Food is decent. Drinks are decent as well. It's a cozy dining area and a nice patio outside when the weather is nice. Salmon entree is just ok. Same with the lemon chicken. Chicken was a little dry. Service was friendly. read more

Food was good. Wait staff were great. It was convenient to have good meals while we had a loved one in the hospital.

In town on business and staying at the Pine Barn Inn. Figured I would give this place a shot. Started with a bowel of soup, it had good flavor but could have been served at a hotter temperature. I got a burger to go along with the soup. First it was under cooked, asked for medium but it came out so rare a good vet could have brought it back to life. Like the soup it had good flavor. Don't be in a hurry the kitchen is slow and the dining room is understaffed. Friendly but the poor girl was running her butt off. read more

Been here about three times and ordered three different dishes at three different seasons of the year. Pine Barn's Tavern keeps things interesting by switching up the menu every so often. I had wonderful experiences 2/3 times. First time ever trying dish here was an awesome char grilled sirloin. The steak was teaming with flavor and character. It was surprisingly one of the best steaks I've had so far. It's hard to believe that it was just a choice grade sirloin steak but it was prepared by a clear expert. The seasoning and my preferred doneness was just perfect. The second time here, I had a similar experience with filet mignon medallions that blew me away with the flavor! However, my most recent visit at this restaurant sadly brings down the overall experience to what would've been a 5/5 rating. I ordered shrimp+scallop scampi and my gf ordered a veal schnitzel. The scallops were not seasoned and was barely seared. Most of the pieces were not seared at all. The noodles were done a little softer than al dente. However, I wonder if the chef forgot to season the whole dish with even salt or pepper. It was the most bland meal I have ever tasted and was greatly disappointed. I guess it was quite a busy day at the restaurant since we didn't get service after sitting down outside until a good 25 minutes after arrival. Our waters arrived after 30 minutes of arriving. As I grew impatient to was about to leave, the kind waiter deeply expressed his apologies and took our orders explaining that it's been a busy day so far. This was the first time I've ever sent back the whole dish after just a few bites. I was not able to force myself to eat potentially undercooked scallop and risk my health on top being of a fairly bland dish. The kind waiter talked to the manager and was able to remove the dish off the bill. The veal schnitzel was over cooked and poorly battered. It was also plated with purple cabbage that was seemingly braised in some sort of barbecue sauce type flavor which poorly complimented the rest of the flavors on the plate such as the sweet and sour apples and the hearty potato pancake. Definitely will not be my last time giving Pine Barn Inn's tavern another shot since we all have bad days and everyone deserves a second chance, especially when it used to serve great food! read more

Very disappointed, this used to be such a great place with great food. Met some friends for dinner, it was a beautiful night so we decided to sit on the patio. We could sit anywhere, it wasnt busy at all but, all the tables were dirty and needed to be wiped down. Waitress brought out menus and we had to ask to have the table cleaned. Food was mediocre and service was subpar. Will be looking for somewhere else to meet friends. read more

It was my birthday and we called ahead to make a reservation at 7:30pm and weren't told they were closing at 8 over the phone or given any notice. After we ordered our food we got our drinks that tasted off and eventually got our salad order. The salad had wilting tomatoes in it but was otherwise fine. When we got our dinner my steak was sweet even though it was just a basic flank steak and our vegetables looked like it was just over boiled and tasted terrible. When I asked the waitress about the steak being sweet she avoided speaking to me for the rest of the day instead of even responding to the question. It was very strange for us to mistakenly come to a restaurant before closing but the fact that they accepted our reservation still without a heads up that they were closing so soon wasn't all our fault. So it feels like we received retaliation from the staff for it by the bad service and terrible food. I wish we never went to that restaurant knowing people would purposely alter your food because you came in late for a reservation that they booked. I wouldn't trust these people with my food of they are capable of something like this. read more

I liked it. As far as Danville is concerned, it's as good as you can get. Very busy and not enough staff.

Went here with a friend. We both had the fish and chips. Fresh fish battered and fried to perfection. Can't wait to take hubby here. Will definitely be back!!! read more

We heard the food was good from a hospital employee so we tried twice to love it. The dishes we had were roast beef sandwich, Mac n cheese with chocolate sauce, chicken salad sandwich, mac n cheese with burnt ends, crab cake sandwich, and fish n chips. I ate the roast beef sandwich which was unremarkable but edible, and the fish and chips. The fries were good and the fish was very good and bigger than the plate! No room in my tummy for the Cole slaw with all that yummy fried fish. I would order that again for sure. My family members ate the other dishes and liked the Mac n cheese with chocolate sauce. The one with burnt ends was inedible as it was burnt all the way to the bottom of the dish, and the meat was burnt to literally ash. The sandwiches weren't even finished as they were so disappointing. We will likely be back for hospital appointments but not sure if we would risk paying so much for a meal that was not good. The service is slow on a busy night but good on a weeknight. I'm guessing they can't find enough help which seems to happen everywhere these days. read more

This place is fantastic. Try the Chocolate Bar-B-Que Pulled Pork Mac n Cheese (Hersheys chocolate BBQ sauce), it's delicious. Everything else we've had is also really good. read more

Attended a benefit dinner, $45.00 a person. The dinner roll and coffee were the best part of the meal. Food was cold, could not cut the steak with the dinner knife. Some of the Desserts were unrecognizable, not sure what it was after tasting it.....? Save your money, definitely not worth the drive or the money read more
