It's been a tradition to get a tattoo on my birthday the last couple of years since my 16th birthday. The parlor we typically go to in Erie, PA couldn't fit us in at a reasonable time this year, despite calling ahead of time. I was worried this tradition would break. But thanks to The Titled Rose, the memories live on. I emailed Joe from his Facebook about 2.5 weeks before my birthday. I told him my situation and he worked right away to fit us in with his coworker Zach. Zach promptly got in contact with us and worked out the whole appointment. The Parlor itself is meticulously clean and carries a hip vibe overall. There was a small waiting area with portfolios of the artist's work, along with a small candy dish ;) Zach drew out our tattoo and verified it with us and we were ready to go. I went first, my Mother going second. My body tends to go in a short phase of shock anytime I get a tattoo, and this happened once again. When this happens I feel nauseous, get sweaty, and feel as if I will pass out. This happened halfway through my tattoo and right away Zach ran to get me water and candy to boost my blood sugar. The rest of the process went well. Zach was very easy to talk to and had a fun personality. Joe would chime in every now and then and the whole environment was so comfortable. I had my first tattoo in over two decades done here. I just stumbled across the shop when it was first opening, and decided to check out their Instagram page. Joe's style is beautiful and exactly what I wanted for a tattoo I had been mulling over for a few years. I made an appointment and gave Joe a general idea of what I wanted, and where I wanted it, and let him run with it. He came up with an absolutely beautiful design that represented perfectly what I wanted. The studio is very clean, peaceful and welcoming. It has a very upscale, zen atmosphere that made me feel comfortable immediately. Joe is also welcoming and has a very calm presence which made the whole process easy and stress free. The whole experience was fantastic, the work was very reasonably priced, and I will definitely go to Joe again for more tattooing. Highly recommended. read more

Zach Grimm did our tattoo! The location is great and very clean and comfortable. They got us right in within a week of getting in contact with them, as my sister is moving away in two weeks! Zach was professional and talented and we had a great time while there! So glad we chose Tilted Rose -would highly recommend, they have a lot of great pictures of their work so you can get an idea and see their work! It was my sister's first tattoo and she was glad we went to Zach. Joe Folmar did my first two tattoos and a place he used to work at before he opened up this shop. I messaged him last minute yesterday to see if he could take a walk-in appointment.
