I get why this place is so highly rated! The people are SO friendly and willing to answer any questions about their own shop and the area they're in. The young woman who helped us at the counter was great. The donuts were SOOOOOO good! I didn't really notice a difference with the potato flour from any other donuts I've had but it doesn't matter. They're just plain good! And you just can't beat those prices! Donuts for 5 people and a couple drinks for under $20 is really exceptional in this day and age. This donut shop is the best donut shop in the land! I'm telling you, I got the Katrina piece I didn't get a photo of it b/c I almost ate my fingers off eating it so fast. It was rectangular shaped with soft edges. It was so unassuming. It was basically like their standard glazed donut which is soft, pillowy, light flaky glaze all over, and melt-in-your-mouth soft. Finding a new donut spot is our thing whenever we end up in a new place. Yelp led me here and we were really excited to try them out. I think the reviews here over hyped this for us and we were left pretty disappointed. The staff wasn't really friendly this morning, and there weren't many smiles going around. It's a small little shop, and can get a little tight when people start sardine canning it inside. We opted for a half dozen. An applesauce, blueberry, s'mores, strawberry filled, vanilla, and a maple. The applesauce donut didn't really give any apple vibes at all - it had a little hint of spice. The maple didn't give me the distinct maple flavor I was looking for, it was just sweet. My kiddo didn't enjoy the vanilla donut either. The strawberry filled was quite nice however, and the jelly wasn't too sweet or too tart. Our favorite was the blueberry donut. Maybe for this area these donuts are superior, but I wasn't blown away. I love that they're not a chain though, and I love that they're so well supported by their locals! If I ever get a craving for a blueberry donut, I'd come back here for that one specifically. read more

5/5 best donut I've had in a long time. This place had such a long line out the door on the Saturday morning that we visited, but I understand the hype! Though maybe they could have used more staff members to keep it moving, haha. The donut I had (a regular chocolate frosted) was so light and airy, absolutely delicious. I would be delighted to start every single day with a Tatonut, but alas, I don't know when I'll be back in town. The donut flavors are simple and delicious and whether you're in the mood for something chocolatey or something a little simpler they've got you covered! I'm also extremely happy that they offer Blended coffee beverages because that's kind of my thing! The staff is super sweet and very accommodating! You can sit inside or take your order to go. I love the seating at the window so that you can do some people watching while you have a sweet treat and escape the heat! My only reason for the four stars instead of five is that I wish there were more flavor options.
