In my opinion, the true test of a company is how they stand behind the product after they sell it to you. I purchased a brand new Diamond C dump trailer. I drove down from Sac, and when I came to pick it up, the paperwork was ready, and the trailer was washed and ready to go. Well, there was a significant issue with the finish on the trailer. It started to rust through the powder coat after only three months. I contacted the Trailer Specialist, and they asked me to send them some images, which I did. I worked with Colby in their service dept and then the dealership owner. Both were helpful and understanding of the issue. To make a long story short, The Trailer Specialist ensured I was taken care of and resolved the issue fairly. I came to pick up my trailer from here. I came all the way from Lake Elsinore, CA so it was about a 6 hour drive. My plan was to arrive at 3pm but due to traffic I was going to get there after 5pm, which is the time they close. I contacted the company and notified them I would arrive late and if they can remain open a little longer. The owners agreed to stay open for me. The owners had my paperwork ready for me to just sign. Francisco is one of the helpers that stayed late to help me with setting up my trailer. Overall the experience was great. Bought a flatbed there recently - the bed was very nice but the sales rep seemed completely uninformed and while I was under the impression this bed was ready to bolt on and plug in , it was not , and the dealership didn't offer a harness! When I called the service department, they really knew nothing about the product they are selling and had nothing substantive to offer other than the 866 number for the manufacturer that any idiot could google - when asked why they sell a bed without offering the adapter the sales rep told me " well, then we'd have to stock a bunch of them " .... uh , that's not a very good answer - this is a small, California business I'd love to recommend , but I'd suggest going to a bigger dealer with better trained staff and the technical know-how to make your installation process seamless ! Anyways I was in the market for a 20" trailer after buying a 14" for my UTV. I saw an add on FB marketplace and it cought my eye. I called them the following day and due to covid they are super busy, I spoke with a really nice younger lady who wanted to be sure all my questions got answered by a sales rep and took my name and number. A few hours later I never received a call back for I called and spoke with Matt who was quick to take my payment over the phone and hold me a trailer for the following day to pick up. My pick up was smooth and I was explained everything about the trailer and it's warranty. It's cool this place is an authorized repair facility too. Well, call and ask if they actually have it first. The recently marked down items are magically not present when you show up and ask, but there is another product they'll try and sell you for more money than advertised. Absolutely deplorable sales service; maybe a blessing they didn't have the trailer as advertised- sure seems reflective of the entire outfit. Don't waste your time chasing BS ads. We came in for the prices and glad we called ahead to ensure the trailer online was still in stock. Shondra confirmed the trailer was there, and when I told her we were coming down to pick it up, she had the paperwork ready to go for us. We were in and out in no time and that includes all the DMV paperwork. The staff were friendly and hooked the trailer to my truck and we were gone. Easiest purchase we had in a while. The only drawback to how smooth it was, is that I didn't get a chance to browse their incredible inventory to start planning for the next trailer. I bought a new 5'x8' enclosed trailer from them 3/20/24. The total agreed upon price was $5,200 out the door. I paid for the trailer in full and maybe 1 1/2 hours later was on my way. They installed a temporary license plate on the back of the trailer and taped a temporary registration sticker on the inside of my windshield. The last thing I was told before leaving was that I should allow 6-8 weeks for the registration and permanent license plate to arrive. The trailer was to be register in California. I received an email last night asking me to pay for the registration fees again? I called today and spoke to the women who sent the email - She explained to me that the salesman had made a mistake and forgot to check a box? I was then told I needed to speak to the owner. I was put on hold for 38 minuets, before the call got disconnected with no return call. The last thing I was told on the phone is that they would not register the new trailer. I should have read their Yelp reviews before purchasing the trailer - most of the negative reviews seem to have the phrase "bait and switch". You should be able to find reputable dealer out there??? My salesperson initial's were CC, you defiantly don't want him. read more

Went there today after waiting for 12 weeks for my custom gooseneck to be ready, because it was a special order I totally understand that part of it and it's ok. But after spending 14k on a trailer and then it came time for delivery. The older gentleman helping hook up the trailer and to go over it all was completely rude. I asked him a simple question when he was trying to level the gooseneck to what he's basing it off of to help him level it, maybe he knew something I could learn. His rely "because I just know". I understand it's a hot day and maybe he wanted to rush back into the AC or whatever. If you don't want to be helpful to folks who spend their hard earned money then go do something else with your life. I'll never be shopping here again, and I'll definitely be telling farming community to take their business elsewhere. You'd think after taking 14 grand from someone that you'd appreciate their business because of those folk you're there employed. Shop somewhere else folks. You work hard for your money, go spend it somewhere they'll appreciate that. read more

On a HOT Saturday afternoon, after doing many heavy duty dump jobs in a regular trailer (ugh) we decided that it was time that we needed to get a dump trailer. After searching around the area we came across The Trailer Specialists, I drove out there to take a look at the trailers in person, I was greeted by the Sales Rep and I explained to her what we do for our business including hauling rock and cement from time to time, she pointed me in the direction of the dump trailer that she felt would work perfectly for us. I did my research and found that she was right it would work fine for us. It had a GVWR of 10k with a decent payload of 7,460. But, when my significant other went to pick up on Monday (since it wouldn't be ready until then) she gave him a whole different pitch about how we need one that is 3k more MIND YOU we were already spending over 6k. Ummm, no. If that was the case, why didn't I receive this same information. Seems like she was trying to upsell him for no reason. Odd sales tactic. Or maybe she thought of something after I left, just seems a little shady. Side note: They didn't bring up how important the Brake Control System adapter was to have installed, thankfully in our own research we found this to be a must. Make sure you have them check your vehicle for this, you don't want to try to stop these heavy trailers and find you have no control over the weight. It seriously makes it much safer and much smoother. I'm a 5 Star yelper so I'm super bummed I couldn't give them 5 stars but they just didn't give me that wow factor especially for the amount of money we spent. read more

I had an absolutely wonderful experience dealing with this shop! I was looking to purchase a CM Truck bed flatbed for my 2015 Super Duty. The local shop near where I live had what I was looking for in stock but there install calendar was about a month wait. I contacted Trailer Specialist via an ad I seen on Craigslist. I sent them an inquiry and the next day Eryn emailed me and gave me prices on what was available. Her quote beat my local shop by $250! So I didn't mind traveling about 45 minutes to purchase from here. Once I got Eryn on the phone she went over some details and I was game to buy the bed. This shop doesn't do any installs and she recommended a fabrication shop (Jokers Fabrication) that can install the bed! I was sold immediately! I asked if she can run my credit card over the phone. She put me through to Ciara the accounts person and her I completed the transaction without me even stepping foot in the shop (faxed over a few signatures and it was done deal)! This is for Wyatt and their service department. My pickup had a gooseneck hitch with the ball rusted to the frame. After a lot of WD40 and pounding with a sledgehammer, the thing would not budge, so I called around for some outside help. Most places told me that I would probably need to replace the whole hitch. I happened to have a day off and thought I'd make an appointment, and after trying several places that didn't answer the phone, I got in contact with the Trailer Specialist, and talked to Wyatt. He indicated that they would first try to remove the ball and to come in that afternoon. I had my doubts, but drove the hour to have them look at it. And after about a half hour, their mechanic...so sorry, i didn't get the gentleman's name...with two hydraulic jacks, some Liquid Wrench, and a well placed sledgehammer, he got the thing loose. They COULD have sold me a whole new hitch. I came prepared to pay for that. But they were more interested in saving me some money, about $400 as it turns out, and got the job done. I have purchased two horse trailers from TS and had problems with both. 1. A customized Logan Edge 2h BP ordered at Western States Horse Expo, Sacramento. After several months they informed me it was ready to be picked up...... in Utah at the manufacturers! This was most definitely NOT part of our agreement! They grudgingly had it shipped to Acampo and when I arrived to collect it, I found a large scrape in the outer skin of the ramp. They seemed to expect me to take it anyway and were surprised when I refused.Eventually they agreed to deliver the repaired trailer to my daughter in Davis. When it arrived we discovered an obvious electrical fault (a screw had been put through a wire during assembly). They sent a technician to repair the trailer but clearly they didn't inspect it before we took delivery. 2. Fast forward to my recent purchase, a 2019 Logan Crossfire 2h BP (from the new economy line of trailers). A great trailer for the price but I had the same electrical problem. This time I collected it with the help of a friend and her truck. The running lights did not work and the technician convinced us it was because of a blown fuse in the truck. I should have known better. When I got it home and hitched it to my vehicle, the problem remained and proved once again to be an error on the part of the manufacturer. I had to take the trailer back to get this fixed. In addition my husband discovered that the emergency runaway brake was installed backwards and was not operational. All this could have been avoided if the trailers had been given proper inspections before sale. The owners emailed me to thank me for my purchase. I politely informed them of the problems but have not received a reply. read more

I started my horse trailer purchase by calling Tyler Gibb in the sales dept of The Trailer Specialist in Acampo, CA, which is the only dealer in the northern central California valley that carries the Logan line. He promptly emailed me quotes on 2 trailers I was interested in on a Monday. On that Monday afternoon, I called Tyler and told him I wanted to purchase one of his trailers and he took my $500 deposit over the phone. On the next day, Tuesday, I called him at 10AM and did a phone credit application. He told me it would take 1 to 2 hours to get the credit application completed. He transferred me to his associate who took my application over the phone. She told me it could take 2 to 3 hours to complete, which I was okay with. My wife and I arrived at the dealership around noon, 2 hours after I called in my credit application. Tyler met with us to answer any question and showed us the trailer we were going to buy. He left us to look over the lot and we killed time waiting for someone to let us know where we were in the process. I continued to knock on the office door (since no one was allowed inside due to Covid 19) and spoke to an employee that was handling our financing. I was told on several occasions that she was waiting for the lenders to email her back with financing options. After approximately 2 hours (now 2:00PM), she told me she had received one financing offer and was waiting for another to see if they could provide a better interest rate. During this "waiting game", we saw that she left for her lunch break. Before she came back, I spoke to another employee and wanted to know where we were in this process! I was told that only the employee that left for lunch could check her email to see if another finance offer came in. When the employee returned, I went back up to the office door and, instead of checking her computer (email), I could see her on her cell phone!! I knocked on the door and she came to answer the door. I told her to go with the finance offer she had already received and we were getting short on time. She told me it would be about 15 minutes to get the paperwork ready, which I agreed to. 15 minutes later, while our patients were wearing thin, I contacted her again and she told us 15 more minutes, that she had not received the loan docs from the lender. I told her that if we did not have the purchase completed in 15 minutes, we were going to leave without the trailer. I asked that while we wait, could we at least get the trailer ready to hook up to save time. Tyler Gibb came outside, on my request, and told us it was getting prepped as I asked him some basic tow requirement questions. It is now 3:00PM. An employee that was prepping the trailer for hook up obtained the tow ball mount and ball we needed. He was almost ready to hook up the trailer to our pickup, when Tyler Gibb came out to us. He asked if we were in a hurry? He further stated "I will not make my employees work faster". He stated it would be another 15 minutes to get the paperwork ready. I quipped that the lady in finance told us "it would be 15 minutes, 10 minutes ago". Tyler responded " I told this would take all day!" I told him "no, you told me it would take 1 to 2 hours to get the loan done" and he quickly argued that he told me this would take all day. . My wife made a comment to him that we'd been there over 3 hours and he began to argue with her. Tyler then told us "Go ahead and leave". I told him again that he said it would be only 1 to 2 hours and he again stated that he told me it would take all day, which he never did (why would I drag my wife and her sister to a transaction that was going to take all day!). After we left, my wife called the Trailer Specialist to complain to the "owner". When she asked to speak to the owner, TYLER picked up the phone. My wife was surpirsed and asked him if he was the owner. He answered sheepishly, "no, I'm the owner's son". My wife said, "Oh, so that's why you can treat customer's so rudely?". Tyler responded that he did not treat us rudely and ended the phone call. We left and purchased a horse trailer from D2 Trailer Sales that only took an hour, collectively, to complete the purchase, USING THE SAME FINANCING COMPANY" that "The Trailer Specialist" used! We came from out of town to specifically purchase a Logan trailer. We bought D2 Trailers' trailer and I will never consider The Trailer Specialist again, based on the dealers unbelievably poor customer service. I later learned of a Trailer Specialist customer that had purchased a living quarter Logan trailer that was treated so poorly on a warranty repair, that she had to use this non-Logan vendor to get her trailers' warranty items fixed! read more

I bought the trailer from them 6 months ago. I called this morning with a jack problem and they told me to bring it right in. I showed up with the trailer an hour later and the guy came walking out with a new one over shoulder and a couple wrenches. As we were talking he asked me how I liked my trailer? The customization I had done was timely, very high quality and a very fair price. The customer service was absolutely outstanding. I bought a new Logan Crossfire 3 horse in early April from this company. I made the deal on the phone and they were great about answering my questions and sealing the deal. I even got a discount on the only one they had left. When I arrived to pick it up I was a few hours early. That was no problem. The trailer was ready to go. I was out of there in no time at all after they lined me out and checked me out on the trailer. I love the trailer. It is very well built and the service was exceptional. They even pointed out a great place to have breakfast. The Trailer Specialist is 307 miles from my place but I will gladly drive the distance again when I need another trailer or anything else that they offer. read more

They are worthless do not buy a trailer from them. I drove 3 hrs because my local dealer was sold out. Had all my loan info ready to go before I got there. Called them in advance to have it ready the night before and when I left. I get there they haven't even looked at the trailer. They make me wait 4 hrs, apparently the brakes were faulty. They then decide they will deliver it in 2days. The delivery driver tells me it was there testing device not my trailer. Several months down the rd I can't figure out why 1 tire is riding so close to my fender. The leaf spring was installed in the complete wrong spot and it has been riding on the axle. Service manager is too busy too take my call, fix everything myself and lose $700 from not being able to work. Spend a day fixing it and have to buy new ubolts because they stripped them out while installing them. Save your time and money. read more

I contacted this dealership after being recommended by a friend. I requested a quote on a horse trailer. I also requested a quote from another dealer to shop around a bit. I received a quote from The Trailer Specialist within 24hrs which was great. The other dealer took almost a week to get my quote, however The Trailer Specialists price was $6000 more than the other dealer. I asked for a copy of the invoice to see what options were added and made the difference in price. I was provided with the invoice and they were actually charging more for less options. I then asked for a new quote from both dealerships with less options to try to bring the price down. I never received a response ever again from The Trailer Specialist. Guess I caught them over charging by $6000 so I offended them? Shop around before buying here, if at all. read more
