These qualities are so refreshing & pronounced that his perfected skill at tree work almost seemed secondary. He's a man of relatively few words, but he listens. And when he speaks he chooses his words carefully and sticks to everything he says. I had a rigid timeline for some tree trimming that I was worried about, and The Tree Guy gave me a reliable estimate & timeline that he stuck to perfectly & seemingly effortlessly despite juggling some of his other work he already had to do in the same day to fit me in. Jonathan was very communicative and patient, even when we were hard to get a hold of after our initial call to him. We just moved into a house with 2 mature avocado trees in our backyard. We were terrified that they were sick or dying, and wanted to get to the bottom of it. First of all, we appreciated that Jonathan did not immediately recommend pruning (which can be very expensive). In fact, he said he thought pruning wouldn't be good for this particular problem. He was very knowledgable about avocado trees and recognized the trees' problems quickly. He gave us so much good information on how to problem solve their issues, giving us about 30 minutes of his time and charging nothing for the consultation. We were very pleased and appreciative of his service. We would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a tree expert, and more specifically, someone who is nice and sincere. This is my second time using them and I swore I posted a review last time. Just like the first time, they got back to me quickly with a quote, communicated with me timely and professionally, were reasonably priced, and got the job done quickly. I had 3 large palm trees and one small palm that needed trimming. They cleaned then trees up and removed those pesky dates that were falling all over my backyard. They cleaned up all the debris and got in and out in about an hour. Jonathan was professional and friendly. They are licensed and insured which protects me as the home owner! We had two tall palm trees which needed major trimming. I contacted about 10 tree services on Yelp with a request for estimates. I received response from several places. Interestingly, the businesses which replied had an identical quote of $150 per palm tree, trim and haul away. We especially liked our interaction with a couple of them. The Tree Guy had the shortest wait time of 3 weeks. Two other places had 4-5 week wait. On the scheduled day, the crew arrived punctually in a very clean truck. The lead, Dwayne, rang the doorbell and introduced himself. The three men promptly began working efficiently. The palm trees look great now. They cleaned up every bit of fronds and fruit pieces from our yard. They even brought our newspaper from the driveway to the front door (it was raining, and we forgot to take it in the morning) Over the years, we've hired several tree services in San Fernando /Conejo Valley. The Tree Guy is hands down the best! For estimates and scheduling, Jonathan is very pleasant and easy to communicate with. His crew is very professional. Jonathan and his crew at The Tree Guy is who you want to call next time you need some help with your trees. We originally contacted him back in the summer to trim some citrus trees. Jonathan came out the next day and spent a good amount of time talking to us about our trees, then ultimately recommended we call him back in the winter, as that's a better time to trim citrus trees. When we called back in the winter, Jonathan came back out again to review the trees and had a proposal in our hands within minutes after wrapping up the visit. Without hesitation, we agreed to his suggestions, and had the work scheduled to be completed just a few days later. The lingering effects of how happy I am that I found Johnathan and his expert proffessional crew has lasted months. I had a large tree trimmed down which they climbed in harnesses with safety gear and expertly trimmed it to a beautiful shape, Eradicated a huge row of Bamboo then they mulched the roots with this Awesome grinding machine, then a crew member climbed my Palm and skinned it to look "resort" like, chainsaw trimmed my giant bird of paradise the threw it in a their shredder! It was like the Tornado went trough my yard but when they were all done the yard was cleaned up flawlessly! Great Job, Well Done....
