The ambiance is of a typical bar scene. Large outdoor dining space. We ate inside. The staff were attentive but not overly friendly. I'd say they were indifferent. The menu was interesting with clever names such as "Cluck around and find out". The wait time wasn't very long on food. Refills timely. The food was decent. I had the Queso Burger which did lack seasoning despite being submerged in a pool of cheese. I love the idea. The burgers were cooked well done which is totally fine since I wasn't given the option for temp request. They were just dry patties. O rings were hitting. I'll probably be back. There's was a long wait when we arrive and definitely understand why, food and drink were good. They do offer out door seating, would be great especially when the weather gets better. We received good service the whole time. Inside seating definitely got to listen to great music from the cooks, their playlist was on point. Inside is a bit small but cozy. My group from work decided to celebrate a warm Friday November first evening at the Old Town Alibi outdoor dining area. It is great to see all of the evening activity in old town, mainly because of creative owner-entrepreneurs like Kat. Our fun & friendly server, Amanda, took great care of us. She kept us supplied with water, appetizers and drinks. Our dinners were served all at the same time. Even on a busy night we were never rushed. Old Town Alibi has their standard menu items and offers unique weekly special drinks, apps and entrees. Not only mention a full bar plus a great selection of draft and bottled beer. I got the Big Quesadilla ($14)and Fried Pickles($10). The big quesadillas stuffed with thinly sliced cheese steak, swiss cheese, and Mac N Cheese. Me and my family wanted a nice lunch outside so we came to Alibi's. We sat on the patio and it was lovely. A great place to go in the warm months! I got the breakfast club and my husband got the Southern Charm. We also got fried pickles (not pictured) and they were so hot and crispy and DELICIOUS that I forgot to take a picture lol. The breakfast club was delicious and super fresh and crunchy! My husband said his was also amazing! Our waitress was super nice and attentive. This is one of our favorite quick lunch spots. My son is a junior at VSU and I have been coming to Petersburg for quite sometime and definitely more than a 5-6 trips a year. I'm so sad that I have just discovered this place. It's under new ownership as is referred as #katsalibi. New menu, great food. I got the Little Clucker, a nice spin on chicken and waffles only with French toast. So good. I ate it too fast to take a picture. My husband got the Breakfast Club.. impeccable! We will be back at the end and of the semester and will definitely make this a "must stop". We arrived as they opened the doors at 11am on a Friday. Several people sat at the bar; we grabbed seats at the nearby high table. The server was waiting on everyone and making bar drinks. She kept up the pace very well! Out comes the mozzarella sticks; nothing fancy but they were hot and served with marinara. Shrimp & grits looked pretty in the bowl and the flavor was spot on. Generally we go to Longstreet's across the street and stare over here but we decided to change it up recently and go here while staring across the street at Longstreet's. It was a terrible decision on our part because now we are going to have to make a decision every time we come down for lunch and it is going to feel like having to pick a favorite child. Our server was so welcoming and friendly, was also very attentive and our glasses were never empty. The specials menu will get me in a lot of trouble because I want to try every single thing before it vanishes forever, but I know that my wallet and my waistline would not particularly care for that. I ended up getting the Mexican Fiesta Nachos "Appetizer" because I am a huge fan of nachos for the meal and I am convinced that I need to bring more friends next time. It was MONSTROUS. Came here for some mimosas with friends and had a fantastic time! We ordered the mimosa flight which has an original mimosa, mixed berry mimosa and the mango mimosa. I personally enjoyed the original the most; however, all were great. Our server, Caleb, took great care of us. Once we were hungry, we asked for recommendations and he gave us some good options. One friend ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch French Toast and another ordered the Cheese Steak Smash and both said their food was fantastic. I ordered the Fried Green Tomato BLT and it was great as well! It's a very fun environment, everyone was having a great time, laughing and drinking their mimosas. So it was hard to hear at times . We still had great conversation despite Pearl Jam lol lol I recommend Alibi for anyone... Yes we try to come here occasionally ... I love that they have Happy Hour everyday ! Sunday as well . Sunday seems to be a quieter slower day which I love. However this Sunday was noisy . I never knew 4 people could be so loud and animated with their conversation. We decided to move toward the back so we could hear each other and enjoy our Sunday burger . The waitress apologized for their loudness which wasn't necessary , but certainly great customer service . After all it is a Bar . That's why we try to come when it's slower . Stopped by the Alibi on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Heard a lot of Good things about their Brunch. They have a nice brunch and lunch menu. My friends and I ordered a couple pitchers of Mimosas along with some food. I'm only giving them a 3 star because I didn't enjoy the shrimp and grits. I wasn't aware it had sausage in it and it was very salty. I did enjoy the lemon pepper wings. My friends enjoyed the waffle panini and a few other things. Courtney was our waitress and she was really nice polite and patient. She actually had us cracking up at a few times. It's rare to have great waitresses like that.
