Again, a great experience at The Tire Warehouse! In June of 2023 I brought my car into the Dealership for an oil change. At that time I was told my car won't pass inspection in December because it needed tires and brakes at a cost of $2,000+. When December arrived I looked for someplace else to inspect my car. I pick3d the Tire Warehouse despite its low star ratings. My car passed inspection in December 2023, and I was told my tires are ok, but they might need replacement. Since then I've been using the Tire Warehouse for my car & my wife's cars maintenance. This December 2024 I knew my tires were not good and had them replaced along with an alignment and oil change. Great speedy service and cost sensitive service, KUDO's to the staff at The Tire Warehouse in halfmoon. The only time I will go to a dealership is to buy a new car, or if there's a factory recall! I took my vechile in for a oil change and tire rotation. I received a call from Joe that my vechile was damaged but driveable and that I could take my vechile to my preferred shop or use the owners friends shop and they would cover all the repairs. We decided to take it to Chevy and asked to have a claim number so that we were guaranteed the repairs. Their insurance company is not responsive and is giving us a hard time about chevys price. I called Joe back today and his response was that's what you get for going through our insurance and hung up on me. I have been going to this shop for over 8 years and am absolutely blown away that a $100 oil change has lead to almost $6,000 in damages to my vechile and this is how I'm treated for their incompetence. read more

Extremely disappointed this time. Usually reliable? Brought (4) new all-season tires, (4) new steel rims and (4) new Autel TPMS sensors and wanted the sensors cloned with current sensors on winter tires of the car, along with mounting of new tires, rims and installed on car. Keep winter tires. After calling me to say they couldn't "guarantee" the sensors I brought them would clone, he convinced me to just buy (4) sensors from them that he knew would work, for 4X the price that I paid. Upon picking up the car and winter tires to bring home, I realized they took the needle valves out of all (4) winter tires and they were all flat! I called to see why they did that and no one had an answer, other than to say bring back to them the following day and they'd fix it. Brought all (4) winter tires to them next day and had to leave off and pick back up later that day. So two extra trips back and forth over there and they wouldn't take anything off the original bill, even though they screwed up and had no answers. Today was a crappy day. Hottest day of the year so far, and I have a tire blow out while on my way to Saratoga Springs. Fortunately, at some point in the past few years, I learned the manly art of changing a tire. Dripping wet, sticky with sweat, filthy, hot, smelly, and tired, I limp into The Tire Warehouse on a spare donut. Desperate for a tire, and late for a meeting, I was resigned to pay a stupid amount of money to get back on the road. Granted, I got lucky. It was such a hot day, I was told that the place was less busy than it typically would be on a Monday afternoon. So they were able to get me back on the road in an hour. The whole thing cost me less than $100. And the bathroom even had pumice soap to get the tire grime off my hands from changing the tire. The only thing that could have been better is if they had showers and somehow could have lent me a change of clothes. But that's not realistic, is it. I guess a massage might have been nice too. But they did have a water cooler full of cold water that helped rehydrate me, so I was ready for my meeting. In all seriousness, if you are in a bind, I would not hesitate to trust this shop. read more

I made an appointment at Tire Warehouse in Halfmoon for 4 tires and an alignment because they had a good price. Not worth it, as it turns out. When I arrived, neither of the two men working the customer service desk were wearing a mask and there were at least 8 people in the waiting room- all with no masks. Staff from the garage circulating through the waiting area were neither maintaining social distance nor wearing a mask. When I asked about the lack of Covid 19 protective measures, the counter rep offered that they "could wipe down my car with Lysol afterward" and assured me that "you can keep your mask on if you want to". Big of him... he picked up a phone call and I left. Anyone who cares about their health and those of their loved ones should go elsewhere! read more

Brian and Joe are fantastic, almost no body beats their prices and THEY usually have the tires IN STOCK. Remember that when you are out comparing prices at Walmart or wherever. It is best to make an appointment with some of the I services but the one time I did have an issue with a full set of tire ( manufacturer defect) they replaced all 4 tires for no charge. Other places do NOT do that. I am a customer for life. read more

This place is horrible. Would not recommend to anybody. I had 4 new tires installed and they didn't balance them correctly. Had to go somewhere else for them to finish the job. Not to mention nobody there can be trusted. Would not recommend leaving your car there over night or for a few days, you can't trust that they'll do the job right, or leave it in the lot in case you can only pick it up outside of oepn hours. They did brakes on a 70k diesel truck, improperly assembled it which led to 12k in damage done to truck. Joe approved the Chevy dealer to fix it then once truck was done refused to pay for repair bill. I now have 15,000 dollars into a brake job because these losers don't know how to assemble brakes on the most common truck in America ..The scumbag owner refused to return my calls and then has me given their shitty lawyers number.well my attorney will be filing a 70k lawsuit for damages and I will be making sure New York State pulls license If I am not fully refunded within next 7 days you will be seeing this on a billboard read more

I gave them excellent feedback after the service and was abt to give them 5 stars but then this happened. Went there for all 4 tire change and break pads/rotors change. Liked their service until 2 weeks after the service, when I was driving to Ohio and narrowly escaped an accident due to break malfunction. My car was towed to nearby garage. When they took off all the tires, they showed me that Tire Warehouse had forgotten to put back 2 of the bolts that holds caliper together and some of them were really loose. The garage guys told me someone will do such kind of job only if they want to kill me. I am Thankful me and my family is alive. Need to talk to them and figure it out. read more

Once again I feel I must try to overcome the prejudicial disadvantage auto repair places suffer on review sites. It's indisputably true, they are at a disadvantage. No one looks forward to their visit to the auto repair shop and then shares how "special" it was with their friends on social media afterward, as they do with restaurants, stores, and entertainment/recreation venues. If you are going to a car mechanic, things are bad to begin with, and people are going to be feeling negatively. This isn't fair to these establishments and people should stop and think before they vent ragefully in review forums (preventive maintenance can avoid those kinds of worst-case experiences). I went to the Tire Warehouse because I had a slow leak in a tire. I hoped it just needed to be patched, and it did. I came in late in the afternoon and had I needed replacements, I would have needed to come back. They counter people were up front about that, and fortunately, that was not necessary. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and professional. I was there less than an hour and my cost was less than $22. The lounge area was also nice, something that isn't always true with budget auto repair places (See Trev's Automotive). I am suspect of the spate of 1-ratings for this place. Don't be put off by them, check it out for yourself next time you need tires. read more

I never used the tire warehouse before, but I needed new tires and they had a good sale going on so I gave them a try and made an appointment for 4 new sneaks and an oil change. I dropped my vehicle off before they opened and went to work. Nobody from the garage called me all day. When I got out of work the garage was only going to be open for about another hour so I called them. They guy said he didn't have [my make and model] on his lot and asked me if I had called the right garage..then I was put on hold for 10 minutes before someone finally picked back up and said he'd found my vehicle in the side lot and it was done. Shortly after my appointment I noticed that I was leaking oil (my vehicle is brand new and shouldn't be leaking oil..) so I took it to a different garage and discovered that the tire warehouse never put the gasket back on the drain plug. I don't care if the tire warehouse is giving away 4 top of the line tires with free installation...I will NEVER take another vehicle to this place. read more

Bring your wallet! They are one of those nightmare places that tell you that you need all these things repaired that just wasn't true. They told me I needed brakes and rotors so I had them do them except 3 weeks later I stopped into another garage for something else and he said btw, your going to be needing brakes soon. Went in today , they had simple instructions on how to or what to replace , I wanted two rims to mount and balance tires from my trunk and they obviously didn't understand that then the young man got into my car and didn't know how to release the E brake so he figured just letting go of the clutch and hitting the gas would work...... all tired mounted balanced and installed, all black rims have been scratched to hell. The manager Joe krause is about as polite as well you know , he totally put it off and said I did it .... I drive my car to car shows and back .... worste place around. I have been a customer of this particular Tire Warehouse for well over 20 years, probably closer to 25. I am a cheap, fussy, entitled old man :) and more than willing to give a negative review if deserved. That said, the fact that I keep coming back for service here should tell you something. I have always received fair pricing and service that did not need to be re-done. What got fixed, stayed fixed. Well, you might say, that is what they SHOULD be doing so what is the big deal? The big deal for me is that along with competent techs they provide courteous professional counter people that actually LISTEN to you as you tell them what is wrong with your car. When, as can happen, my explanation of the problem is not clear to the person behind the counter, they ask intelligent, on point questions to be sure that they understand what needs to be fixed. Even better, when I am told what is wrong with the car, it makes sense to me. I have never experienced the all too common (at other chain repair and oil change shops) attempt to sell parts that are obviously not related to the problem. When I go in with a problem I usually have a fair idea of what I do and do not need, and have never felt that I am being fed a line of crap about the parts needed. As far as personal courtesy of the staff, there is always an undercurrent of "gee Mister we are really glad you came in today and hope you do it again". I am never treated like a dummy, the pleases and thank yous are sincere, and overall, while I hate to spend money on repairs, I am made to feel glad that I decided to spend it at Tire Warehouse. Got a flat tire, bought a new tire from Tire Warehouse. Brought my old tire in so they could mount the new tire on the rim. Even after they were advised to be careful with the rim as it was in perfect condition they scratched it in 3 places. I have tried to contact them , they will not get back to me! Tightened my lugnuts to the point where it destroyed my rims and warped my brake rotors. I snapped a 1/2 inch breaker bar trying to loosen them. I don't have a torque wrench that goes above 300ft lbs so they were at or above that (the torque spec for that car is 100ft lbs). It took an impact driver on it's highest setting and the regulator on my air compressor turned all the way up to loosen them up. Mind you this was the same day they put new tires on so its not like anything had a chance to get rusty. What a complete mess. This is a classic car it's not like i can even buy replacement rims the company that made them has been out of business for at least 20 years. This is a headache i didn't need. read more

What I didn't appreciate was the $700 repair that followed after they failed to put all the lug nuts on my tire and I had to have most parts in the offending wheels replaced. Loyal customer who used this location for many years. Recently ordered a tire to replace one they plugged twice due to a nail. They called multiple times to inform me the tire was there. They don't take appointments, the hours are limited. I basically work when they are open. Mind you there's still a pandemic. I couldn't make it recently. When I called to verify the tire was till in stock, They asked me to prepay, not a problem, that part was easy. What they wanted to do was list all the times they called me & left a message when I was working to tell me that's why I needed to prepay. Basically, he was telling me I did something wrong when I was just trying to replace a tire & maybe replace them all. Guess they're perfect! Have some understanding & don't tell your customers their wrong when you don't take appointments or don't offer options. read more

Went there for a pair of tires and received good service at a comparable price. Went back for a minor problem and got the same. The third time was the hook. I had uneven tire wear. I was shown a torn boot on the steering rack and was told I needed a new rack and pinion (around a $900+ job) plus a new set of tires. Took my car to a well established and reputable repair shop and was informed that my camber was so out of alignment it was causing the uneven wear, that my rack and pinion were fine and that with the camber fixed I didn't need new tires. I've dealt with this Tire Warehouse on only a few occasions, but based on these experiences I can say that they're a pretty good business and probably the only place in the area that I'd be willing to trust for tires (with the exception of the dealer I do business with, Keeler). Any time I've been here, they've been really busy but they've managed it effectively and completed work on time (and within a reasonable timeframe). The one thing that makes me really like them is the fact that I was looking for a particular tire one time. They initially told me that they had the tire in stock, but it turns out that they made a mistake and it wasn't at this location. Instead of BSing me or trying to talk me into buying something else, they had the tires brought over from one of their other locations and got the job done same day. read more

Terrible place to Rent a U-Haul! I scheduled my U-Haul rental 2 months in advance. I was contacted the night before my move and advised that instead of being able to pick up the U-Haul that evening as scheduled, they would not have a truck available until 9am the next morning. Upon arrival the next morning, they did NOT have the truck I had requested. I was given the smallest U-Haul truck instead of a 2+ bedroom vehicle. Because of this, we had to make two trips and since it took longer than planned on, we lost help as people had other engagements. STAY AWAY! I can't say it any more strongly. I received an email quote on a set of 4 Michelin tires. I then called the store, was told the tires were in stock and set up an appointment for 7:30 the next morning. They told me they would take less than an hour. I come at 7:30 the next day and they have my appointment but do not have the tires in stock. I am given a price of $10 per tire more than the email quote. Whe I show them the email they state " I think we can probably still do that." Still? The email was from yesterday. I'm then informed that they can probably get the tires delivered by 10:00 and definitely no later than noon. I'm told worst case the car will be ready by 2:00. So I have my wife come get me and bring me home. Tire Warehouse calls me at 1:37 to tell me the tires were not put on the truck but they would be delivered by 3:00. They instructed me to stop by between 5:30 and 6:00 and the car would be ready; they close at 6. My wife and I arrive at 5:30 and the car has not been worked on. There were no customers in the shop and no cars in the parking lot. The whole crew was in the shop just shooting the breeze. When we finally got somebody's attention the response was "Shawn was supposed to call you." I replied that he did call and informed me that the car would be ready by 5:30. They stated that they could have the tires on in 25 minutes. I said no thank you and asked for my keys. I was told they were in the car. I went to the car and no keys. Had to go back in the shop where they were hanging on a key rack behind the counter. I was never given an apology or any kind of acknowledgement that they screwed up. Poor customer service and gross incompetence by employees that don't really seem to care. An absolutely horrible customer experience that wasted my time and my gas. Recently went to TW for 4 tires. Front end service was so so, felt like they had better things to do. Prior to finishing they tried to drum up more work that wasn't needed, sorry not today. Paid and on my way I went. Half way home low tire light pops on, pull into mini Mart for air, not 1 tire had proper air or even the same air pressure. Guess TW was too busy to put air in. I don't understand the negative reviews. I don't begrudge anyone giving a negative review if truly deserved, and I have done the same, being particular about service and price. I am a repeat customer, and was there recently for a complete change of badly worn tires on my Acura sedan, and a realignment. I was treated promptly and courteously by the staff which included Bill. The price for comparable tires was significantly lower than my dealer offered. I will be a regular customer of theirs for all my tire, et. al., needs. read more

I have been taking my car there for many years and have noticed a downhill slide. The last two years, it has gotten especially bad. I took my car in for FRONT brake pads and asked them to check the FRONT rotors and all the tires to see if anything needed replacing. First they couldn't find me in the computer when I have been going there for years. Then another guy comes back and tries to sell me power steering, air filters, etc. He said my rotors needed replacing. I asked if they could grind them or flip them and he just made a face and wouldn't directly give me a yes or no, just that it wasn't recommended. He also wanted to charge me to do something with the back brakes and I said no. He argued with me saying it would cause problems. I've owned many Hondas that have twice as many miles on them as this one does and have never had back break issues. Anyway, I repeatedly stated that I wanted the FRONT brakes pads (ceramic) and rotors (if needed) and a free tire rotation (since I purchased my tires from them). The prices quoted were like $99 each for the rotors and $130 for the pads installed. The total quote was like $366, which I said fine. I sat there for over 2 hours while people that came in well after me came and went. They were crowded. When the bill comes and they tried to charge me $450... I questioned it and the clerk, who was surly from the get-go became downright patronizing and said "well that quote was before tax". At point, I started getting really ticked off both by his attitude and the fact that I knew I was being ripped off. Tax is 7%. There's NO way that comes to $450. All this was done by without EVER allowing me to see the actual reciept with itemized charges. At that point, I demanded to see the breakdown of charges and he told me the "Extra" was for cleaning and "adjusting" the BACK brakes! I NEVER said I wanted that. He was the one that kept talking about adjustments every time I repeatedly asked "I'm getting front rotors and ceramic pads and a tire rotation right?" and I didn't understand why he kept saying something about "adjustments". The clerk then tried to bully me and say "Oh you wanted to drive around with it like that?" Trying to pressure me into accepting the extra charges for things I did not agree to. I got mad at that point and the manager came over and comped the extra charge for the rear brake "adjustment and cleaning" that I never agreed to have. The clerk I was dealing with became rude at that point and then tried to charge me $435 instead of $450. I again questioned this because he admitted that his quote to me (before tax) was $340'ish. I told him that tax is only going to be like $30 so I have no idea how you are getting $435. $340 +30 is like $370.... So then he snapped at me and told me he was figuring it out right now and made some snide remark about how I got a free cleaning and adjustment. I told him that I used to trust them not to rip me off, but I don't have any trust left after this. He then scolded me and told me not to talk that way because they don't do that there... REALLY? They just tried to rip me off for about $100...There was never any apology or even apologetic attitude for any of this. The clerk just got ruder and ruder. To top it off when I walked out to my car, I saw that they had been messing around in my glove box and had papers that had fallen out. Not really sure why having brakes done would require them to be going through my glove box. I had checkbooks in there so if my bank account starts showing checks I didn't write, I'll know who to refer the cops too. After I drove the car home, I came in the house and washed my hands and the water ran black so apparently someone with black stuff on their hands test drove the car after the work and got my steering wheel filthy. Please stay away. If you have to pay even $20 more somewhere else it will be so worth it. Their budget tires will make your car shake. Other tires are the same price as anywhere else. Mechanics seriously incompetent, can't even reattach a wheel cover properly. I lost 2 that came off somewhere. They replaced one and refusing to replace the other. Simply dishonest....picked up my truck after being told the rotation and oil change was completed. Paid the invoice, got home noticed non of the work was done. Went back showed the manager that the oil filter was the one from 3 months prior, (dated) and the wheels were not rotated, (the dusty wheel covers were never removed). After a huddle in the service area with several workers, the manger came out and said he was sorry, I asked how a technician could sign off on work that was not done. He could not answer that, but said he would not charge me for the work that was not done. This cost them a fair amount of business from several of us. read more

I was stranded in Albany with a blown tire in a weird size. I tried every tire dealer in the area and these guys were the only ones who were willing to make an extra effort to help. They went out of their way to get the tire to me. It was the definition of great customer service. read more
