The bar staff are well informed about pairings for your meals if that's in your interest. The bourbon selection is phenomenal as well. Whether you're seated in front, at the bar, in the restaurant, or in the grotto in the back the ambience is inviting and beautiful with local art on display.

You can sit out front , on the back patio, or if you like noise and excitement sit inside! We typically like the back patio but if nothing is available there, the front porch is just fine. It must be a good place to work because the staff seems stable. We regularly request Tara as our server but others have been great as well. It's nice to see familiar faces of people who remember you even if you dine there only a couple times a year. The menu is small but the food is always good. There are regular dishes and seasonal specials. Desserts are excellent and the drinks well-crafted. One issue subtracted a star. They recently started charging for the bread that comes out before the meal. No one told us and so we ate several baskets. A table for four gets the same bread as does a two top and so the portion for four is insufficient and thus more has to be ordered.

My husband ordered the red beans and rice -- he said they were decent, but not quite up to homemade standards (though I think he was just trying to flatter me!). He did reach for the hot sauce to give them a little kick. I snuck a bite of the cornbread, which was lightly sweetened -- really enjoyed it. The chicken breast was flavorful, extra crispy, and crunchy, but the crust was a bit too hard to chew comfortably. My husband may have tried a bite as well, and we both noticed the meat itself could have used a little more seasoning. Despite the small critiques, we always enjoy our visits to Patio 44. We sat outside on the patio after 9 p.m. -- a great atmosphere for a night out. The wait staff was wonderfully attentive; three of them rushed over as soon as we arrived. The bar was fully stocked, though we skipped cocktails this time. It's also a quick, pleasant walk from our hotel -- perfect for a night stroll. We'll definitely be back and plan to try something different next visit!

And also, right in front of where Biloxi's one of a hand full of Mardi gras parades roll. We asked if it was ok that we stay parked since we were blocked from leaving, and they said it was fine **always check to make sure it is ok, as in New Orleans, things like this may not be OK** But this was a fun little unplanned surprise, we got to see a parade, not worry about traffic or parking, and we got to see our show at Beau Rivage. Now on to the food and the service. The service was fantastic. We had the sweetest waitress. She was so attentive. I wanted to sit on the balcony as their balcony seating, but since it was February, it was a little chilly out that night and she seated us near the fireplace upstairs instead. We ordered the honey bourbon steak tips, it came with slices of buttered, I think - garlic bread. It was a fabulous start! Then we shared the steak and lobster. I loved the presentation with the little fire on the steak. It made it more romantic. The whole restaurant is a nice date night vibe. It is in a beautiful two-story Acadian style looking home. Parking is plentiful. Service was great. Presentation was great. Location is great.
