Really wanted a breakfast sando to sneak into the movies across the street. This fit the bill. There's a good amount of options for breakfast wraps. Went with the Mediterranean. Filled to the brim with feta/olives/etc. Added on turkey, which I wish there had been a bit more of and hadn't been $2 (the menu at baseline is pretty fairly priced). Made to order and came out super hot, which was nice when it was ~30 degrees out. Otherwise a pretty standard deli with a ton of drink options. Nice little deli across the street from the AMC Cineplex. The narrow store is filled with a small selection of groceries along one wall, with the deli counter and cashier lining the other. Their sandwiches and wraps are all pretty great and they let you customize/ substitute to your hearts content. my absolute favorite is the jack chicken wrap with chipotle breaded chicken, jack cheese, hot peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, and chipotle mayo. I knew that delis would increase their price if they know ur not from around the area, but they do it all the time for no reason Im so confused. Ive only gone twice because of my repeated bad experience, first time it happened I was like ok whatever maybe the menu changed. I even asked the dude behind the counter if the prices were correct and he said yes. I ordered french toast/sausage(3.99 or 4.99 i dont even remember) and i smoothie that was 6.50. How did the total go to $14 and some change? I brushed it off and called it a one time thing, and went back to try again. Again i asked are these prices accurate, and again yes. I asked if the rest was just taxes or what and he said yes, even though he was imputing everything by hand(not the scan types of registers just where ur expected to know the price and u enter it into the machine). The food is good , but i cannot understand why each time I go there, theres a 4-5 dollar extra charge as if I asked for something else. a good decent deli on 2nd ave and 30th st where you can get a egg sandwich , tacos , burgers , pastrami on rye , snacks , beverages, etc , 24/7. i only can personally comment about the breakfast menu as i only visit kips bay deli during the morning and its a good comment as my egg whites on a roll with sausage is very good. any deli thats open 24/7 with a non stop open grill cant be that bad and if you cant find anything to choose from the extensive diverse menu that you better go home and cooked for your damn self. read more
