Like most people, we've…read moreseen her videos online and when we were 45 minutes away, we decided we needed to check the place out! She indeed does have the best pancakes and also makes incredible other dishes! This gem is located about 45 minutes south of the quad cities, down a sunny paved road, deep in corn country! It's in a neighborhood and aside from the pancakes on the roof, it's pretty nothing flashy. It's a true down home type diner with seating for 60 ish inside and plenty of outdoor seating. The food here is both American and a couple Chinese dishes - yes, we had dumplings with our breakfast! Totally worth it! We also had chicken fried steak, steak and eggs, and omelette, biscuits and gravy, and her famous pancakes! The pancakes were pretty Epic! Fluffy, sweet, not overly heavy and made just perfect with double butter - because let's face it, you're not here for your health. They had us in and out in like 45 minutes - the place is a machine! We had a chance to talk with Judy, and she was as nice as we had hoped! We got to chat with her for a while about her favorite foods to make, and got a fangirl/boy picture with her outside the restaurant. They've got great food, small town charm and big time fun vibes here. Do like Judy say and "Come for Breakfast!"

While on a road trip throughout multiple states, I found myself not far so made it a point to stop in. I sat at the counter and received excellent service. I had the berry medley pancakes and the sausage patties. Everything was delicious! Coincidentally, while I was in Galesville Judy was in DC (not far from where I live). Her being there would have made the experience more exciting but I knew it was not a guarantee.

I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fresh fruit. . The chicken came as ordered, plain, with a side of honey mustard. The fruit was also very fresh! Everything was very tasty! My friends ordered the tenderloin and unfortunately I can't remember my other friend's order. They did say the enjoyed the food and too home the extras to finish. I thought my server was wonderful. I am currently on a low salt diet and she did her best to accommodate my needs. After she found out the tenderloin only came breaded she checked to make sure that would be okay, which it wasn't, but helped me order something else. She also didn't charge me extra for the fruit since I was unable to have a side. The cafe was very busy, but not too noisy, except for maybe one person who was seated across from us. I cannot wait to return, I had an exceptional meal.

This place 520 has become our family breakfast on Saturday mornings when we visit. The place is always busy. Sometimes we gotta wait on a table but they usually move pretty quick. On thus trip I talked to the owner as I was paying and told him how good everything was and how far we drove and had to drive home. Oscar is his name and is a great guy. As I was paying he fiddled with the register and as he gave me my change he slipped me a gift card. I was kinda taken back a little and we talked a little more then I went back to the table to finish our coffee to get ready to leave. I got to say the staff here is spot on. Never did we want for anything. The food was great and coffee was delicious. So we pack up the kids and go out to the cars to transfer bags and luggage when I turn around and here comes Oscar the owner. Evidently I dropped the card he had given me. He came right out and we talked a little more to the point I feel we made new friends with each other. I totally recommend eating here. You won't be disappointed. Bring your kids and family and enjoy a great home style breakfast. It's great!

We ordered the surf and turf with an extra lobster tail, the 22 oz ribeye steak dinner, two sundaes, and the French onion soup. The French onion soup was a bit too salty for our taste, and the ribeye was slightly dry for our liking. Our son practically drank his surf and turf and lobster tail, so it's safe to say he loved his meal! The ice cream and strawberry purée were also delicious. The dining area was clean and nicely maintained. Overall, we'd definitely come back, now knowing which items suit our taste best.

A True Hidden Gem in Galesburg - Craft on Seminary…read more We had an outstanding experience this evening at Craft on Seminary in Galesburg. From start to finish, everything was top-shelf. We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Amanda and Adam, whose service was absolutely exceptional -- professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. We've been to Craft a few times now. Our first visit under the new management didn't quite live up to our expectations, but this second visit was an entirely different story. The food, service, and overall experience were all exceptional -- you can really feel the team hitting their stride. We started with the Prime Fillet Carpaccio and the CHEZ Willis Calamari, and both were fantastic. Perfectly fresh, balanced, and not over-seasoned -- just clean, well-executed flavors that let the quality of the ingredients shine. The atmosphere strikes that ideal fine dining tone without feeling stuffy -- the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a great meal, and appreciate true craftsmanship in both the kitchen and behind the bar. We truly hope more people discover Craft on Seminary -- it's the kind of place that deserves to thrive. If you're anywhere near Galesburg, make a point to stop in. You won't be disappointed.

The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly and the atmosphere is awesome. The interior dining area is limited, so call ahead for a spot! But once there you can look at the historic local photographs on the walls, appreciate the ornate metal ceiling, and watch the chef prepare the amazing crepes via a well positioned mirror over the cooking surface. The crepes, whether savory or dessert, never disappoint. There are many wonderful fresh ground coffees to choose from, their aroma greet you as you come in the front door. But my favorite experience at Landmark is to dine outside on the beautiful, secluded patio. We usually go for a crepe, but this time I had the Wagyu beef meatloaf sandwich. Juicy and delicious! And I never stop in without getting the spinach bisque (you can get a cup, but I always get a bowl). It is so rich and creamy and exactly as I remember it from, well, back in the day. Highly recommend!

The are known for their savory quiche and crepes as well as their delicious ice cream filled dessert crepes, ordering the Spinach Bisque is a MUST! While a cup may be fine for some, I always insist on a bowl of the creamy, buttery bisque. Recently for lunch, I chose their Wagyu Meatloaf Sandwich, paired with spicy ketchup, provolone and crispy onion strings on a grilled artisan white bun. The side of Mayo aoli is a great topping too! Sitting inside and watching the chefs prepare the crepes is a delight, but a beautiful afternoon calls for a relaxing meal on their ivy lined patio! It is so cute and gives such great small town peaceful vibes. Highly recommend; but you may need to call ahead for reservations.
