Amazing food, with questionable service. Food: the food here was impressive for a Mexican restaurant in Miami and in the Wynwood area where many things are bastardized and altered to the tastes of the local clientele. We had the tacos al pastor which were pretty close to authentic but had a really tasty sauce on them. The shrimp tacos were really really good and the carnitas were just OK. We ordered a corn on the cob which was also really good and if you enjoy it that much you should always order one for yourself. The tortillas are made in house which is a plus. For dessert, the made the churros from scratch and honestly they were excellent. Locale: Fairly similar to a restaurant with the same name I New York city. Decor was on point with many references to Mexican pop culture. The place also has a decent amount of tables and some stools were you can sit. They were blasting loud salsa music, which honestly did not fit with the theme and we could barely hear ourselves talk. Service: this is where the restaurant is lacking. Many of the employees were too busy to even take our order and even gave me slight attitude when clarifying something. The music was so loud that we couldn't hear the orders being called out. Everyone just had the typical Miami cranky attitude that just turned us off had it not been for the amazing food. Location: Wynwood so you have to street park and pay for it. Best burritos I've found in Miami! Can't wait to go back. The loaded fries are also amazing.

My friends and I were walking near the Wynwood Walls and decided on stopping in here. Easily the best meal of the whole trip. Everything was well priced, the ambience was super cool, and the workers were incredibly friendly. As for the food, the tacos were the best that I've ever had! I ordered one of the corn on the cob, the shrimp taco and a carne asada taco, and some churros to finish it off. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I believe it is under staffed. The soda machine needed a refill and the condiments as well. Some tables had trash on them. The El Farolito of Miami! For non-SF peeps, imagine late night diner charm mixed with simply delicious Mexican food (the graffiti art will remind you you're still in Wynwood though :). I tried the cactus taco and also a bite of my friend's fish taco. Both were really fresh and you can even watch them make the tortillas, true to their tag line "hecho a mano." I also tried the carne asada fries which were probably 2,000 calories, but this was one of those cases where every calorie was absolutely worth it. Let me start by saying I love the tacos here... during certain times of the day. The taco stand has reached the point where they are uncomfortably busy most hours of the day. Very small space and almost always lines out the door and down the block. This is majority due to their disorganized system that they have in place and probably opened up with. One POS to take everyone's orders which just adds on to the kitchen 1 order at a time in segments that I imagine prevent the cooks from being able to make multiple orders at a given time. I'm imaging this to be the reason since it takes so damn long. And you should completely rule out the option of delivery or pick up. It's almost as if you become less of a priority then the counter guests. (Last 3 orders of mine have been ice cold). Last order I had here was for pick up. And I shuffled through the monsoon of people waiting for their food to ask for my order. Was told it wasn't ready even though it was. I stared at the bags for pick up and pretty much knew it had to be one of those. But I trusted them even though they were so busy due to the disorganized system that they didn't have time to check the bags. 20 minutes later. I ask again. One of the bags I was staring at ended up being my order. What happened? I ended up eating a cold grilled fish burrito. No one should have to go through this. It's so simple. Install a microphone so you can announce orders since a lot of the clientele sit there and talk since the wait is long. And they are yelling peoples names for their orders through masks. Like cmon. No one can hear you. Frustrating. Highly advise manager/owner to consider updating the operations and executions of this place. Or I'm going to have to take my business elsewhere and advise all about how uncomfortable this place has become. read more

Need a (legit) Mexican fix? Look no further... Food -as legit as it gets in Miami!!! Better than homestead fare without the trip to the southernmost tip of Dade County!!! The menu is simple and it works. The carne asada tacos couldn't be done better, unless you were in Mexico itself. We also tried the burritos (I know, I know, not really Mexican but still spot on), the ingredients were fresh and had a nice crunch without the heaviness of added rice. There's a new Taco Tuesday woohoo!!!! If your looking for something new this is the place The Taco Stand offers some great flavors that don't break the bank in the Wynwood area. At first appearance you get the wynwood Mexico vibe with the urban decor and old school Taco stand vibe great job. Parking is not too bad plenty of street park and there's an empty lot right next door to park also. The the location is only a block away from the Main Street so might be a little hard to find being that it's a stand alone building. There's a pretty large seating area of about 60 people so seating is just a little limited but there quick kitchen keeps the hungry people moving in and out quick. So your wait time should not be long at all especially on a Friday or Saturday night for the late night munchies There taco Tuesday offers three of there signature tacos for $2.50 there pork taco, a veggie taco, and there chicken taco, along with $3 beers. My suggestion of a must have is there carne asada loaded fries it was amazing!!!!! My only regret of not giving them the 5 stars had to do with there chicken taco, no taste felt super rubbery and was just not good at all ordered 3 and was only able to take a bite of one and toss the rest. They really need to revamp that taco or something cause everything was amazing!!!! This place is great to stop by for a quick bite to eat. I had the Al Pastor Volcano and Carne Asada Volcano (secret menu items) and was good. My favorite was the Al Pastor Volcano as the meat was well cooked and the sauce was good, making it a great combo with the tostones. Highly recommend stopping by, but be aware a pine forms quickly here. Got here at 4pm and not much of a line, but once we got our food it was forming outside. We also had the tacos al pastor with grilled pineapple-delicious, the Baja taco - yummy, the Sonora Taco packed with grilled steak, beans and guacamole-tasty and plentiful. Okay so I came here after spending several hours at the passport agency thinking I was going to get a decent taco or nachos, instead I was granted the most amazing and delicious tacos and nacho fries I've ever had! Everything was cooked to perfection and they were very smooth and swift with all the orders. I ordered the fries with the steak and shrimp, but I requested that it be chicken instead of steak and they did not oblige. I wanted to try their churros since I love and enjoy them so much but they informed me that the machine was broken and to try for next time. That's the only reason I have reduced one star. WOW, if there is a wait outside of a small building and continue to grow. Then you know there is something special here. Don't get out the line, it is totally worth it. Every taco every burrito every quesadilla is made from scratch when you order it. Once we ordered, I sat down to the chef whose sole job was to make tortillas from scratch and hot and ready. Hot is essential he didn't just keep making them he paced himself just right to be sure none would be cold when served.
