Never received our food after an hour and forty minutes and left- poor management of food preparation.

We placed a delivery order online. We got an email confirmation. Our card was charged!Order would be delivered in an hour. THIRTY minutes after our order was supposed to be delivered, no one shows up. So we call to see what's going on. No one answers. We call again. Again, no one answers. We call again. No answer. We drive to the store. There is a huge line out the door because everyone who ordered got shafted and were demanding to know where their food was. Unsure if they chose not to pick up the phone because they royally screwed up or if their phone was dead. Unsure if they actually got our order, but they certainly charged us. We ended up asking for our money back and for them to forget about the food. They gave us back our money and we ended up ordering Pizza Hut. This was my first time ordering from them and this will be the last time. I will make it my solemn oath to tell everyone about what happened. read more

Stopped by to try the breadsticks, calzone, and pizza. Plenty of free parking out front. Can't lie, place was packed on a Sunday afternoon, resulting in a minimum of an hour wait after ordering. Small (3) Breadsticks. ($10.50). +green peppers and onions. ($1 each). +jalapeños cheese, garlic butter, and ranch sauce ($1 each). Breadsticks were already basted with garlic butter. Ordering a side of garlic butter is unnecessary. The jalapeños cheese and ranch was key! Calzone. ($11.50) +green peppers, green olives, and onions (+1.50 each). Also basted with garlic butter. Extremely cheesy due to mozzarella, ricotta, and Colby cheese. Outside texture was similar to the breadsticks. Medium Vegetarian Pizza. ($16.50). Here is where it's disappointing. Asked for pan style. An hour later, we were served our stuffed breadsticks. Shortly after, the calzone and pizza were brought to our table. Obviously, it's not pan style, but it was thin crust. Asked why and server advised it was busy then walked away. Note that we were the tail end of the rush. At this point, I wasn't going to send back a pizza after an hour of waiting. Really? If you weren't going to make the pan style pizza, please advise as opposed to punching in a different order. Extremely disappointed. I can't stress this enough. Only giving two stars because beers were $3.25. I imagine this establishment is so close to BGSU. read more

We have been sitting here for an hour and a half and we do not have our food. However, multiple other parties in the restaurant have been seated, served, and left throughout our stay. I was told wonderful things about this restaurant and was really looking forward to enjoying some breadsticks. Unfortunately, I am so disappointed in the service that I do not think that I will be able to thoroughly appreciate the food. I'd also like to note that my water cup has not been refilled once and it has been empty for roughly an hour now. Please be mindful of these factors when planning to visit this establishment. Not all combinations of the breadsticks go well, I would recommend talking to the staff and asking what's popular if you are not sure of what you want. The staff are very helpful the couple of times that I have been there. It's also one of the only places in town that deliver without using any third-party Service. Have you even been to Bowling Green if you haven't had Campus Pollyeyes??? My mom insists on coming here every time she visits and for good reason -- it's delicious. If you do come here, you need to try the cheese stuffed breadsticks. Firstly, they're huge, and you can get them with a number of different sauces. They 100% constitute as their own meal so don't be afraid of going hungry. Whenever I come here, I usually end up with leftovers. The people here are also very friendly. I've never gotten bad service. Most often, the waiters check in often, and the food is pretty speedy. Nice atmosphere as well. Definitely a college town staple for good reason. read more

If you are craving a hearty meal, or looking for something a little creative, Pollyeyes is a great place to stop at. It's a quaint restaurant is tucked away a bit off the main drag, with a good size dining room and great selection of local beers on tap with a familiar feel you could describe as "Midwest pizza place". That said, Pollyeyes has a trick up their sleeve. Their stuffed bread sticks are great, and the fact that you can customize them the same as your favorite pizza makes them better. Highly recommend buffalo chicken and pickle. It's kind of like a calzone, but easier to eat and more shareable. The bread sticks really are a perfect party food. The pizza is thick, cheesy, and has a great sauce. I'm not a big bread eater, but could probably eat this stuff daily along side their marinara. It's all made from high quality ingredients. If someone's coming in from out of town and this is up their alley, sharing the breadsticks is a must. I'd like to see them partner with a locally brewery on a unique pizza topping combo and an amber or something. Each time I've had their food, I've felt like there's something there that's missing, whether it's more adventurous toppings (maybe on the spicy side?) or a special that sets the further apart. read more

This place is a terrific little spot that embodies, and is emblematic of, the concept of local flavor. Of course, we decided to try this place based on the recommendation of...who else, but some locals. This little restaurant is not in any way elegant in appearance or decor. By contrast, it's quite a simple facility nearly adjacent to the west side of BGSU campus, and seats perhaps 60 persons. Some might even call it a local dive, but that's often where you'll find the best fare. It's clear that it mainly caters to the college crowd. The bottom line is that this place is all about the food. It doesn't try to be anything more than it is or do anything more than what it does best. The feature offerings are the stuffed breadsticks, and they are excellent. We tried the Chicken and Cheese Stuffed Breadsticks, which we found to be outstanding. They came with BBQ and Jalapeño Cheese dipping sauces. I especially loved the BBQ as it was the perfect accent to enhance the taste. In addition, we had a Roast Beef Special Pizza, for which I also put the BBQ Sauce to good use. The most memorable aspect was something the two items shared in common...the crust. It was among the best I've tasted. I should note that the service was very good as our server did exemplary work. The prices were also quite reasonable. With drinks, tip and tax, our bill came to less than $50 for three people. And we had enough to take home for two more meals. I thought it was an excellent value. Screen style is between thin and thick. First time here, screen is pretty thick to me already, very filling, almost Chicago style. Cheese wasn't melted all the way. The food is good as long as you like it really, really buttery. However, the service unfortunately is lacking. They don't seem understaffed exactly but it seems like things could be run more efficiently with the people they have (former pizza place employee here). The inside of the building is really bizarrely laid out and claustrophobic and frankly with how popular they are you would think they could renovate and expand the dining room a little more. NEVER order pickup on a Friday or Saturday night. They get so busy that people have no choice to block the doors which frankly is pretty unsafe. read more

They skis have excellent pizza: thin crust, pan, or "screen style" which is like traditional hand tossed crust. It's not a big restaurant, so seating can be limited during the dinner hour, but with students off of campus at the moment, we had no problem finding a table for 7. They also do take out. Campus Polleyes is a Bowling Green tradition, and a BGSU tradition. I have been going to Polleyes for over 13 years and even though I no longer live in Ohio, I try to stop here at least once a year. I travel frequently and have been in dozens of states and several countries, and lemme tell you: ain't no place like Campus Polleyes and their breadsticks. Real talk: don't get the pizza here. It's not that good. What you NEED to get: the stuffed breadsticks. Their price has increased quite a bit since I started going here, but the quality has remained the same. My favorite is: - stuffed pepperoni with cheese sauce and marinara - stuffed chicken with cheese sauce and barbecue sauce Don't make me choose my favorite, as I cannot. In fact, because I am an intense fan who is only here once a year now, I'll get two half-orders of both of my favs. I'll eat a few and take the rest home. I'll even bring a cooler bag and some ice if it's hot out during the summer so my breadsticks will last. If I visit during the winter, even better! If you are a BGSU student or a prospective student, you must come here. Consider yourself blessed by your time in BG and your ability to enjoy these as often as your budget allows. I was in town visiting my old college campus with my daughter and was eager to enjoy some good pizza. We ordered a cheese pizza and salad with ranch dressing to split. 45 minutes went by and nothing (not even the salad), until the waiter told us the "new" guys in the back forgot to put in our order entirely. 15 minutes later it comes out and it tastes bad. Crust was hard and bland, and sauce was bitter and almost no pepperoni to be found. A couple of the guys working there looked really scruffy and appeared either...sorry, I gotta say it...drunk or stoned. The funniest part? I am a server and have worked in the service industry for years and years. My family and I just had the worst dining experience of our lives here. We just moved my sister into BGSU and wanted to get some dinner one last time all together. They only had two servers and was told their boss went to jail and didn't show up to work today. Our server was nice, but still lacked refills and it quite literally took an hour and 15 minutes for our food to come out and he said "they made it wrong". Asked for our food to go and he brought our check and it was $65, all for us to sit there for over an hour. My dad went up to pay at the front because the server said it would be easier for him and my dad handed the guy his card and said "you're talking to the wrong guy". We just had an awful experience and will be doing everything to get a full refund and some consideration. read more
