Absolutely top tier experience. I felt bad when we arrived because there were only two girls running the front, but they handled themselves so well and so professionally and were both polite despite being stressed. My table was not as much of a handful as the other reservations, but the girls were still polite to all tables. Myself and the other two people with me all ordered the full afternoon tea, plus I ordered their cream of crab soup, party member 1 ordered their soup of the day (chicken tortilla), and party member 2 ordered their house salad. Everything was beyond my expectations. The full tea was surprisingly filling, and everything was so delicious. I wish I could give Michelin stars because they would get 500 of them from me. The overall concept of the "Victorian tea" was hit perfectly, matching with the decor and real china for eating and drinking. That particular day a lot of the other tables had loud children, but that's not something the restaurant can control so it's not something I took personally. Make sure if you go you check out the handmade jewelry and purchase some of their teas to take home. My party's personal favorites were lemon blueberry, mid summer nights dream, and raspberry bush. We hosted a surprise 85th birthday at The Tea Trolley. Jordan was amazing to work with during the planning process. The entire staff went above and beyond to make the party an afternoon my mom will never forget. Everyone that attended raved about the scones, tea sandwiches and desserts, as well as the tea. The red room was the perfect room, beautifully decorated and just the right size for our group of 18. We will definitely be back to enjoy The Tea Trolley again. read more

I have been to several tea houses in the past, but sadly many have closed. The tea trolley is a beautiful old home located in Delta, PA. The old living room of the house has been repurposed into a tea parlor. The tables are set beautifully. Each place setting has a different set of exquisite China. We ordered the light afternoon tea. The tea menu was lengthy; lots of choices! Each member of our party ordered a pot of tea of their choosing, which came in a beautiful pot. The food was plentiful. Each table receives a three tiered tray. The top layer had fresh baked scones, the second layer had clotted cream, lemon curd, and strawberry jam. The bottom layer had our tea sandwiches. Loved the scones! Why only 4 stars? Our server was pleasant but didn't take the time for any extra interaction. We had two people in our party that have never been to a tea house before, and had no idea what the toppings on the middle tier of the tray were all about. Tea servers always explain in detail about the tray they are presenting. They tell you what each topping is and that it is used to flavor the scones. They should also tell you what each sandwich contains. But our server just put the tray down in the middle of the table and left! We had no idea if the one sandwich was chicken or tuna salad. Very important because we had someone there with a fish allergy! Overall, a great experience, which could have been made wonderful had our server taken a bit more time with us. This was a first visit. It was for a birthday. After reading the great reviews we really looked forward to it. However, it was disappointing I'm sorry to say. Upon arriving no one heated us. We stood around in the gift shop waiting until eventually a hostess appeared. Our server was friendly, but overwhelmed. Perhaps they were understaffed. We saw plenty of staff, but mainly picking up. We ordered 2 high teas. Tea arrived quickly enough, but our food took nearly 40 minutes. We waited and waited. The tea got cold and we waited some more. The food was okay, but nothing special honestly. Small portions. The server was missing in action, ringing up other guests who were leaving. The hostess vanished. We got essentially no service once our food was finally dropped off. The place had no heat either. Apparently the oil company never came. Not their fault, but an uncomfortable experience on a 25 degree day in December. $70 later we left more than a bit underwhelmed. We won't repeat. We'll look for other places to explore. It's unfortunate because the entire experience should have been, could have been, wonderful. Instead, it was mediocre. Definitely a pass for us. Perhaps you'll fair better. Highly recommended and adorable place in a small town on the PA/MD border. It really feels like a step outside of the bustle of daily life into and old English tea parlor. The tea room is in a converted large old house and the layout of the original home has been preserved. Everything proceeds at a sedate pace - this is not a place to go for a quick bite. To be fair that is exactly the mood that afternoon tea should have, it is a time for chatting with your friends and taking your time over an hour to catch up and snack and sip. The items themselves were delicious, loved the warm scones and generously sized sandwiches. Really, for the price, it is a sizable meal and we weren't able to finish all of the desserts. Really really pleased they allowed refills of the tea or switching to another tea for free- that's the way to do it! Overall just such an adorable, charming experience, highly reminiscent of getting afternoon tea in the UK and one of the best tea experiences I've had in the US! read more

I've come here 3 or 4 times with my mom. She loves this place, and it is very nice. The decor and China is quaint and cute. Much of what you would expect from a tea room. The food is very delicious and so is the tea. I also appreciate that they accommodate me as a vegetarian. And of course the tea is excellent. The only improvement I would suggest is that they figure out how to serve the room at the same time or at similar times at least. It can be excruciating watching other tables get their food and literally waiting 10 minutes to get yours. read more

Due to COVID 19 we had take out tea for Father's Day from The Tea Trolley. It was superb!!! We had salad, cream of crab soup, triple chocolate scones with clotted cream, lemon curd and strawberries, four sandwiches (each better than the one before) and four desserts including small apple crumble pies. The two teas we recieved were (our choice -darjeerling and decaf peach) and were excellent. I can hardly wait until we can sit inside this wonderful Victorian Tea Room again. read more

This place was recommended by another Tea Room, which was booked and only taking reservations. It was a 30 minute further drive but was well worth it. Me, my mom and my granddaughter went to The Tea Trolley for afternoon tea. The soup du jour was Potato Soup, which was delicious. My mom and I both had the Almond Tea and The Birthday Tea. Both delicious. The Tea Room was an old house decorated simple and quaint. My granddaughter has already asked when we are going back. The owner Rachel was very polite. Loved it. read more

If you enjoy taking tea, make sure you stop at the Tea Trolley if you are in southern York County. They prefer if not require reservations, but it's understandable as everything is made fresh for your visit. During my visit today we had the full afternoon tea for $21.99 which consisted of never ending tea, soup, sandwiches, scones, and desserts. We were stuffed by the time we left and everything was delicious. The server was extremely attentive and friendly, we were allowed to explore the home as we wished and take photographs. The home is historic and is very lovely. I was surprised by the wide assortment of teas on the menu and the seasonal teas offered were fabulous! Soup was heavenly, scones were still warm from the oven and the sandwiches were delectable. The desserts were all finger size and there were four to five different options to snack on. We ended up strolling through Ladew Gardens afterwards which is only a 20 minute ride away. Our visit to the Tea Trolley was the perfect way to start the day off. read more

We had a memorial tea to honor my father at the Tea Trolley and it was the nicest event. We had a lovely room set-up for 30. The staff had set up a table for our pictures, albums and memorabilia. They helped me get everyone seated and allowed time before service for our remembrances. Once we were served, everyone enjoyed the scones, tea sandwiches, sweets and conversation. The room is beautiful and intimate enough for us to continue to share tributes as we enjoyed our tea. It was a lovely reunion and a beautiful way to remember someone we all loved.
