We had lunch yesterday at the Tavern at Granite Links. The chicken caesar wrap was delicious, and the bacon-wrapped scallops were the perfect starter. The atmosphere and view were beautiful as always! Service could have been a bit more attentive, but everyone was friendly overall. Still a great spot for a relaxing lunch.

We were in the area and stopped by Granite Links, figuring their on-site restaurant might have some nice views at the Tavern. Luckily we came at an off-peak time and were able to snag a table somewhat close to the windows, where there was a nice view of the Boston skyline and the nearby golf course. We ordered the fish and chips and a chicken dish that I don't remember the name of. My major impressions were that the portions were very generous, the flavors good, but the service was quite slow (it seemed like they only had 1 waitress covering a whole bunch of tables). Overall, glad we came but probably won't be back!

I see a lot of the reviews on this place aren't great. We enjoy The Tavern for the beautiful views, lively atmosphere and solid food. We kept it simple and just ordered a couple of "Bowls" with proteins, but both delivered great flavors and proper cooks on out proteins The Mexican bowl featured perfectly cooked medium steak tips with vibrant Mexican spices and fresh veggies and Beans over rice. The Asian bowl offered a delightful contrast with its pan-seared scallops. Each scallop was expertly seared to a golden perfection, delivering a delicate yet savory taste. The Asian-inspired sauce and accompanying vegetables added depth and complexity to the dish. The only negative was our waitress was nowhere to be found the entire meal. The bus boys had our table cleaned for a good 15 min before we had to flag her down to the the check.

Service was great. The serving sizes were quite large. Many items on the menu can be adjusted depending on allergy.

Both were good but the skins were very good. Come to find out That "The Fours "restaurant cook for the Loft ... Entrees were the Lobster roll ,chicken wrap and Hot Pastrami. Lobster roll I'm told was ok, on small side for $30. Hot pastrami was boiled. I personally like it fried. I find fried to retain more flavor and it came on a cold bulkie roll. I like grilled dark rye. Oh well. Onion rings were ok though. Not home made but still ok. Never understood why restaurants don't make them by hand. Sooo much better. That lil extra touch makes the meal. I'm told the chicken wrap was ok. Men's room could use more attention or give lessons to the men on how to aim. There was urine all over floor ...also had no hand towels to dry hands. I had to tell the hostesses. A clean bathroom tells me the kitchen is clean. Overall the best part of experience was the stunning atmosphere and view. If they worked on food aspect ,this place would be packed every nite.

We also love their stuffed dates. For entrees, I had their Salmon which is always cooked to perfection. My husband's had their Steak Frites which he enjoyed very much. Dessert is always a tough choice since all of them are excellent but this time we went with their brownie sundae. When an exceptional steak house does Sunday brunch, it does Sunday brunch exceptionally well. Masons is one of my favorite steakhouses. Today, we tried out their all you can eat Sunday brunch. The open kitchen steak house aroma hits you as soon as you step through the doors. Then you see the spread and the patrons who jovially enjoying time together. From large parties to couples, everyone has a smile and a look of content. I skip the pastry to save room for the star of the show, the prime rib. That said, I did try a little of the savory baked egg with tomato sauce, eggs with cheese, and steak bacon. All of which were elevated breakfast dishes. The prime rib was out of this world. They dunk it into the bone broth that gives it an extra boost of flavor and juice. You can add horseradish and Mason's own steak sauce to it. Then there was a spread of grilled fall veggies that scrumptious. I also got an egg white made to order omelette. I asked for everything because the ingredients were all elevated from typical omelette station ones. Jimmy, the owner, happened to come out to help out with the omelette station. He made my omelette and it was awesome sauce. I was craving for some seafood to go with this meal. To my delight, the Bloody Mary I ordered came with a gigantic shrimp. It was so big I shared it with my wife. There was also a slice of bacon. Just the right mix of savory and buzz. On a stormy fall day, the bone broth was hitting just right. Rich in flavor and warms up the body. I did return for the pastry and bread puddling for dessert. Sweetest way to end an amazing and fulfilling meal. I can't wait to do this again in the future.

The food is not made upon ordering. I tried to order the penne vodka without the bacon in the sauce. I was told that "that's the way it comes." So it was pretty clear that the cook is not making any sauce when you order it. (This isn't a red sauce that takes hours.) Food and drinks were fine, it was our service that made the experience bad. From the beginning our server jack was very short with us. I asked if they had a kids menu to which he just replied no. No follow up or recommendations. But ok we got a chicken tenders app for him and he was fine. We asked if they had any juice. He replied no just milk or chocolate milk. so I said chocolate milk was fine. He then proceeded to bring over a glass of chocolate milk and a glass of water for my 3 year old. This truly confused me since the young boy across from us in the restaurant had a kids cup. My stepfather ended up going to the bar (where the bartenders were very nice) and they remade the chocolate milk in a kids cup For him. They also informed my stepfather that they did have some juices, but we just stuck with the milk since they didn't have apple juice which is what my son wanted. Throughout the night the server continued to be very short with us, if we had a question he just seemed annoyed like we were bothering him. It also seemed like we were his only table from what I could tell, at least on the dining side. Literally never smiled once to us. I used to be a server and I typically am very lax when it comes to service. As long as I'm treated respectfully, I'm happy. But this guy truly just dampened the mood.

I got shrimp steam rolls, Chinese donuts, ovaltine French toast, ice coffee, hot soy milk and cold soy milk. The fried chicken bolo was interesting. She told me it was the most popular item on the menu. I personally don't understand why. It is fried chicken with a slaw and on a bun with some sort of crumble on top. I was not impressed. The Chinese donuts were cold and old tasting; I was super disappointed. The shrimp steam rolls were very delicious! The ovaltine French toast is sweet. It has ovaltine powder on it and it's covered with sweetened condensed milk. It is tasty, sweet and a bit messy to eat but I enjoyed it. Iced coffee was strong. Iced soy milk is preferred over hot soy milk but that is just personal preference and it was over 90 degrees outside. It is a small cafe with limited seating at the window. The menu is on the wall. You order and when it's done they call your number. It is NOT ADA friendly. You have to climb stairs to get in. It was quite difficult for me as I was using my cane.
