    Cowboy burger
    Pat M.

Stopped by the drive-thru to check out the burgers. We both had the cowboy burgers; Onion rings, bacon, cheese, BBQ sauce, and small fries, it was $27 ouch!!! Burger was not seasoned, tasted bland, similar to a frozen patty from a flat top, also undercooked with pink in the middle. Not bad, not good, but not great, definitely not worth $27 bucks! Maybe $10? Doesn't take much to improve a burger folks, and for that price? Come on now.

Beyond patty add pineapple add jalapeños so Yummy!

I adore this place. I've gone serval times but always forget to write a review. I sub a beyond patty get it dry and no cheese add pineapple and jalapeños it's the perfect veggie burger. The patty is crispy and all around good (some places that use the beyond pattys are just gross and seem to be raw in the middle, that's not the case here) The onion rings are delicious! And so are the Churros I had low expectations for those but they were great, although I personally did not need the ice cream I'm sure other individuals would love it. You could complain that it's a bit overpriced, but it's the convince of a drive though, In a small mountain town and they have vegetarian (maybe vegan) options which makes it it worth the money for me Plus it's NOT a huge cooperation like McDonald's (that's an extra win in my book) The service is great and the food is even better. Definitely one of my go to places especially since it's open "late" (9pm) for mountain standards

It was the worst ambiance if any restaurant ever. The food was ok, but they don't care about their customers at all.

For $18.95, I expected them to at least pluck the feathers off of the bluejay instead of just slapping it on a bun... gross!

Whenever we visit the mountain, this is a solid breakfast choice. We've been coming for years,…read moreso...time for a review! The ambiance is old-fashioned, in a good way. Vintage dinnerware adorns the walls, the curtains are straight out of grandma's house. You get the vibe! It was Memorial Day weekend, so there was a bit of a wait to be seated, about 30 minutes. We killed the time by getting some excellent Bloody Marys at Jetties, just a few steps away. After being seated, the service was super fast. We got our food maybe 10 minutes after ordering, and the place was packed. The kitchen was really hustling. Food: Wife got the Little Breakfast, as usual. Waffle was nice and light, bacon was crispy, eggs cooked over easy, as ordered. Our two friends ordered from opposite ends of the spectrum. He got the Mountain Breakfast, which is a tremendous amount of food. Eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, potatoes, etc. I'm not sure how he finished it. She got just a single waffle. But she enjoyed it. Finally, I went rogue, skipped breakfast and got the Reuben and Onion Rings. It was a sloppy sandwich but had plenty of corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss. Very tasy. The onion rings were better than I expected, lightly battered and crunchy. Also got a Bloody Mary here, which was nowhere near as good as the ones at Jetties. But the Waffle Works doesn't use real vodka, so I kind of expected that. In the end, a good time and satisfying meal. A ding for the crowdedness and value, and it's good food--not great. A little over $100 for the four of us, which is more than I like to spend for breakfast. But still, we will be back!

Absolutely no for thought is made when seating people with dogs, guests with dogs are seated at tables in the middle of walkways, and no thought is made about placing dogs next to other tables with dogs or very young children without any thought or forewarning. Service was meh. Our waitress was abrupt and and not at all welcoming or friendly. Ordered iced coffee and it was as light as tea. No refills of water or coffee wherever offered, our waitress never came back to see if our food was OK which it pretty much wasn't. The bananas were so hard and unripe they were in edible. Strawberries were also not ripe. We are here for a few days, but we definitely will not be coming back to this restaurant.

I think it took 10 minutes to get water, 10 minutes to find someone to get our order in, and then 20-30 minutes until our food came out. Definitely a very slow paced restaurant - come if you're not in a hurry and in a chill mood. We actually came here because all the other restaurants we wanted to try had a 2+ hour long wait and Sunsets was only about 30 minutes. You can walk around the village while you wait, which helps a lot.

We ordered the Pupu Platter which came with only one conglomerate piece of tempura when reportedly we were supposed to get 4 separate pieces. The coconut shrimp was raw as seen in the photo. Fortunately they replaced this with another platter of coconut shrimp. The shrimp and mahi mahi tacos were great as was the mushroom ravioli. However the NY strip (which came recommended) had an uneven cook as seen in the photo which looks as if they did not let the steak come to room temperature before cooking. Also was very Underseasoned with a bland taste. The mashed potatoes (also pictured) was bland as well without a creamy texture as expected of mashed potatoes. No complaints about service. Would like to think maybe we caught them on an off day since it was Memorial Day weekend but unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. May have been better to just save the money and make a decent dish at home.

Our waiter could not have been nicer. I wish I could remember his name. He was so kind and eager to make our visit a good one. We started with the deep fried mushrooms which were good, but a little too heavily battered for my taste. They came with 2 dipping sauces, a spicy aoli style and an Asian chili sauce (sweet). I had the grilled salmon with lemon caper sauce. It came with your choice of 2 sides. I got the fully loaded baked potato and steamed vegetables. My meal was delicious and a large serving that I could not finish. Good value at $24. My husband got the ribeye with herb roasted potatoes and a salad. The salad was large and fresh with plenty of carrots and tomatoes. The herb roasted potatoes were delicious, but I would definitely get the fully loaded baked potato again. My husband said his ribeye was delicious and cooked exactly as he asked (medium). I had a martini which was a generous pour and the bartender even hand-stuffed some olives with blue cheese for me which was really kind as the bar was quite busy. The atmosphere was great - filled with people enjoying themselves dining, talking, and laughing. Restrooms were spacious and clean. My only complaint was that the seats were hard wood. It would be nice to have cushions of some sort, but that won't stop us from coming back for the good food & drinks, and great service at lake arrowhead sports grill and bar!

I started my meal with a craft beer and a half order of the Grilled Caesar. I also was fortunate to have the opportunity to try the steak Tartare. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and well-crafted with fresh ingredients, and it made for an overall great meal.
