    Truffliest cheesesteak
    Maria R.

I wouldn't recommend the truffliest for $51. The toppings are all put on one area which makes it overwhelming it should of been spread through the sandwich, its one of those social media things not enjoyable and I love truffle. The truffle cheesesteak for $24 is probably a better choice. Not the best service either I was standing there for about 3 or 4 minutes while the workers avoided looking at me or taking my order even though I was the only one in line. My sandwich was also put in the container upside-down.

Came to truffleist cheesesteak after hearing all about it on my TikTok. I ordered the market price cheesesteak which came with extra truffles, fois gras, and edible flowers. It was a bit over 20 minutes wait which was painful in the cold weather. It was a bit of a show when I got it, the worker torched the fois gras, shaved a generous amount of truffle, and put on the edible flowers. The most beautiful cheesesteak I had ever seen. I was glad I tried it but the pungent raclette cheese and truffle oil really overpowered the dish. It was too rich and too much for me. The meat was fine but it was really hard to finish for me. My friend got some fries and those were much more worth it, as the truffle flavor was strong but not overpowering. Glad I did the experience but I can live without it!

I tried Cheesesteaks By The Truffliest popup location at Bryant Park Holiday Market in NYC. After watching a few videos of the iconic cheesesteak spot on social media, I wanted to give it a try while in NYC. The shop is just big enough to run a sandwich operation. The food experience was underwhelming. Despite the sandwich being substantial in size, the flavor was lacking. The cheese blend was flavorless and only good for the optics and epic cheese-pulls. They leaned heavy on the mozzarella cheese which added no added flavor to the cheesesteak. In fact, it created an imbalance of texture in the cheesesteak overall. If visiting during peak times at the Holiday Market, expect long lines.

Tried CheeseSteaks by the Truffleist at Bryant Park Winter Village today. I ordered the ... 1. Truffle Cheesesteak: This was very delicious and super filling. It had a great truffle flavor, a generous amount of melted cheese, and lots of cheesesteak. It also had a good filling to bread ratio. Rate 7.5/10. 2. Cheesy Truffle Fries: These fries were amazing! The fries were perfectly crispy and had a nice, strong truffle flavor. I wish they could've added more cheese though. Rate 9/10. The prices are a little high, but still fair considering how good the food tasted and their portion sizes. The service was relatively quick (took about 5-10 minutes for my order to be made) and the staff were friendly. Service/staff rate 7/10. Overall, this food stand is a must try at Bryant Park during the holidays!

We came to the stand at the holiday market at Bryant Park. We went on a drizzly cold day so they was no line. By luck we did find a table close by with an umbrella so I was able to try it hot abd fresh!!! Trust me I was not disappointed...yummers!!! I ordered the truffle cheesesteak with mouth watering steak and delicious truffle cheese sauce or was the meat cooked with the truffle oil!?!? Either way the truffle taste was the but not at all over powering. The bread was soft but firm enough to hold up to the over flow of meat, onions and cheese. Please note this us NOT a Philly cheesesteak this is different upscale if you will!!! Lol The staff was awesome I will be back!!!

I saw this kiosk on Instagram for their Truffle Cheesesteaks featured at Bryant Park's winter village and I was eager to try something from there! Since we ate our lunch elsewhere, we decided to go with the Cheesy Truffle Fries with the freshly shaved truffles. I have to say, these fries with the freshly shaved truffles did cost $30. Even though they were expensive, they were delicious! The umami of the truffles with the cheese piled on curly fries was worth it! The one issue was the wait/line--it was about a 30-minute wait, but the day we were at Bryant Park was about 50 degrees and sunny, so it wasn't too bad of a wait, but I did wish the line was a little shorter. Overall if you have the time and you're not super hungry and can wait in line for a while, this kiosk is worth the try!

$20 Goat cheese steak with truffle honey - lacking on the truffle; delicious on the tangy goat cheese. @fork.the.world
    Doug W.

I loved the goat cheese but I was there for the truffle... the non existent truffle. Last year I came and they were out of shaved truffle but was told they'd bring some the next day- lies. This year I went early in the day, no line, but no damn truffle yet again; even the truffle honey was lacking in flavor. The tangy goat cheese was delightful and creamy, but alas, not pleased with the price, portion, or lack-luster, over-hyped CheeseSteaks. Short review just like the length of the sandwich.

The TRUFFLEIST Burger...it's gonna BLOW YOUR MIND!

FRESH SHAVED TRUFFLES!!! Yup... FREEEESH! We're in The NYC! What to do... WHAT TO DO!?!? Never been here around Thanksgiving, so where's our family (HAWLAH Joey P.!) take us? Bryant Park... who?!? LOL! It's a good sized park in the middle of Manhattan, what's special about this park is that the city converts in to a Winter Village, with a spacious ice skating rink and a plethora of food and merchandise stands, like the best of the best NYC has to offer regarding eats. What did I go with... THE TRUFFLEIST!!! Apparently they only make 20 of THEIR SPECIALTY burger and cheesesteaks a day! Why? It's the Truffle that's the WOW! Factor here! No "hints" of truffle with Truffle Oil or truffle butter or truffle salt.. it is REAL DEAL truffle shavings freshly placed onto the the burger or cheesesteak before being served to you. Ms. Anna, was ownin' the Holiday Spirit! So pleasant to chat with, but that GURL was droppin' knowledge! We were #1 & 2 in line so we picked her brain on all that is truffle. She showed us the batch of truffle she had for the day, how difficult it is to obtain, truffle pigs and all! It was My first time smelling a fresh truffle and it had a captivating smell! But all it really did was get my mouth salivating and me HYPED to chow down! Let do this! The TRUFFLEIST CHEESEBURGER: My, OH MY! This was TRULY DECADENT! When they placed our order on the counter and started shaving the truffle onto our order, the aroma just got me all worked up! VERY GENEROUS with the shavings too! Let it rain!!! This burger is not timid in any sense either, with a double 4 oz. thick patty, double layer of melted white cheddar, carmelized onions, truffle Mayo, and a fried Burrata to top it off. First bite, though... HOLY MOLEY! SENSES SHATTERING! Every bite after... EEEH-PIC! Absolutely one of the best burgers EVER CREATED! THE TRUFFLEIST CHEESESTEAK: Tasty stuff here as well, BUT the kicker is that the green peppers cooked with the 1/2 pound of ribeye steak, completely overpowers the impact fresh Truffle should have. Matter of fact, I spent the time to pick out all the green pepper pieces before I chowed down on the rest the sandwich. It was only then that the truffle flavor returned and became all that the sandwich it was meant to be! Generous serving of steak & cheese made this sammie quite filling! Maybe keep the peppers cut larger when cooking so it can be removed before putting it into bread or eliminate it all together from this specific Cheesesteak? VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! NomNom level is HIGH! If you're willing, and you enjoy truffle in your life, this is a MUST have! So worth it! Enjoy!

    OG truffle fries
    Rachael R.

I was so excited to try this place after seeing it on tiktok. I am a huge truffle fan as well, so when my family took a trip to NYC I knew I had to stop at Bryant Park to try this. If it is busy the line sometimes gets long, but they have someone standing there to help guide the line. It moved quickly for us. I ordered the OG truffle fries, which based on the menu should be fries with some truffle sauce/toppings and burrata. It was around $50 when all was said and done. The staff were very nice and they injected the burrata with truffle sauce right in front of me and also shaved fresh truffle on top. However, these fries were just unfortunately not good. There was also cheesesteak topping (meat, cheese, peppers, onions) on the fries which I did not realize there would be, plus chicken nuggets. There was just way too much going on and the flavor was off. The fries were so loaded they were hard to get to. I may try something else here next time but this di not leave a great impression on this truffle lover. This company also has an additional stand in bryant park where they sell their shelf stable and other grocery like items which may be better to take some home!

    Truffle chicken nuggets
    Jane L.

My husband and I stopped by Cheesesteaks by Truffleist at the Bryant Park Winter Village yesterday around noon, and we were a bit disappointed to discover that they were out of fresh shaved truffle. I definitely understand that places run out of ingredients/supplies, but to be out of your STAR ingredient an hour after you open on a Tuesday seems like poor planning. We ended up settling for the cheesesteak burger and an order of truffle chicken nuggets, both of which only had truffle oil/aoili. The nuggets were very crispy and tasty, but I don't know if they were worth $14. The burger was VERY messy and difficult to eat, and I personally didn't enjoy the cheesesteak meat (which more closely resembled chopped cheese than shaved cheesesteak meat). I wouldn't get either again and would probably only return to try the Truffleist burger if I happened to be there on a day when it's available. I will say that the staff members were friendly and the food came out quickly. I've tried their truffle oil and truffle salt before and have been happy with those products, so they seem to have successfully tapped into a niche market.

Fedoroff's is great but pricey, and I remembered Olde City wasn't bad the last time I had it years ago, so I trekked in. Mistake. I should have stayed home. Garlic Parm wings were big and well-sauced, but when I bit in I found they were a bit drier than other wings I've had. And $19 for a plate of wings seems high. Italian fries were the same story - seasoned well, but tough. Nothing like the great ones at Yankee Stadium. When I get tough food I always wonder if they served me reheated leftovers from yesterday. For the cheesesteak, I ordered the "Authentic" which is supposed to come with your choice of cheese (Whiz/American/Provolone/Cooper Sharp/Ghost pepper jack); but I absentmindedly forgot to specify my choice and the server didn't ask me. It was only when the food came and I saw the Whiz when I realized. I would have appreciated a prompt so that I could have gotten Cooper Sharp. It was his first day so maybe he didn't know better. There was another server behind the bar who he was training under. I will give the servers props for giving me the combo price without me asking for it ($18 for cheesesteak, fries, and soda/water). But overall, stuff could have been better. The place was dead. I was one of three people in there but still felt ignored. There's a lot of TVs and a lot of beer options so I can see it being a good place to drink and watch a game. But the food is just ok. Very different than what I remembered.

I ordered the pepperoni on a saturday evening... or was it friday evening? around 9:45pm. It wasn't too crazy busy, but it was busy and loud. The line to order was quick, roughly a 1 minute wait? But to get your slices... the wait wasn't too bad, even though it felt longer than it did. I probably waited 15 minutes or so? Given the fact that there were 20 others ahead of me, that was not bad at all. By the time you get your food, if you wanted to eat there, you could easily find a spot to slide to, to stand and eat. Pepperoni pizza was delicious. Sauce is on the tangier/more acidic side, more tomatoey. and the pepperoni was great. Slight spice to it, but not as good as L'industries. Nonetheless, this slice was delicious. Hot, melty gooey cheese and lots of pepperoni overload. Crust is divine. I could just eat that by itself. I did the Uncle Joe which was a vodka pepperoni sauce and I added pesto. The total was $8.50. WTAF. NYC I guess. I waited less than 5 minutes before getting the pizza. Of the 6 slice spots I had, this was by far the best tasting dough/crust. I had an audible reaction when tasting the crust. Extremely good. Unfortunately, the pizza had too much sauce. It was overwhelming. Simply too much sauce. I could only have about half before giving up. Both sauces tasted good, but the vodka sauce was so loaded that it was hard to taste anything else. A shame because this had potential to be a great score.
