Ordered Fish Supreme Tacos $11.50 and got a cup of water. They offered chips with salsa. Awesome! However, nothing special, very bland chips with salsa. Fish Supreme Tacos, came with two tacos and rice and beans on the side. Got the corn tortillas. Again, very bland. Fish did not really have taste and price tag wasn't helping either. Not sure about the other dishes on the menu but will not get Fish Supreme Tacos ever again. Regardless, service was quick and nice. Bill came out fast and did not have to wait for it.

I ordered tortilla chips the worker asked if I wanted cheese and I said sure. I also ordered the flaunts lunch special. It was a 8 until this visit. I got cheese put on the tortilla chips. Which made them soggy but I couldn't enjoy them because their from scratch tortillas chips were stale. The flaunts were presented beautifully but had left over chicken and it tasted leftover. I placed my order at 2:47 and was told 15 minutes at 2:53 they're calling me while I am 2 blocks away letting me know that my order was ready. Strange yes but I am new. I get my food and go to the park to enjoy and guess what the food was Disgusting and I had no silverware or napkins. You got time to call me to pick up my order, but not give me silverware or napkins. It took everything in me not to drop the food back off and ask for my tip back. I honestly can't say I would try this restaurant again.

He got the chimichanga, my husband the botana and my mother in law the quesadilla. We all had leftovers! This was on the heels of a bad experience at Mr, Miguel's so I was thrilled with my meal! I talked to the manager and he said they did start adding a sauce or salsa. It ruined my favorite dish that we came there for 37 years before Covid. We all would get it. My family decided to celebrate my husband's birthday there very recently I decided what can go wrong with my second favorite Chicken Fajitas. Well, the below is what I got. Only a couple little green pepper pieces, a couple onion pieces and more tomato pieces than both peppers and onions. Where are the peppers and onions? This picture is the whole meal all burnt and dry. This is such a downgrade from a typical fajita. I dipped a chicken piece in sour cream to wash it down, it was dry. I brought it home and my son ate it and couldn't believe what he saw when I said it was Chicken fajitas. He hated it, it lacked all the flavors that make it good and it was hard to chew. I've tried a lot of foods there, I am not fond of anything but the 2 loyal dishes I loved. Both have been destroyed. If you add salsa to a chimichanga then you won't notice a difference but if you don't you certainly will notice the flavor change. For 37 years it was our favorite place, now it's the very bottom of a list of places to eat, actually we have nothing to order from there anymore. I couldn't even enjoy the hot tea, I asked for lemon and was told you don't have any but gave me a lime ruined the tea! I read on one review you said it's the same as it always was there but you're wrong, chimichangas are not as they used to be after adding the red sauce in it, lemons gone, dry fajitas without peppers and onions you can actually taste and see. Your quality of food has definitely changed for the worst, regardless of you saying otherwise. I will not tell people how great your place is anymore but tell them not to go if they're expecting the chimichangas they've loved for years, because they're gone. 2 different restaurants with Chicken fajitas 2 different presentations- which is more desirable looking. And yes this is the amount of fajitas minus 1 small piece of chicken on the last picture that Mexican Gardens gave, for $20- with a little guacamole, sour cream and rice on a side plate. Price is not justifiable to us considering the quality of this dish I got. The last 2 times we went the restaurant wasn't even half full, which is odd considering every other time in the past before past 2 years we had to wait quite a while to get in and not hardly any empty seats. With a table for 8 it took about 5-10 minutes to put it together. The only 2 times in 37 years the restaurant wasn't full and it was a weekend when it's usually very packed in the past, and those 2 times were within about 6 weeks recently this year. So sad it used to be one of the very best, we passed over all other Mexican restaurants to go there, not anymore. So sorry to leave this horrible review but thats how bad our experience was.

Taco's were well made, with double corn tortillas, packed full of meat , no skimping here, and just cilantro and onions. Definately very authentic Mexican style taco's and not the Americanized versions you find throughout the area. My only qualm, which was minor, was that the meat was lacking the seasoning I like when in Mexico which gives the flavor pop that I personally like. I took care of this with some salt and pepper along with salsa to tune the taco to my personal taste. Relative to the Salsa, there was a walk up Salsa bar with multiple Salsa's to select from which I truly liked and reminded me of one of my favorite Taco Joints in Puerto Vallarta, Taco's Revolution. These salsa bars, are quite convenient and act as a "Fixing bar" that allows you to tailor the taco to your personal taste. I have not seen this before in this area and wished more businesses did it. They also need to add the cucumbers (dont knock it till you try it) and some onions as well to complete the fixing bar. (: Food comes with gratis nicely mildly seasoned chips which I really liked. The seasoning is more than just salt, quite tasty and unique to this business, Very nice! Relative to the facility and staff, the restaurant is a no frills operation and has a relatively small footprint with a limited number of tables which is probably something to keep in mind during peak dining hours. Clearly they let the food do the talking here. Staff is very friendly with prompt service and good follow up throughout. Overall a very good Mexican restaurant as reflected in the good Yelp reviews. The quality of the food and at the price point it is being sold at make this a must try if you are a fan of good Mexican food, in particular Street Taco's.

I personally get the corn shells every time. Never failed to be extremely delicious. I always order extra lime, sometimes the limes aren't ripe, and barely squeeze juice, or in a way I'd say "dry" that would be the only problem I've ever had dining from this place. An FYI, it's not every time it's only been probably twice that's happened to me out of all of my visits. There is seating for a quick bite, but it wouldn't be very comfortable sitting for a long time, most if not all people use it as a seating area for waiting on their takeout It's more as a taco stand just as the name says and when you're sitting, you're almost standing, it's more of a to go place there is a lobby and it's small, but it's great. The service is also great. They are literally done making your tacos within like 10-15 minutes after ordering and this is a popular place so they're always having customers there's rarely a time that they don't have someone coming in but there's never a wait or a delay because they are so good with just whipping it together. Everything's fresh. Everything's good. The only thing you would be waiting on is to place your order but not even a long wait at all and honestly, if you're already outside, it's easier to just walk in than to Call. But it is easy to call, especially if you haven't even left home yet but like I said they make that food fast so be ready to be in the car already while you're on the phone. I haven't tried anything other than the regular tacos, all different meats . And I don't think I will try anything else because those tacos are all I need, but I definitely would recommend to try more on the menu than just the tacos. come here. Give it a try. Oh yeah, just to mention that the prices are phenomenal. Literally so affordable, and I get full usually off of four tacos Sometimes I get five when I'm being greedy. Sometimes I have some taco left over. Be ready for a pungent taco smell emitting off of your fingers after you're done, enjoying the wonders of The Taco Stand Taqueria, Taco.
