This was our first time eating at this establishment. It's an open layout. The bar is on the right when you come in, dining areas are on the left. They have booths and tables. We choose a booth that had a good view of the TVs so we could peep the hockey game. The place is clean, but it was freezing where we were sitting. We were close to a door, but no one went in or out of it. You had to use the bar door to enter. Our server was good. We didn't have to ask her to refill the drinks, she kept them coming and was attentive and got our orders taken and brought out correctly. She didn't forget anything. Attentive. I like that. The specials were steaks. I ordered the Delmonico with a crab cake, the potatoes, green beans and I added a house salad. I ordered my steak medium rare. It was delish. The green beans were good, but cold. The crab cake on top of the steak was hot and delicious. My daughter got the spaghetti and meatballs. The portions were huge and it was also delicious. I tried it haha! They used fettuccine noodles which was nice and the sauce wasn't overly spiced, it was just right. My nephew ordered boneless hot wings and cheese fries, and even though it wasn't a night they do wings, they still made them for him. He said everything was great. The cook also came out and asked if the kids had any but allergies and proceeded to bring us out a complimentary dessert. It was fried dough, chocolate sauce, peanut m&ms and whipped cream. It was very tasty. The food quality was great, portions are huge. I couldn't eat half of my 12 oz. steak. They season the food nicely and it's not over done. The staff is nice and welcoming. This is probably one of the nicest places to get good food in the valley, hands down.

Special thanks to the Tap Factory for sponsoring our 2008 soccer girls. The shirts were perfect, service was on top of it and the food was amazing.

I have been here three times now since it opened a few weeks ago. This is by far my new favorite place to eat in the Mon Valley. I am so happy they remodeled this place into something amazing. Such a huge upgrade from what it was before. The food is awesome- I haven't had anything yet that I didn't love. The seafood pasta is to die for! The philly steak hoagie, turkey club, and buff chick dip are the other items I tried, and all are excellent. I am going to lunch here tomorrow and my next order is going to be the chicken and waffles. Can't wait!!! Also gotta love the beer selection :)

Friendly service and a good beer menu topped with a nice food menu, this place was a great second stop on our ride today! We ordered wings and smothered tots and both were wonderful. I definitely recommend stopping here when you're in the Mon Valley!

Great little sports bar near Monongahela just off RT 43. Excellent food, plenty of TVs, and an awesome staff. A couple of dozen beers on tap, most of them craft!!! What more do you need???

Waffle chicken sandwich is bomb. Homemade fries are too. The beer list isn't massive but more than enough to choose from for everyone.

Made my first visit to The Village TapHouse on a Wednesday evening this past August. I love any…read morekind of Bingo, and I saw on Facebook they were holding their monthly Bar Bingo on this night. So, I made my way on over. The Village TapHouse is located in the South Hills Village Mall area, but a little up the road from the actual mall. It is tucked away in the rear of the building located on the corner of Washington Road and North Highland Road. The business that is visible from the main intersection is Clubhouse Cards. If you follow North Highland past this entrance off of Washington, The Village TapHouse will be on your right. There is some limited parking right in front of the entrance. However, since there are a lot of other businesses around here, you can find other parking across the street or before the actual entrance, regardless of which direction. I had no issue getting a spot right across the street, and making the short walk over. I arrived that evening around 7:00 PM, as that is when the Bingo was slated to start. There were a good amount of people attending the event, as the indoor main dining area was pretty much full when I arrived! No issue for me though, as I was by myself. So, I found a seat at the bar. There were several other patrons sitting at the bar, but it was not shoulder-to-shoulder or anything like that. There is also some patio seating, but I do not believe the Bingo was heard out in that area. Once situated, I went up to buy my Bingo cards from the two hosts. They were set up in the main dining room, but were using microphones. I had no issue hearing them all night long from the bar. It was $10 for a pack of 3 cards, and I purchased 2 packs. They also had daubers for sale, but I brought my own to use. I waited around for the games to start once I bought my cards, which ended up being around 7:30 PM. It was also Pajama-themed Bingo, which I was unaware of until I arrived. This allowed you for a special perk for one of the games. I am not sure if they always do this, but I would advise participating in whatever theme is advertised to get the most out of your experience. There were a few bartenders serving this evening. The lady who waited on me was prompt and friendly the whole night. I started off with a pint of FireWistle Red. It was a solid red beer, and served as a nice sipper for my evening. As the Bingo went on, I decided to put in a food order. I ordered a Half Dozen Wings in the Chicken and Waffles Wet Rub. I thought this was a unique flavor, so I wanted to give it a try. I enjoyed the taste of these! They were split wings, but overall the size was serviceable. The plate also had several pieces of celery and ranch dressing to accompany the wings. The food here was fairly priced. For my 6 wings and beer pint, the total was around $15. It seemed from the menu that the majority of entrees were $15 or under, which I believe is a great deal. Overall, no complaints in terms of prices or value. I ended up staying here for nearly three hours in order to finish the Bingo games. So, I had plenty of time to take in the atmosphere. I enjoyed the people, staff, and the overall vibe of the place. The patrons were friendly, and the staff seem to recognize their regulars while having meaningful conversation. Plus, the Bingo games brought some fun and entertainment to the night overall. This first visit of mine to The Village TapHouse was a positive one. Very much enjoyed the people, atmosphere, food, and fun Bingo activities. I cannot believe with how close I live to here that it took me this long to give it a try. Now I am happy to know there is a spot like this practically in my backyard. I have seen on Facebook that they also have Trivia Nights, so that is something I want to check out in the future. Even though I did not win Bingo this time, it will not stop me from coming back and trying again. I would recommend stopping here for a meal, or a fun night of entertainment, if you find yourself in the South Hills Village area of town.

Pretty small inside but there was a decent crowd for a week night. I got the steak philly and it was pretty good, I'd get it again. We were kinda let down with the wings. He didn't send them back because we were in a hurry, so we aren't really holding it against them. My husband ate them all and said they were cooked perfectly. However, they were SO small. For $6 you get 6 little dinky wings. He was still very hungry afterwards. I didn't hate Luxury Box, but not sure if I'll be back.

When we asked about a wine list she again said no. I have never been to a restaurant where they did not have a drink menu..... we ended up getting our usual seltzer. The menu had a decent assortment and my boyfriend loves linguine and clam sauce. We are gluten free so it was going to have to be penne but it was nice it was an option. He said he liked that they gave him a lot of clams and it wasn't a puree but there was hardly any flavor at all. I ordered the Caperese Chicken with gluten free penne..... from the picture it looked good however, the chicken was so charred all you could taste was the grill. The only thing that has some flavor was the pasta. It had a faint garlic taste. The server though friendly didn't check on us that often and our food took over 45 minutes to come out and it wasn't busy. Im not sure if we just came on a one off night but the food just wasn't good. The drinks though had a pretty good price point. I'll come back for the drinks and id skip the food.
