is where you wanna go.

I really wanted to love the taco stand, but the tacos were just okay and much smaller than what I expected. The best part about the taco stand is their handmade corn tortillas and salsa bar. I tried the Al pastor taco, carne asada volcan taco from their secret menu, and horchata. Solid taco spot, but definitely not worth going out of the way for. SoCal street tacos are just on a different level vs here

If you've ever been to Los Tacos No. 1 in NYC - The Taco Stand very much resembles it. We got there just in time to snag the last available bar stools by the window. I appreciated the fact that our chips and guacamole were given right at the register so we had something to munch on while our tacos were being made. The guacamole was nice and creamy and not an onion in sight which I very much appreciated. All the tacos are made on corn tortillas which is my favorite but they tend to fall apart easily. Thankfully, plastic forks were available for grabs near the soda fountain. The reason for the lower rating is because the entire time we were there the only trash can in sight was overflowing. Not one employee addressed it which was a bit concerning since it seemed to be the only place for guests to throw their trash away at aside from leaving trays at the tables.

In all our visits to Wynwood, we had somehow never stopped by The Taco Stand until this weekend... and oh. my. gosh. It's probably my new favorite in the area! Very reasonably priced with a good amount of filling in the tacos. We also got the mar y tierra fries which was a super generous portion. One thing to note with the loaded fries is that they use a more american cheese-based queso, so if you're not a fan of nacho cheese, may not be for you. We LOVED the fact that there is a salsa bar with a ton of salsa options to customize your bites further. Not much seating inside and it does get crowded around peak mealtime. Everything was solid, would definitely return.

Taco Stand had a long line standing all the way outside! Must be good if so many people willing to wait in line. Had to find out for myself. Ordered the carne asada tacos and the Al pastor burrito. These two were a hit ! The carne asada tacos were flavorful wish I had ordered more than two. Very popular spot and eventhough there is normally a long line the staff was fast and food came out fast. Clean and vibrant spot loved the Chapulin Colorado picture.

With a line out the door all night, you know this spot has a good reputation. Let's Taco bout this iconic location that's small in size but big in flavor! The Taco stand has limited seating inside with an open kitchen where you can see some magic happen. We ordered the carne asada taco served on fresh corn tortillas and made fresh and fast. The Al pastor is aways a must try and I got it in a burrito. Every great taco spot always has to have a salsa bar and the taco stand has all the perfect dressings and salsa's to complement your amazing Mexican dish. Service was fast and ready in no time after your order is placed.

The name the Taco Stand is fitting cause it really is a tiny place. But they are incredible. You order your food right at the cashier, and the girl was so nice. She even told me about a new aguas frescas drinks they had and recommended we try it. The good comes out rather quickly. Mind you it's made to order so there is a little wait. But you can spend some time at the sauce bar getting all you may need for your experience. This time we got al pastor, chicken and carne asada tacos along with carne asada fries. Those fries were to die for!! It's covered in a cheese sauce with the carne asada an its so amazing!! The horchata was also delicious. They come bottled which is convenient if you're taking it on the go. Definitely one of the top Mexican spots in Wynwood. Check em out!

As we asked around the area we were hanging out, many recommended this place. And as we should, we followed those suggestions. The line wasn't too bad but when we got there it was a little wait. The place was popping and full of people. Smelled great inside so that was a good sign. We ordered a few different tacos and the asada fries. The fries were solid. Tasty. And for the tacos I want to say my favorite was the nopal or the asada. But either way the food was good. Not your typical Mexican food as I'm used to from Texas but I'd eat here again.

Our party of four rolled up to the taco stand on a Tuesday night around 8pm and it was a SCENE. the place was packed with hungry young people and the 5 guys behind the counter were flying around and just whipping orders out--the chaos was perfection for a hole in the wall taco joint but with the seating space for a larger group. We ordered the carne asada burrito, Camarillo, pesce, carne, and carnitas tacos. And a huge order to carne asada fries. The portions were massive and the price, affordable considering the chain is an establishment in a youthful, gentrified neighborhood. Definitely come hungry and bring friends if you wanna order a ton of food! They also serve beers and have a cooler full of paletas to round out your meal.

If you come late in the night, expect a bit of a wait in line (about 10mins this Thursday after 10pm) but it moves quickly. The enticing smell will keep you company. Lots of salsa options- a creamy chipotle, ciltrano. Salsa verde, a fire roasted ( tatameda) and habanero. The tacos- I got al pastor and pescado (grilled Mahi mahi) Size- slightly larger than food truck sized. Al pastor- good flavor but dry each bite. Pescado- I was surprised I enjoyed this a lot. Fish was tender and flaky, the cabbage added nice cool texture and the salsa chipotle was balanced. Maybe an off night for the Al pastor? It's worth seeing if it's a fluke. 3.5 overall- solid option in Wynwood. P.S. Sit at the counter to watch the tortillas being made or a burrito.

The food and service was outstanding!!!! We were starving and this was our first stop. Two burritos (California and chicken). 5 tacos of variety. All were insane!!!!! Pastor, chicken, shrimp and Baja. All were so good. Ice cold modelos right in front. So good!

This is my favorite taco spot and I haven't reviewed it even though I've been coming here for years. It is always a busy spot, especially at night on the weekends but it is worth the wait. Its got limited seating though. When it gets packed, there may be a wait to get your food. There is tons of colorful graffiti on the walls to keep you distracted while waiting for your food. I always order the Mar y Tierra fries/burrito depending on my mood. They cook the shrimp just right and the steak is delicious as well. For their tacos, I do like the carne asada, camaron, and al pastor tacos. If you need a late night taco craving, stop by the Taco Stand.

I'm so glad I ended my night at this place with some delicious tacos! Everything is made in front of you, so you know it's all made fresh! I had the carne asada taco and fries and it was all so flavorful and fresh. Their tacos are made with corn tortillas which I'm usually not a fan of, but these were great. The guys making our food were super friendly and engaged in conversation with us since we were decided to sit at the hightop bar area right in front of the kitchen. The tacos aren't cheap but definitely worth the price. I'd come back to this place any day! read more

Okay so I came here after spending several hours at the passport agency thinking I was going to get a decent taco or nachos, instead I was granted the most amazing and delicious tacos and nacho fries I've ever had! Everything was cooked to perfection and they were very smooth and swift with all the orders. I ordered the fries with the steak and shrimp, but I requested that it be chicken instead of steak and they did not oblige. I wanted to try their churros since I love and enjoy them so much but they informed me that the machine was broken and to try for next time. That's the only reason I have reduced one star. The bathrooms are also really neat as well. This is definitely the place to go for some delicious food and a cold beer! read more

This place is so good that we drove from Kendall 2 days in a row to eat there. We had the Tierra y mar fries, which were outstanding. Burrito, shrimp taco, carne asada taco and Baja fish tacos. Everything is good. There is parking right in front. Plenty of sauces to choose from. There is a restaurant in the back called "hidden" which you need to reserve on line if you want to go in. read more

Omg sooo good. I ordered the California burrito and loved it. I went during my lunch break, which was great cause they made it crazy fast. Like- it was ready before I finished grabbing sauces lol. The service was great also, everyone was exceptionally nice. I just finished eating and can't wait to go back already. Extremely authentic but great service all around! I have been to many mexican restaurants and this was a fantastic place to get dinner with a good atmosphere and a fair price. The only reason I am leaving The Taco Stand 4-5stars is ONLY because their service was pretty slow from ordering, getting our meals, and paying when they weren't busy at the time I went. Real authentic tacos in wynwood. The tortillas are made to order. The salsa bar is well stocked with great salsas and added spicy treats. Tacos are reasonably priced for the location and the ingredients. If you're looking for classic tacos in wynwood I would suggest coming here strongly. Parking is on the side streets so busy hours it's hard to find but that's the same issue all over wynwood. Park wherever you can and walk on over. read more

Random locations are the best locations, my girl and I were in Wynwood intending to eat but unsure where and parking ...was well it was Wynwood. We happened to walk past The Taco Stand and decided to try it out ...good choice! My girl is from California and talks about how good the carne asada fries are in LA apparently the fries at The Taco Stand are a match. I can't say that having never been to California but I can say they are really really good. We also had some tacos which were also great. This place is really reasonably priced for Wynwood try it out if you get a chance. read more

Definitely worth checking out. Cool vibe, friendly staff, nice decor, cheap prices AND delicious tacos. I went for the al pastor, pollo asafoetida and corn on the cob and I have no complaints. All that and a local craft beer for $15, can't go wrong with that. Found this place while at III Points festival wandering around Wynwood. read more

Loving this spot in Wynwood. Not only are the prices affordable given the fact you are in Miami, but the quality and taste are not sacrificed. It was a group of four, but the total cost never exceeded $60. Yes, you will wait, but it's worth it. We ate a variety of tacos and burritos with no disappointment with each of us truly enjoying what we order while we sampled one another's food. Oh, and the music is old school salsa and merengue for those longing to it. read more

WOW, if there is a wait outside of a small building and continue to grow. Then you know there is something special here. Don't get out the line, it is totally worth it. Every taco every burrito every quesadilla is made from scratch when you order it. Once we ordered, I sat down to the chef whose sole job was to make tortillas from scratch and hot and ready. Hot is essential he didn't just keep making them he paced himself just right to be sure none would be cold when served. If a tortilla was ripped him tossed it back into the dough pile to make a new one. Very meticulous process that I appreciate. My tacos were outstanding. I had carne asada and carnitas tacos. Carne Asada fries are the best, and they have a selection of awesome tacos the tortilla are hand made at the stand, ingredients are fresh, and don't forget to try their sauces! the vibe is great, location is right on the outskirts of wynwood across from the graffiti museum and the line usually extends out the front door but they move fast! I love this place. The burritos are very tasty and some are very large. The California burrito must weight way over a pound and it is stuffed with some good beef, fries, cheese, tomatoes, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. Again, this thing is huge and I could never finish it. I also tried the Pescado (fish) burrito which is stuffed with Mahi Mahi, cilantro, cabbage, onions, tomatoes, avocado and chipotle sauce. This one is delicious and not as big as the California one. Both of them are definitely worth it. I went last week during Art Basel and the line was insane. I usually don't have to wait more than 15 minutes to place and get my food. Excellent place. read more

It's Saturday late night and we are driving up and down the in-streets of Wynwood, and we saw the lights and music on so we knew it was open. The people inside we're super nice and helpful explained all of the menu to us and let us know what was good to order a couple of different things and sat at a table. When we got the food it looked amazing and the owner even gave us a couple extra tacos everything was so good super traditional very good sauces that they make in house. If you're looking for a new spot in Wynwood this should be a great price and great food awesome vibes. read more

The taco stand provides a unique experience in Miami. Not only is there sitting area filled with incredible wall art, their food is some of the best tacos I have ever had. On top of that, they have a wide variety of hot sauces to choose from that makes each food choice a unique one. The only complaint is it can get busy at times but that is expected due to the high quality experience. read more

I'm from San Diego. Where they have the best carne asada fries. I have been in miami 6 years. And haven't found any place that quite does it right. This came pretty close. They should either have a smaller portion size(less fries) they didn't add very much meat ! That's what makes it Carne asada. I would order this again but with double meat portion. They don't add very much :( . And it's $9 . It's enough for two females to get full off one order . Hahaha good size. Just complaining not enough Carne asada in the order has to scrape around to look for the meat. read more

Started eating before I took the picture because the food was calling me by my name and I gave in to temptation! I've been to a lot of Taco restaurants throughout the US and The Taco Stand is on my top 5 list. This place is located in the heart of wynwood so there's a creative neighborhood surrounding it. The inside is very artsy too and the menu has different options for all you foodies. I've been here a couple of times now and always try to order something new and nothing on the menu has disappointed me yet. As for the food, I'm born and raised on the border of Mexico and although I must say it does scream authenticity especially on appearance the meat is bland, and that "Mexican rice" is by far the worst tasting rice I've had. For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

Before going, we called the restaurant to ask if they would be showing the World Cup games, and we were told they would be showing all of them. Based on that, we expected a good viewing experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There aren't enough TVs, many of the views are obstructed, and we actually had to move to the bar just to see part of the game. Even then, the music was so loud that we couldn't hear the match at all. When we asked the manager about it, he told us that ownership's instructions were to play music instead of the game's audio. That was especially surprising considering this is a Mexican-owned restaurant and the match was a Mexico World Cup game. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. To be fair, the restaurant was only about half full, so this wasn't a situation where the staff was overwhelmed by a packed house or unusually heavy demand. I was there with two female friends. I ordered a martini while my friends simply asked for water. The bartender reacted as if asking for water was somehow an inconvenience. We weren't even served chips and salsa until we repeatedly waved down members of the staff and specifically requested them. The bartenders consistently ignored us. My friends waited nearly 20 minutes before anyone came back so they could order their martinis. We later ordered guacamole and the Leña skirt steak. The guacamole arrived promptly, but the steak never did. When we asked another bartender to check on it, he looked in the system and told us there was no food order entered at all. This was unbelievable because the original bartender had described the dish, asked how we wanted the steak cooked, and appeared to take the order. He simply never entered it. When we complained to the manager about the missing food, he told us the kitchen was already closed but that he would "make an exception" and have the steak prepared for us. That response really upset me because this wasn't us asking for special treatment--it was the restaurant trying to correct its own mistake. I told him to simply cancel the order. He then said not to worry because he wouldn't charge us for it, as if not charging for a meal would somehow make up for the experience we had just endured. I declined the offer, but he responded by saying he would bring it anyway and that if we didn't want it, we could just leave it there. To me, that response was even more dismissive and completely missed the point. Throughout the evening, the bartenders were inattentive, dismissive, and consistently rude. Their attitude completely overshadowed what had always been one of my favorite restaurants in Coconut Grove. By halftime, we had simply had enough. Instead of continuing what should have been a fun night, we decided to leave the restaurant and go home, where we watched the rest of the Mexico match in the comfort of my home. Sadly, that turned out to be the best part of the night. I'm writing this review because I know Koko is capable of much better. My previous visits have always been enjoyable, which made this experience even more disappointing. However, if you're planning to watch a World Cup match there, I would strongly recommend choosing another venue. While they may tell you they'll be showing the game, the viewing experience is poor, the game audio is replaced with loud music, and based on our visit, the service was, without question, the worst I've experienced there since the restaurant opened. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously because Koko has always been one of my favorite restaurants, and I'd like to be able to recommend it again. The tortillas tasted stale, as if they were from a previous day, and the pork was noticeably dry. This has happened before--sometimes the food is outstanding, but other times the pork is dry and the tortillas are either stale or overly thick. Unfortunately, today fell into the latter category. When spending $100 or more per visit, consistency is extremely important. It's frustrating not knowing whether the food will meet the standard I've come to expect. The taco stand is hands down one of my top 5 places to get tacos. Let's start off with the al pastor: juicy, extremely flavorful with the right amount of saltiness. The shrimp wears also a favorite: not overdone, juicy and fresh texture, plus loads of Cajun and other mixed flavors as well. Anyone that knows me knows I love tacos! When you're in the Wynwood area definitely try this place out! They are a hidden gem seriously. I go there every time I go out with my friends or family. They are a bit pricey but definetly not more than the average spot around. In fact they are much more affordable than Coyo Taco & tacos and tattoos. I get the shrimp tacos and carne asada every time and they don't disappoint! They aren't as busy as the other spots around so it's a much quicker process from the time you walk in to the time you walk out. Excellent surf and turf burrito. Great salsas and hot sauces. This location doesn't have the Mexican ice cream pops like the locations in the west coast do but they do have freshly made churros. The parking can be tough since the location is in the arts district, but if you order to go on there website and have someone run in to pick the order up it isn't to bad. There tacos are great as well if you like al-pastor. It's hard to find authentic Mexican in Florida but this is the real deal. read more
