Poor quality, poor service over many years. Food each time my wife or business assoc ate there, it was not of quality in our opinion.

Uhhhh....this is supposed to be a turkey club. It's more of a tomato sandwich? There was barely any turkey, they only put a small smear of mayo on the bread...no lettuce or anything. And I was one of the only people eating in the restaurant! I was shook lol. If you can't do a turkey club right, I don't know if I'd want to try the rest of the menu. They do have $3.50 beers on Thursdays though, so that cushioned the blow slightly. read more

Beer selection isn't great unless you like craft beers. I had a $15 salad with $4 chicken added. Mandarin salad. Very small, tiny amount of chicken. The wedge salads looked quite a bit bigger but still added only a tiny amount of chicken when asked. Very over priced! read more

I stopped in and was greeted promptly by a friendly bartender. It was a cozy sports bar atmosphere. I ordered the Tavern Burger, cooked medium. To their credit, the cook was accurate and the burger arrived at the correct temperature. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The patty itself had no seasoning, which made the entire burger fall flat. No salt, no real depth of flavor, and nothing from the toppings or bun to make up for it. For a place that positions itself as a tavern-style spot, I expect a burger to be a safe bet or even a standout. This one felt unfinished, like seasoning was an afterthought. The portion size was fine, but flavor-wise it didn't justify the price or the calories. The fries were fine, even though they were frozen, not fresh. Seeing they had a pizza oven, that may be the better move here--but based on this experience, I don't feel a strong pull to come back and find out. Wonderful spot but the manager was horrible. Was very inconsiderate and has no people skills, should not be manager! Friend from out of town booked party room for graduation party, got there and found out it was doubled booked. Manager was very inconsiderate and treated our friend horrible making it feel like it was her fault. Took no ownership to apologized for their mistake. We live in the neighborhood and it will be hard to go back because it's a nice place but management should not be there. It's a nice place for me to go since it's within walking distance to my home. The drinks are great and the food is okay. The service is hit or miss depending on how many people they have working at that time. I can't fault them for being understaffed, they are always polite and helpful. I used to love the Tavern this has been my go to place for years. The food is sub par the pizza is good but the rest is not very good. The AC is broken. The owner does not allow staff to run fans, open the doors or open the patio. The air is hot and stagnant the worst part of the restaurant is the bartender Danny she is rude, entitled and has a bit of a god complex. She smokes out front with her "regulars" drinks behind the bar and ignores people who are not her "friends" she has a really bad attitude. The owner not too far back was begging the community for money so he could buy the building via go fund me on FB. He ever had fliers in the restaurant with QR codes. The community came together and raised him money. Yet his attitude about customers being hot is "then don't come here" I don't understand why the community continues to support the Tavern. read more

Nice little tavern! Great service and friendly staff. Stopped in for a brew and some nachos while our car was being worked on near by. It was just nachos but they were good! Good selection of brews and the manager even gave my son a stack of baseball cards! Will be back again to try some more main dishes soon! read more

The tavern used to be one of my favorite spots to eat and have a drink. My brother and I went in Sunday for brunch. The bartender named Danny seems to have a "god complex " she had a bad attitude and not a very good bartender. No people skills whatsoever. The building has no air conditioning, no fans, and refuses to open the doors. It was unbearably hot. The bartender was obviously tired of the complaints and just said "tell my boss." The bathroom is nasty they have these orange things they use as air freshener but it's awful. The bathroom is falling apart. The brunch was horrible I had the biscuits and gravy to my horror they make it with chorizo. My ultimate advice is do not go here. The staff is horrible, the food even worse, it's hot and stagnant and they don't care that their patrons are spending money in the establishment to be uncomfortable, treated poorly, and horrible food. read more

My tripod team that consist of my two boys and myself was looking for a lunch place, this was what we landed on. We were first timers and took a minute to look at the menu. Everything sounded good as we were all hungry, the waitress was a gem and so kind and sweet. We ended up ordering beer battered mushrooms a tavern burger with twist fries that my oldest and I split and then got the burger special for my lil guy. Food came in a timely manner, and looked great however the food just seemed to lack flavor. Although it lacked flavor we were starving and ate what we ordered. The Tavern is very convenient and a nice casual atmosphere. Everything I have had up to now has been tasty and they have good happy hours. The prices seem disappointing. The Tavern Burger was $16.25. Not bad for a burger with cheese sauce and a bacon wrapped jalapeño popper. However, I ordered a regular cheese burger. The burger alone was $16 and then they charged me another $2 for the cheese that I ended up taking of because it wasn't good. So my simple cheeseburger was $18. I should have ordered a fancier burger because it would have saved me money. When I asked the waitress she just said yep. It's right. This was after I asked how much a burger was before ordering it and she said about $10 but she didn't know for sure. **READ THIS REVIEW** So I came here to grab something small to eat and drink while watching a football game. This was my second time trying out this place. As an experienced food critic on Yelp, I DO NOT recommend this place. Let me explain why. When I arrived I went and sat at the bar. The bartender named "Winter" took a while to come over to me to take my order. She didn't care to look or acknowledge that I was there, even though it wasn't that busy, and chatted with coworkers a bit before coming over. When she finally came over I asked if there was hard cider. She said yes, and pointed at the tap. She didn't bother to tell me about the 3 other types of cider down below in the cooler, I'm guessing because she is obviously careless and ignorant. After this, I asked for the $5 dollar bar burger special and the $5 dollar wing special. She asked if I wanted the side salad, in replacement for fries, since this place does not have a gluten free fryer. After about 5 minutes, she first brought out the side salad. And walked away very quickly. She didn't care to bring me any dressing for it and I sat for a while before she came back so I could ask her for it. When I asked for the dressing she then brought me the oil and vinegar bottles with the vinegar bottle completely empty. (Did someone forget their brain today?) Then about 20 minutes later, she brought my burger and wings and again walks away really fast. She didn't care to see if I needed ketchup, mustard, or Mayo. (Yup, someone forgot their brain!) So I then waited about 5 minutes for her to return so I could ask for those things. After eating the burger and wings, and finished watching the football game, I asked for the bill. She then gave me the bill and the price was really high, for what I ordered. I looked closer at the bill and she charged me for the side salad, which she said was in place of fries, and also charged me for the large plate of wings, after I specifically asked for the cheaper bar special. When I brought this to her attention, she said "Yeah, that was my bad" and then went and continued to charge me for the high price. Are you serious?!How shameful and terrible, basically stealing from me as a customer. Not only this, but my stomach was in pain from a gluten reaction to the food. I felt terrible the rest of the evening from eating here. This is a warning to all those out there who are allergic to gluten; take notice! I tried to reach out to the manager and owner several times about this experience, and was also promised to be contacted by Brett, and no management ever returned any replies. Terrible! No wonder the staff are able to act and treat customers like this. I ask that you draw your own conclusions, but personally, seeing that they basically like to steal from their customers, are incompetent, have poor service, poor attitudes, and care less about hearing what customers think or feel, I strongly recommend that you go somewhere else. Where should you go in the Greeley area instead? Try the following restaurants instead: Buffalo Wild Wings, Cables, Nordy's, Empire Pizza, Daruma Sushi, Bulldog Pub, Cancun Mexican Restaurant, and Luna's Tacos, all of which are in the area. read more

We always like to come here. Atmosphere is chill and the servers are friendly. Simplified menu makes choosing easy. Nothing that doesn't "hit the spot" missing. Had lunch there. ordered a half order of fish and chips. i received three little index finger sized breaded fish sticks. over cooked, breading was burned in some spots. the fish had absolutely no flavor. Had friend try it and he agreed. no taste at all. that was, hands down, one of the worst meals I've ever eaten. Chunky potatoes that were like mush inside. Friend ordered a bowl of soup that looked like a cup. other friend ordered a pizza that was tasteless. My ice tea was weak and tasteless too. Second, AND LAST, time I will ever waste my money there. Why bother having pizza if you are going to put only 8-10 slices of pepperoni and 8-10 halves of mushrooms? And charge extra for every topping!! $2.30 for pepperoni and mostly got cheese pizza. Disappointing If I wanted a cheese pizza, I would have ordered just that.. Don't have pizza on the menu if you can't put adequate amount of toppings on them. So I would like to ask the owner/chef, if you went to a real pizza place and only got 8 slices of pepperoni on your pizza, would you complain or accept it? The ambiance is quite nice. Staff is great too. However, there are a couple things that brought my rating down. 1st and foremost - the dude cooking the food has his hair tied in the back and wears a hat. However, his scraggly beard is free and large. Hair in food grosses me out and that dude needs to wear a hair thingy. He may be ok with the health department but the optics are terrible. The French Onion soup is bland with the spice that dominates is pepper. Meh. Fried chicken was strangely - dry. Mashed potatoes were dry and tasteless too. Dad said the Tilapia was good. It took over 20 minutes to get drinks or appetizers (and we waited a while for anyone to take our order) and over 30 minutes after some of the dinner dishes were cleared to get our check. Came here for my birthday with a party of 6. Great service and AMAZING food. Everyone ordered different entrees and shared a few appetizers and drinks. The food was hot, flavorful and so good! Do the folks leaving 5 star reviews work here or have friends or family that do? Not sure how anyone rates this place as amazing. The kitchen is slow, the food is mediocre at best, and I just had a bowl of French Onion Soup that'd make a French chef embarrassed to have his country associated with it. I think it may have actually been doused with a barrel of hot sauce back in the kitchen. If you plan to have a burger here, thinking that bar burgers are generally great wherever you go, you'll be disappointed when you realize that your clutzy cousin Fred grills a better burger in his backyard. All of that being said, the second star is for the wait staff, who are clearly working hard and doing the best that they can, despite the slow downs in the kitchen and the meh food they're serving.
