Our server, Mary, was amazing - she was training a new server, Amy, and they were both great! I overheard Mary explaining some "first-time customer protocol" to Amy, which happened to be to our benefit because they brought us a cinnamon churro donut to try! Such a sweet touch and a fun way to make first-time customers feel welcome. As we ordered, Mary offered suggestions and was helpful without ever being pushy. Both Mary and Amy were attentive and friendly, and the service was excellent. My husband ordered the Club Sandwich, my daughter ordered the Belgian Fruit Waffle, and I ordered the West Coast Arnold. Our ratings: Husband: 8/10 Daughter: 9.5/10 Me: 10/10 And please know that my husband is a HARSH critic, so an 8 from him is basically a 10. And that churro donut they so sweetly let us try? We were first time visitors to Florida and this was the first restaurant we went to for breakfast. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and led to a table. Melissa, our server, was super friendly and very welcoming. She recommended some of her faves which was great. We each had a Mocha Coffee (one hot and one cold). Both were delicious! Between the two of us, we ordered a hot honey chicken and biscuit sandwich with a side of hash brown casserole and the cowboy scramble with a side of grits. Our food was excellent. One of the managers, Steve, introduced himself to us and said he heard it was our first time there and welcomed us and thanked us. Lovely place! From the greetings at the door throughout my meal, the staff were incredible. You can tell a well run place when everyone works together & the manager is on the floor, assisting so nothing is missed. My food was cooked perfectly & I am picky about my eggs. If I could give zero stars to this place, I would. I have been to this restaurant twice. The first time I went my friend and I waited for over 30 minutes to even get a drink. We had to flag down a server and let them know that nobody even bothered to come over and help us. The second time I gave it a try, which was last weekend. The hostess opened the door for us and told us she was waiting on a table, we could have a seat. My elderly mother and I sat down shortly after that people kept coming through the door for other parties were seated in front of us one behind the other immediately. I finally stood up and asked the hostess what was going on and oh, even though we were sitting there and she was staring at us the whole time she forgot about us. I looked at my mother and said let's go somewhere else to eat where we can actually get waited on. I contacted the restaurant via email that was a week ago. I still haven't heard anything back. No apology didn't even acknowledge the fact that they received my email. This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I would not recommend going here to anyone. read more

My husband and I were recently in town for a long weekend and stopped by the Toasted Yolk for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were seated immediately and get a very spacious booth for the two of us. Their menu is quite expansive and has some unique items - like their unique benedicts! I opted for the brisket tacos which were good - but quite rich, so I could only finish one. The hashbrown casserole was fantastic - it felt like it was freshly made in a midwestern kitchen. Our visit to this The Toasted Yolk was certainly a good one. We arrived to smiles and for the entire visit loved our interactions with the staff. Service was attentive and fun. This was my first visit to this location but I have eaten at the Sarasota location where I had a delicious pastrami Reuben sandwich. Trying something different I went with their Yolk Burger, a half pounder with the usual toppings. I included cheese for an upcharge. Our food arrived in under 15 minutes. This was a tall burger as I tried to hold it together with limited success. Messy burgers are almost always good burgers. For my side I opted for a container of fruit, cool and refreshing. I do miss fries, trying to eat a little healthier. The Toasted Yolk has this incredible neon light sign on the back wall that says "It's never too early to get toasted". But it wasn't until we chatted with a manager at the end of our meal that I understood what that meant. I had asked why a breakfast/lunch place had a bar, well, to get toasted - lol. If you are looking for a Mimosa to start your day or a Bloody Mary to help recover from the previous one, The Toasted Yolk to the rescue. When it finally arrived, my son's bacon was almost raw, after he ordered it crispy. My grits were lumpy with a big glob of flour. Exchanged for hash browns which were good. The eggs were ordered over medium, they came to us almost hard boiled. I had to ask the server to remove the raw bacon from my son's plate. I can't believe they would serve that to a customer. It was a couple days after Hurricane Milton. After waiting over a hour to get glass I was glad to find a nice place open for brunch. The menu had a lot of delicious options to choose from. I went with the East Coast Arnold and the Hash Brown casserole. It is an adorable, colorful inviting atmosphere. The servers and management all worked together as a team. Great food and service, just some confusion on fees I recently ordered the Yolk Deluxe Breakfast from The Toasted Yolk Café in Bradenton for a group of 15 people staying at a rental home, and overall the experience was very positive. Evelyn was incredibly helpful from start to finish. She reached out via text to ask thoughtful questions, including whether we preferred individual meals or buffet-style service, and she made great recommendations--suggesting we do half bacon and half sausage. I'm glad we listened because the sausage was absolutely better than the bacon, though everything was still very good. The food arrived hot, fresh, and top-notch, which is no small feat when serving that many people. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the quality definitely met expectations. The only downside was some confusion around the 18% gratuity added to the takeout delivery order, which came to about $40. It wasn't clear whether that gratuity went to the driver or the restaurant, so we ended up tipping extra just in case--which made the total cost higher than anticipated. I do wish that had been explained more clearly upfront. That said, Evelyn did kindly waive the delivery fee, which we truly appreciated. Overall, great food and excellent customer service. We went on a Sunday for brunch around 10am. Pretty busy crowd, but there is a lot of space in their restaurant. It's an open style with lots of tables and it's kind of loud. It was fine because we have 3 loud kids.....Food was fantastic. I got the brisket breakfast tacos. Not only super filling but extremely tasty. Kids all got French toast and ate every bite.
