This place asks for 5 dollar cover charge to just walk in the door. I would avoid it at all costs.

I was there for a private event. The crowd was warm and wonderfully mixed. There was a little chat before the event began that basically told us to not get kicked out by being mean or non-inclusive. Not sure how I felt about that. Parking in Carytown is its own contact sport. Come early -- your blood pressure will thank you. I parked 6 blocks away and was lucky to get that. Bottom line: Weird, welcoming, and worth every lap around the block looking for a spot if you're into crowds and are looking for something different.

The charcuterie board we ordered was excellent and a highlight of the night. The location is also great for nightlife. That said, the drinks didn't quite hit the mark for me, and the service was inconsistent. We were told guests are expected to be quiet during the sets, yet another group was talking loudly and nothing was addressed, which felt a bit uneven. Overall, it's not a place I'd return to, and I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a more diverse crowd.

The place is warehouse size HUGE, so i doubt they ever completely pack out. The low country seafood boils are amazing, and very generously portioned. My daughter opted for king crab legs and they were perfect. The seasoning and sauce was lick your plate clean kinda yummy! Me & spouse had the fried catfish, which was amazing. Perfectly fried and seasoned. Clam chowder was new england style. Delicious, but not hot. Just warm. We were so hungry we didnt send back. Got a local IPA on tap. It was warm & stale. Our server was so kind & honest about it. She shared that several people returned their tap beers that day because they were warm, and admitted she didn't know enough about beer to help me so the bartender would come over. Wow! That's outstanding customer service! Apparently the IPAs in bottles were EXPIRED as per the very nice bartender. So I got a Sam Adams instead. Whatever, you're here for the seafood and it is excellent. Just disappointed with a huge bar, you would expect the beer to be ok. Our server, i wish i could remember her name because she was so nice and smiley. Definitely would return here if in area again. This was a pit stop on a roadtrip vacation.

Interior (8/10) - The inside looks good but the chairs at the glass tables were a little too tight for me so I decided to sit at the bar which was a good choice. The chairs at the bar felt a little wobbly but I didn't mind. I sometimes drive past this place during the night and it's always packed so I guess it's best for a post work visit. Service (8/10) - The staff were extremely friendly and on top of things and it's a local restaurant so I not going to complain. Food (9/10) - and now for the main attraction, the food tastes pretty good. I had the Crab Cake Sandwich and it was seasoned and savory. My friend ordered mozzarella sticks and they were the best mozzarella sticks I've had so far, crisped and cheesy to perfection. And the crab dip was pretty decent, too creamy and juicy to my taste (No Diddy). Overall, this place doesn't come off as a place for dinner for me but it's the perfect place for Lunch. 8.5/10

The biggest reason I deducted stars was the service. The servers didn't seem to want to be there. They did pop by to ask if we needed things but seemed to hope we wouldn't. I ordered the key lime pie martini on the rocks as I prefer a slower sip on ice and it's just easier to drink. What I didn't expect was the drink to still come in a martini glass just with ice tossed in. Because of that the waitress had it all down her arm dripping on the floor. I felt bad for her. The martini itself though was delicious. After I got the mint to be which was a water min mojito. It was delicious! Very sweet but not in an overpowering way. My mom got the Bahama mama which was just okay. The guys really enjoyed their beers. Now for food we started with the pretzel with beer cheese. The cheese costs an extra $3 which isn't a problem but the small ramekin it comes in was disappointing. There wasn't even enough for the pretzel... but it was delicious. Next we got the garlic sauce pizza with the potatoes, I can't remember the name. It was delicious and a good size. Lastly we got the brownie sundae which was also very good. The brownie was the star, being fudgey but also having big yummy chocolate chips. Definitely worth it. Over all I would like to go back and try it again.

My friends and I visited for lunch and were impressed with everything we ordered. Great portion size at a reasonable price.
