Joseph Dallas and Samantha Scott provided exceptional customer service throughout the entire project. They were incredibly helpful in selecting the best tile combinations and coordinating styles so everything flowed beautifully throughout the condo. Their knowledge, attention to detail, and willingness to help made the entire process much easier. The delivery of the tile and other materials was efficient and right on time, which kept the project moving smoothly. We bought our kitchen back splash from here a few weeks back and the staff was super helpful. We decided to run back and ask a few questions and get the grout and accessories to start our project and the staff was rude, unhelpful, told us we couldn't use unsanded grout on our glass tiles even though we were told it was scratch if we used sanded grout and then told that we should hire someone to do the install because they couldn't answer our questions but a professional could. Tempted to just return all our tile and go elsewhere Since there clearly don't know what they are talking about and had no answers to simple questions about accessories or grout. read more

He walked around the store with me showing me my options of how to tie in my existing cabinet color to my new floor color. My husband and I went to The Tile Shop in W. Hartford to start our search for a tiled kitchen backsplash. An employee approached us about 5 minutes into being in the store and told us he would "come find us" when he was done. That never happened. We wandered around the store and found a few tiles that we liked. I had to interrupt the men gathered around the main desk for help. I asked if a certain tile came in a different shade. The employee said no. He offered no guidance and no suggestions. He made us feel we were wasting his time; very dismissive. We left and went to Tile America where we had a wonderful experience. Don't bother with them. There are many other places who want your business. read more

Easy to work with staff in this store particularly Shawn who walked us through the stone and tile selections and answered many questions. We also appreciated their patience as we mulled over, for many months, what we wanted to actually do with a partial remodel of a bathroom. We ended up keeping the vanity and granite top and replacing everything else. Shawn recommended a great contractor to work with. My husband was treated very badly by a woman sales person. Very rude and not knowledgeable at all. He asked 2 or 3 questions, which she promptly answered no and was wrong on all accounts. When he spoke to a second person, this second salesman was amazing compared to her. Knowledgeable, willing to answer all questions and spent a lot of time helping. We finally ordered and the tile did not show up on the date promised. Needless to say we weren't happy telling our tile guy we needed to wait another week. read more

He must have spent an hour with us helping to turn our general ideas into a wonderful coordinated shower and flooring project in our master bath. Shawn always replied promptly to emails. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. With the first order, I was told that the order would be ready in a week. When I went to pick the order up, the sales associate said that the order was not ready. I told her that I would have cancel the order. She went in the back and the order was actually there. With the second order, some of the tile was in stock, some had to be ordered. When I went to pick up the order, the tile in stock had been sold and was backordered. I picked up part of the order. The sales associate said she would call me the next day after they checked other stores for the back ordered tile. I did not receive a call. I had to return the partial order and obtain different tile. The sales associate said that I would be provided a credit but that she was unable to do so at that time. Unfortunately she only provided a credit for the tile that I returned. I wrote her about the remaining credit and received no response. I called the store manager who asked that I call the next day when both he and the sales associate were in the store. I was unable to call the next day so I stopped at the store to talk to the sales associate who said she was was unable process the remaining credit for "system" reasons and that she "had a call into corporate". I again called the sale manager who again asked that I call when both he and the sales associate are in the store. After a delayed job and having to procure tile elsewhere, I am supposed to make repeated efforts to get my money back. Really unbelievable. Caveat emptor.... read more

First of all I was very impressed with their selection and the many sample displays. Unfortunately that is where the kudos fir this store end. I set up an appointment and was asked to send him pictures of my kitchen and kitchen I like. I was told by the salesman that I had the appointment with that he would pull ideas based on these pictures. It was clear when I arrived that he had not even looked at what I had sent him. The tiles I picked out were chosen by me- not suggested by him, and I was really looking for an expert to give me ideas. The next day I placed a small order and emailed him on the day he said they would arrive and never heard from him. Called the next day and my order was in. I told the other salesperson that my husband would pick it up around 430 and then he told me that the warehouse closes at 430- and then rather rudely that he would put them up front- and clearly was not happy to do so. I have to order the rest of my tile but will not be going back to do so- will order somewhere else read more

After researching tile shops I settled on the tile shop. Even though it was an hour away the site and selection looked amazing. On 12/29/2019 I found a beautiful tile. I was extremely happy about the quality and price. That is where it ends unfortunately. The sales associate told me that my order would be there on Wednesday. This was new years day and I didn't want to travel. I told him I would pick up the tile on Saturday. He said this would be fine. I show up on Saturday and only 22 of my 72 tiles had made it. No one called me to tell to inform me of this. I would have skipped the two hour trip and waited to go until all my tile was ready for pick up. I explained this to the sales associate who helped me. I gave him the name of the sales associate who I had originally worked with and he said he would speak to him. Fast forward 2 weeks and still no call about my order. I called and spoke with both of the sales associates whom I worked with and they couldn't tell me where my tiles were. I then spoke with the Manager. He seemed genuinely concerned and told me he would look into this and get back to me. Four days later and still no call, so I call the customer service. They tell me they see my tiles are there. I call the store and speak with the manager. Not only does he not apologize for not calling me back but tells me he doesn't know where my tile is. He states they just had trucks come in and it is too early in the process to know. That I should call back. First of all, too early in the process would have been the day after I placed my order on 12/30/2019. Second why am I having to track down my tile. I am spending over 2,000.00. I did not have to go 2 hours out of my way. I had other options. Unacceptable. Worst customer service ever!!!!! read more
