Two of us stopped in here as out of towners on our way to a boating activity. We were seated right away but it took quite a while to be greeted by our server. Other tables were seated after us and we saw their servers greet them and bring waters immediately. I ordered a sandwich with no tomatoes. I have a few food allergies so I'm used to double checking my food. The plate comes out and it looks fine. No tomatoes. Opened the sandwich and it was clear that tomatoes had originally been put in the sandwich and then taken out before coming to the table. There were tomato pieces/seeds left on the meat of the sandwich. I did not eat the sandwich after seeing that. I told both the server and the host as we left the restaurant. We paid full price and were given a quick "I'm sorry." I wasn't looking for a refund or for the sandwich to be remade. I didn't trust the kitchen at that point. I wish I could give this more than five stars. I have tried the cinnamon rolls from The Breakfast Company the last two years at Yelp events, and my mouth literally waters every time I think about them. I finally made it my mission to drive there from Tampa, and it was absolutely incredible. The cinnamon rolls are baked fresh and served warm, and they even offer a flight of different flavors, which is such a fun idea. The food overall was outstanding, reasonably priced, and the portions are large. You definitely will not leave hungry. The wait to get a table took forever, but it was a Sunday morning so I cannot blame them at all. The restaurant itself is small but it's so cute and classic breakfast joint vibes. It honestly makes sense because everyone wants to eat there. Our server was so sweet, and the entire experience was everything I hoped for and more. I will absolutely be coming back. I had such a yummy breakfast here! I tried the signature benedict duo, where you can select your choice of two specialty eggs benedicts from the menu. This was my first time trying eggs benedict and I really enjoyed it. I ended up getting the frisco and tuscan short rib. The frisco came with bacon, avocado, cheddar cheese, and tomato and the tuscan came with braised short rib, spinach, tomato, parm, and balsamic glaze. I love that they served the avocado fresh on the side. My meal came with a choice of a side, so I got the crispy breakfast potatoes (sooo good!). My sister ordered the pancakes with a side of bacon and potatoes, she also really liked her breakfast. We sat at the bar which was the perfect choice, since we avoided a 45 min wait (we came on a holiday weekend, so it was extra busy). The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is so cozy. My partner ordered extra crispy but his came out ever so slightly crispy. Brioche French toast was very tasty. My suggestion for the place is not to text people on the waitlist that their table is ready if it is not. Recently found this place on a day trip to sarasota and honestly, I'm mad I just discovered this place. The cinnamon rolls are TOO good and the various baked goods are literally to die for. Shannen (I think this was the correct spelling of her name; I remember it being different) is the reason that this review is 5 Stars! It was very disappointing to see very little vegan options with such a great looking menu. The fact that an egg wash was put on the healthiest bread there is (Sourdough) is ridiculous to me, nevertheless, at least have another option of sourdough that doesn't have the egg wash. The croissant that is vegan was not available on this day. All I wanted was a breakfast sandwich. Thanks to Shannen for helping me out when I was definitely frustrated & quite possibly a little hangry lol. When I said there isn't anything for me to order, she helped me put together a fantastic skillet with all the ingredients that I wanted on my original breakfast sandwich. We have come a few times with our HOG motorcycle chapter and they are always very accommodating for our large group. We have worked with the assistant manager, Shannen, when coming with the group. Delicious! All our breakfasts that we ordered were large portions extremely fresh veggies bursting with tons of flavor on the eggs, omelette, eggs Benedict croissant sandwich, and the home fries. One ordered a coconut coffee latte that was amazing and sugary, flavored of course. Rated the best cinnamon roll that this group ever had and the age range was from 50 to 70. they should market the cinnamon roll to get in all grocery stores, convenience stores, the malls and the airports. One ordered a blueberry muffin that was perfect. They even grilled it with butter on their griddle per request , amazing flavor of the blueberries. It taste like they just picked the blueberries and made the muffin and served it. Yummo! This family owned business knows what they're doing.
