Maybe she was having a bad day, but the waitress seemed cranky, awkward, and very apathetic to us being there. She rushed us out and charged me extra than what I should've paid. Went to the Skybox on a Monday night. I had the lemon pepper wings + fries and margarita. Great "All night" $5.00 Happy Hour specials and music. My friend had the BBQ wings + fries and long island ice tea. We also tried the $10.00 hooka while we waited (blueberry/mint mix). The drinks were pretty sweet, mostly syrup and a long island in a can? I enjoyed my lemon pepper (I don't mind a quite a bit of seasoning as long as it doesn't overpower). Wings were average sized and the fries came out hot and crispy. The energy and vibe was great, two DJ's played the whole time. Lots of tv playing the Dallas football game and the past Warrior game from last year. Good flow of people coming in even after 10:30. People eating, talking, and flirting. The energy was great when there a favorite song people rushed to the dance floor or outside their booths. Although I got the impression this may be a great 30ish place to go, I'd go back again. The recent UFC fight was shown here and of all things it was free no cover or drink minimum. The owner or part owner is also the owner of Gees Clippers here in Milwaukee. It is located on 3rd street one block south of North Ave, next door to Gees Clippers. First glace the location flows an open space from the door to the bar in the rear. There is also a location downstairs with games tv's and seating. There are lots of TV's so the view was not restricted by those who chose to sit or mingle in front of tables. If you have ever been to Gees then you can understand what it might look like. Lots of sports memorabilia and heavy on the Wisconsin sports theme. They offer food but i was there to have a couple of drinks and watch the fight. So sorry i didn't order any food so nothing to review on that note. The drinks i had were standard the price was also average for the drinks. They have a couple of kinks to work out yet and this is to be expected for a business that is just starting off. It seemed to be a place that people like it was getting crowed a little after 10 pm. The prices on the food were average and they offered free popcorn, yo who doesn't love the free? A plus for me is that they offer hookah! Yes hookah my fav! That i believe was priced accordingly as well. The service for the hookah needs to be tweaked as well. I was patient because i understand that they recently opened and im sure that they will get better with time. Finally a sports bar on the north side that offers a relaxed environment, it was more of a grown up crowd. There is parking in a lot as well as the street next to the bar. Expect to be card and patted down at the door. Which i had no issues with, better safe then sorry. The crowd was mixed women and men alike as well as ethnicity. This is important for me when i frequent a establishment. Will i go back? Heck yea! I will try to food and get another hookah because this is what i like. Im not sure how many of you travel to the North Side but if you do and you want to grab a bite or a drink, perhaps a hookah stop here. A nice little sports bar in an area with a dearth of them. Two levels - upstairs is more restaurant like and downstairs features it's own bar, pop-a-shot, tons of room and a little nook with super-comfy chairs and their own TV. Cell service was crap, but they have wi-fi, so at least data was in play. There's a chicken wing pizza with bbq and ranch and cheese that still has the crust to hold up to all of that - delicious. There's also wings in some sort of root beer glaze that were on point. I went for a small even hosted downstairs or I'd have never known this existed. Seems like a perfect location and good food, so I'd head back for sure. read more

We stopped in here on a Sunday while in Milwaukee for a concert. It was soul food Sunday which did not disappoint. It was such a great deal too! They were out of a few items on the Soul Food menu which is completely understandable. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because every persons food came out 10-15 minutes after the previous so none of us got to really eat together. I think that is something that should be explained up front. Other than that, the wings were SO good as was everything else. I like the vibe of this place, music is fire. Food though...I have had the lemon pepper wings here twice and...nahh. They aren't necessarily bad but they put a million pounds of seasoning on there. I literally can't even taste the chicken. All I tasted was salt and lemon pepper, had to wipe off the chicken with a napkin to make it edible. Otherwise, I like this place, it's smooth. read more

The traditional Buffalo wings were exactly how they should be - meaty, tender, spicy and rich. The sauce isn't over thought - it is perfect. I would like the option to get a pile of celery instead of the tasty but less healthy waffle fries - but that might just be me. The food was good and the drinks were strong but the service was TRASH!!! Me and a couple friends went here for happy hour and the fish fry. First of all the waitress(VAL) was slow and rude. The place was nearly empty when we got there yet we were waiting 10-15 minutes for each drink! My friend ordered more food and by the time it was ready , we were 3 drinks in and ready to go. My friend went to the bar to tell Val that we didn't want the food but Val assured her that the food was already done and about to come out. An additional 10 minutes passed before the food was brought to our table! Of course we tried to make the most out of the situation by asking for one of our drinks to be comped which we didn't get. Val overcharged us and then tried to convince us that we ordered more than what we actually ordered. My friend paid with a card and we had prepared to pay a cash tip. Once Val comes to get the receipt, she jokingly says "Y'all want free stuff but left me a zero tip?" Our faces were on the floor. I have never had a waitress so boldly classless.
