It's ok for large and small parties. Seating outside was windy and chilly but the waitress eventually lit an outdoor heater. The wait wasn't more than 30 minutes to be seated and served within another 30 minutes with our order. Food was also ok. Ordered fish and chips and they were average. Ordered beer but they were out of what we wanted and another wasn't cold so 3rd attempt and got a cold beer. I'd eat here again not a bad place. read more

Had a great evening at The Taphouse. The beer selection was great with lots of local brews to choose from. We had the Sloggy Pants juicy IPA, the barrel aged cream ale and the Belgian Strong ale. All were good. For our meals we had the fish n chips, Mississippi roast panini and the old bay wings. All were good. The panini should have more meat in it to make it amazing. The service was great. Jess was bartending and waiting tables. She did an amazing job and was very personable. All together a relaxed chill vibe with good food and good beer. We were traveling through from DC back to Louisiana. Will definitely look to come back when passing through. read more

This place has so many beers. So many good beers and so many local beers. I got a local beer and the fish and chips with the house made Cole slaw. Just the right amount of vinegar and celery seed. The fish was fresh tasting and had the thick breading with the fluffy style of texture. My companion also got a side salad which looked great, and the Mississippi pot roast panini which could have had some more filling in the middle but was reported to be very tasty indeed. Stopped in as we were in the area. Well lit, clean tables and bar, friendly bartender and cook. Good selection of beers on tap, if you're a Coors light fan I recommend the Schlafly white lager. Ordered the Reuben and soup of the day, fagioli. Both with potatoe salad as sides. The Reuben was on rye bread pressed in a panini press. The meat was thinly sliced, flavorful and succulent. Just the right amount of sauerkraut as to NOT overpower the meat. The fagioli soup was tomato- based vegetable and pasta. Kidney and northern beans were tender and not over cooked. The crisp celery, carrots and zucchini were a perfect balance to the few bow tie pasta. Special creole seasoning (yes, I asked) gave it enough kick that you needed a beer to wash it down. Wow! I've lived in the Enon area for about 4 years now, knew about this place and never went. But I pulled the trigger tonight, and am super satisfied! Food was excellent, I tried the Tex Mex Wrap, large portion for a good price, I didn't even finish it because it was so big! The beer selection was excellent, though small, still had many great beers on tap for a small place! Service was outstanding, the bartender actually sat down with us for a few minutes and talked! Also stayed on top of our drinks and food! 11/10 would recommend this place to anyone, and will be coming back a lot more often! read more

I was excited to find the Tap House! We need more places like this in Chester. It is a small "shot-gun" type place with a bar near the front and a row of table along one wall. It is nicely decorated and pleasant to be in. They have a nice selection of beers on tap - both local and national - with a range of types. They also frequently host tap take overs and steal the pint night which is a great way to try several beers from one brewery plus get a nice pint glass to take home. My only complaint is that the price per beer is a little high in my opinion. They offer a small food menu. We had a couple of sandwiches and they were good. I have seen the cheese and meat appetizer and it looked very nice also. Overall it is a nice place to stop in and have a beer or two not a hang out all night type of place. read more

Fun, quirky local spot with a solid draft beer list. Friendly bar crowd and staff, good bar snacks, sandwiches etc., upwards of 20 beers on tap, as well as bottles and full bar. My fiancé and I have been there twice, and only twice, because we wanted to give it another go, our experience was similar in nature. We went in early April and then again a week ago. The food is okay, but the staff can be rude, slow and tend to ghost when it comes to checking on patrons..ordered the Tex mex wrap, way overloaded with lettuce, asked for a side of sour cream and was met with a roll of the eyes! I really wanted to like this. A craft beer bar handy to the hotel sounds perfect. Alas, not so much. The menu is quite limited - several sandwiches and entree list dominated by panini. Which differs from a sandwich in some way, I am sure. They seem very price point conscious, to the point that the food disappoints. If you need to charge more to put some meat on my plate, please do so. The beer is a Hodge podge of local breweries, macros, and a few national micros. Certainly something for everyone, but meh... The decor is sterile. Just not very pleasant in general. I love the concept, and the staff/owner seem friendly. I will try again, but now there is room for improvement. read more

20 taps plus bottles. Great beer selection! The menu is small but that's a plus! Keep it simple. We had the pesto turkey sandwich and the Ruben. Both were very tasty. Unbelievable is the only way to adequately describe the most atrocious experience of my life. By the time 30 minutes had gone by after being seated by the world's rudest "GM", we had water and had put in a beer order and an appetizer. After not being able to place a food order and not receiving the appetizer within a 30 minute window, we wanted to pay for our drinks and leave. We spent a long time looking for the server at the bar and ended up seeing her eating in the kitchen, we were starving and wanted to go somewhere else. After deciding to leave because of the slow service and asking for our drink bill, the "GM", Kaitlyn, who was also the only one working proceeds to throw an appetizer on the table and tell us if we leave she is calling the cops. We tell her we will not be paying for the appetizer as the service moved so slowly we assumed the order had never been put in and decided to cancel it and leave. We were of course going to pay for the one drink ordered. This is a complaint that happens regularly in the food service industry. She proceeded to scream at us like a lunatic. Honestly never seen anything like it, especially by a "GM". We ate at the Japanese restaurant next door (really excellent, superb service). Upon walking by Taphouse to get to our car, Kaitlyn proceeds to run out of the restaurant (with customers still there) and scream at us for harassment in the parking lot, blocking our car from leaving. We ended up having to record her because we were afraid of her attacking us she was that out of control. Wouldn't recommend unless you want to pay for an appetizer you never received, be screamed at by an unstable person, and then be harassed in the parking lot while trying to leave. UPDATED: To owner, looked at myself and realized I don't deserve to be treated horribly by your staff. Maybe 18 minute ticket time because she forgot to put in the order while she was eating in the kitchen instead of checking on tables? Your cameras must be broken because police were never called, we put money on the table to get away from irate employee. What would the cops be called for? Having a service complaint? Fine, I'll talk to any officer on that one. Does footage show her blocking us from leaving and blocking us in parking lot? Show her chasing us out to our car and refusing to leave us alone? Clearly you have no concern for your customers and the service at your low grade establishment read more

I spent yesterday evening at The Taphouse at Rivers Bend for St. Patrick's Day. It was a very enjoyable experience. The bartender Anthony was excellent in his service despite being very crowded. He also had a considerable knowledge about the different craft beers on tap. I will definitely be coming back here again. read more

This place has a great selection of craft beers on tab and the bar tender was very knowledgeable about each beer. So if you're a beer connoisseur, this place is great (5 star rating). If there is one negative, it is the bright and diner-like atmosphere with minimal seating (shopping center bar) and food was ok (3 star rating). read more

I've been frequenting The Taphouse for almost 2 years. I can honestly say that this is the first time my husband and I have felt like we were living our very own version of "Cheers". The staff know your name, remember what you like to drink, and are incredibly friendly. It's become our favorite local spot after a long day at work and a great hangout on the weekends. DO NOT GO HERE!!! The absolute worst restaurant/bar experience of my entire 50 yrs of life! The server, Katelynn, who claimed to be the "General Manger", because we did request to speak with the manager, due to complete disrespect and lack of service, chased my husband and daughter and her fiancé out to our car holding a can of dusting polish out to our vehicle. She blocked our car from moving claiming she was going to call the police on us to which we gladly stated "please do". I ended up having to video tape the entire scenario for our own protection if anyone would like to see. This was the craziest insane experience I've ever experienced. We're a family of 4 moving our daughter to Philly for medical school. All we were looking for was a cold drink and a decent meal after a very long day. What we experienced I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. This was absolutely ridiculous! The owner claims he has footage of us walking out on the bill and the police being called...I would LOVE to see this "so called footage". There is a zero customer service motto at this establishment that is for sure. In this economy no one deserves to be treated so horribly disrespected. My advice is to go to the lovely Japanese restaurant right next store and be treated like an actual human being. I'm not done with what happened tonight. I will contact the REAL owner of this so called establishment and find out if he's "cool" with his employees chasing down patrons in parking lots screaming like banshies in parking lots and risking THAT video being released via the Internet. We are simple easy going people but what happened tonight was complete abuse. What happened tonight shouldn't happen to anyone. Hard working people deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
