Two of us stopped in here as out of towners on our way to a boating activity. We were seated right away but it took quite a while to be greeted by our server. Other tables were seated after us and we saw their servers greet them and bring waters immediately. I ordered a sandwich with no tomatoes. I have a few food allergies so I'm used to double checking my food. The plate comes out and it looks fine. No tomatoes. Opened the sandwich and it was clear that tomatoes had originally been put in the sandwich and then taken out before coming to the table. There were tomato pieces/seeds left on the meat of the sandwich. I did not eat the sandwich after seeing that. I told both the server and the host as we left the restaurant. We paid full price and were given a quick "I'm sorry." I wasn't looking for a refund or for the sandwich to be remade. I didn't trust the kitchen at that point. Just a heads up to anyone who dines here with ingredient restrictions. Slow service and careless mistakes. read more

I wish I could give this more than five stars. I have tried the cinnamon rolls from The Breakfast Company the last two years at Yelp events, and my mouth literally waters every time I think about them. I finally made it my mission to drive there from Tampa, and it was absolutely incredible. The cinnamon rolls are baked fresh and served warm, and they even offer a flight of different flavors, which is such a fun idea. The food overall was outstanding, reasonably priced, and the portions are large. You definitely will not leave hungry. The wait to get a table took forever, but it was a Sunday morning so I cannot blame them at all. The restaurant itself is small but it's so cute and classic breakfast joint vibes. It honestly makes sense because everyone wants to eat there. Our server was so sweet, and the entire experience was everything I hoped for and more. I will absolutely be coming back. I had such a yummy breakfast here! I tried the signature benedict duo, where you can select your choice of two specialty eggs benedicts from the menu. This was my first time trying eggs benedict and I really enjoyed it. I ended up getting the frisco and tuscan short rib. The frisco came with bacon, avocado, cheddar cheese, and tomato and the tuscan came with braised short rib, spinach, tomato, parm, and balsamic glaze. I love that they served the avocado fresh on the side. My meal came with a choice of a side, so I got the crispy breakfast potatoes (sooo good!). My sister ordered the pancakes with a side of bacon and potatoes, she also really liked her breakfast. We sat at the bar which was the perfect choice, since we avoided a 45 min wait (we came on a holiday weekend, so it was extra busy). The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is so cozy. Let's talk about the food I ordered steak and eggs this was just ok I ask for pink center however a lot of pieces were well done . The eggs and grits were delicious. Also the potatos were delicious. My husband ordered the short rib grilled cheese and he stated that it tasted good however it needed a cream-based condiment on the sandwich cuz he said it was dry. And he also tried one of the juices but he stated that it really tastes like it did not have any ginger in it and did not taste like fresh squeeze. Really enjoyed my sweet cream chai latte and my partner liked his caramel crunch macchiato. The taste I had was delicious. My suggestion for the place is not to text people on the waitlist that their table is ready if it is not. Recently found this place on a day trip to sarasota and honestly, I'm mad I just discovered this place. The cinnamon rolls are TOO good and the various baked goods are literally to die for. Oh... and don't get me started on the lattes... The cinnamon roll latte (iced) is SOOOOO good and comes with a little piece of cinnamon roll which is the icing on the cake (literally). Recently tried the actual breakfast and it was just as good as the desserts. The staff is super friendly as well. This is honestly my favorite breakfast place. We don't even go anywhere else anymore. The staff is always kind and friendly, the menus are always clean, the portions are healthy and everything is always very fresh. I can never get away without a treat from the bakery. Stopped in here for brunch with a couple of friends. The place was absolutely buzzing with people and a wait of about 25 minutes to get a table (Sunday midday). Service was quick and very friendly once we were seated, attentive with lots of coffee refills. We were all fairly impressed with our dishes - steaks and eggs, bacon and pancakes, burritos. We've been eating here for the past year and the food and service is always spot on. We have come a few times with our HOG motorcycle chapter and they are always very accommodating for our large group. We have worked with the assistant manager, Shannen, when coming with the group. She has made sure that we arrive to no waiting to be seated, water on the tables, right away coffee, and excellent service. I like to try different menu items or from the seasonal menu. One ordered a blueberry muffin that was perfect. They even grilled it with butter on their griddle per request , amazing flavor of the blueberries. It taste like they just picked the blueberries and made the muffin and served it. Yummo! This family owned business knows what they're doing. Customer service was excellent server was extremely knowledgeable. The place was packed. felt extremely welcomed taken care of and left with a full belly and completely satisfied. Recently, I had a St. Patrick's Day meal, a breakfast that included corned beef hash. I've experienced corned beef hash at places known for their Irish fare and even they couldn't come close to the flavor I tasted with the corned beef hash served at The Breakfast Company. I do wish it was offered on the regular menu but for now it's only a holiday dish. By the way, the portions and flavors for the other dishes served here are amazing, especially breakfast dishes.
