    Fish fries

I love this place. Good food, reasonable price and nice service! We found this place recently. But we already have been few times. My husband and I love fish fries in this place. Always nice service.

Last night's fish fry (perch and shrimp). Tasty but very filling.

Great Milwaukee "neighborhood" place, which I'm so lucky Riverwest abounds in. Sure, I'm also known to frequent newer, sometimes more "hipster-y" bars and restaurants, but part of my heart will always belong to the neighborhood tavern. You can drink beer, you can get a good meal, you can watch a game on TV, you can stumble in to use the ATM during a street festival (or more ordinary nocturnal adventures.) But what really distinguishes a good neighborhood place is the regulars. I like a place where I see the same people a lot, especially if they're of all different ages and social circles. I like a good "everybody" place. If you're craving a good Friday fish fry this is a good place to try. You can get pollock, perch, shrimp, a combination of two, or all three. On my last visit I was hungry but not totally ravenous. I got the shrimp and perch combination and didn't quite manage to finish it. It was one of the better fish fries I've had in recent memory--crispy batter and not too much grease on the seafood, good coleslaw, choice of tots or fries--but it was definitely filling. The menu says it's available on Wednesdays too, which is nice. The rest of the menu is mostly typical "bar food," but it looks pretty solid. I'll have to go back and try a burger. There's one with cheese curds and marinara I'm sure I'll end up trying. It sounds like a total bomb of grease and calories, but there's totally a time and place for that. Also in that vein there's a chili cheese poutine and fries or tots with truffle oil and Parmesan, the latter available with a sandwich for a $3 upcharge. (I should mention I like upcharge items; they appeal to my innate inability to leave well enough alone.) The best part is the food and drinks are also reasonably priced. The all-3 fish fry is about $12. Burgers and sandwiches are mostly $8-$10. Drinks are on par with or slightly cheaper than other places in the neighborhood. There's a good combination of factors to make a person (especially a Riverwesterner) end up here again and again.

Just when I thought I had the kitchen figured out, they keep getting better. Don't get me started on the fish fry.

Its Sooo like cheers. There's even a cheers sign high up on one of the side walls. It is a lil bit up north sports bar in river west but it gets a pleasant mix of college kids, neighborhood regulars of all ages, and the occasional Hipster. Word is the serve a mean fish fry and burger but I only get hungry there after 11 and that's when the kitchen closes. Other pluses: they hav a parking lot, they play a nice mix of 90s rock and current stuff, everyone is pretty friendly and unpretentious. This is definately becoming my 'end up'

Tracks is Riverwest's premier sports bar. Where human potential is realized on a magnificent stage. It's Riverwest's only sports bar, as far as I've noticed. And it may not even technically be a sports bar. Are there such things as train bars? What about train bars with volleyball courts? Tracks is a bar in Riverwest with sports on TVs. That makes it a stand-out. I've noticed that Bosco's on Burleigh also has sports on TVs, but as of this review I've only coasted by it on bike. Looks like there's only 1 review for Bosco's. Perhaps it's time to check it out with some Yelpers? Back to Tracks. I first stepped foot on her sandy volleyball courts 2 years ago with a rag-tag team of old High School buds and new Milwaukee friendlies. I've been to Tracks a ton in my few years in Milwaukee and just about every time was sports-related. Either I used their cable TVs to watch key playoff match-ups whilst drinking a pitcher or two on my own, or I was simply there to drink pitchers and slap balls out of the sky. Their pitchers are $9 for a handful of domestics and $13 for any micro brew or higher end choice. This is great for the weekly volleyball league games. The league has a running competition among teams for who drinks the most pitchers during the season. Yes, you can even come to Tracks on non game nights and score pitcher points. Some of my friends definitely like the food. I rarely order any, but I remember that the Chicken Strips (a.k.a. Fingers) are plump and juicy. It's very neighborhoody and easy-going. The Rabbi tends to stroll through, flowers in hand, every time I'm there. I'm sure it is no coincidence. The bartenders are friendly and make the place feel like a comfortable spot to watch a sport. There is a big parking lot that fills completely on game nights and there's only a bit of bike parking (although more was very recently added). This review may be boring, but blame that on me. Tracks is fun and easy and better enjoyed with a few friends. The men's bathroom has one urinal and one toilet "stall". The stall door leaves little to the imagination as it is sort of a cowboy swingy type door that touches the sitter (shitter) on his knees as he steals a desperate moment. I've certainly witnessed a few fellas' last resorts as the door faces squarely to the urinal user's right shoulder. Little toes poke out under the door. The bulletin board boasts a display of boobs and neighborhood events as a lovely juxtaposition of community togetherness and sweet feminine beauty smashed between two dudes trying to pretend they aren't just inches apart in an ape shit show. Tracks brings people together. It can show us what is real. It uses the stage of sport and unwritten male bathroom code to reveal to you who you've become. Will you live up to the challenge? Also: Free Wi-Fi!

The Wednesday and Friday Fish Fry is pretty darn good, and pretty cheap. Maybe it's just that I'm used to Chicago prices, but 2 pieces of fried perch, two pieces of fried cod, and three fried shrimp, along with fries and cole slaw seems like a pretty good deal to me for less than $10. I wasn't` a huge fan of the perch, but there are large pieces of cod and three jumbo shrimp. You can order the meal without the perch which I think is what I'll do next time, or your can order the meal with only perch if you like the perch. The drink prices here were pretty low too. If you and a friend want a meal and want to get completely hammered for less than $40, this may be a good place to try. They have volleyball courts too, so if you wanna work off some of those beer and/or fried fish calories you can go hit some balls over a net.

The food was excellent the burger range between 6 and $8 and includes either french fries or tater tots what does that great deal we could only eat half of the burger.

Had the best sushi of my life here. The bartender looked like an aging Doogie Howser and they even serve whiskey on Sundays.

I have been playing volleyball here for the last 5 years so I have spent my fair share of time in this establishment.

Saw this place on the walk back to our car and stopped in for a couple drinks and some appetizers. We were very happy we did. We sat at the bar and it was fairly empty at the time, which was a Thursday around 1pm. The bar is so beautiful with all of the copper details. It feels very clean with an upscale look but doesn't feel like it's too fancy to stop in on a regular day. Our bartender was awesome and she was training a new person that day so she was happy when we chose some fun cocktails for the newbie to make. Our favorite was the Beet Marshall. Oh my gosh is this a delicious cocktail! Unique too! Very refreshing, light. And fantastic color! My partner tried the Rhubarb Negroni which was also very good but we both decided Beet Marshall was the winner! We had the fresh pork rinds for an appetizer, came out sizzlin and poppin! Yes!! We also had the Cajun dill curds they were really good, not too heavy with just enough seasoning. I think this place is a great spot to check out anytime! They had tvs at the bar so sports fans could see their favorite games while enjoying a drink and some food. The locals at the bar seemed like they knew everyone and that this was the place to gather.

Nestled among a lively stretch of bars and restaurants, it has a fun atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in for a few hours. I stopped by during March Madness, and despite it being the middle of the day, the place was buzzing with fans watching the tournament. The bartender--who was the only one working at the time--did a phenomenal job keeping up with the crowd. While drinks occasionally took a little longer, she handled the rush with professionalism and a great attitude. One thing that really stood out was the bar itself; it's impressively long, possibly the biggest I've seen in a venue of this size. The food was exactly what you want from a sports bar: satisfying, flavorful, and the perfect complement to an afternoon of college basketball. I'd definitely stop back to watch another game.
