I was aware that oftentimes it may be necessary to go up to the roof and clean the vent or sometimes a screen up there. This service is often priced less than $200. But Duct Brothers wanted $399. Then they told be that my vent on top had a "stuck" flap that needed repair and they could do the "whole job" for $500 ! I subsequently called another company and they came out and took pictures. There is no flap up there at all !!!!! The new company measured the air flow and it was good. Duct Brothers is a fraud! Do not fall for their upselling at preposterous prices.

The technicians were great; no complaints there. I decided to add a heat pump before the tax credits were eliminated. Again, the installers were great. My issue with the company is this. It is now December, and even after multiple phone calls, my new furnace and heat pump STILL have not been inspected by the City of Englewood. The management couldn't be bothered to follow up with a customer who spent $20,000 on a new furnace and heat pump. I even called and asked to talk to the owner. I was told they were in a meeting and would call me back. They never did. I had a City inspector at my house this week to inspect a different project and told him about my experience with Summit Heating and Cooling. He looked up my furnace project and saw they had pulled an electrical permit but not a mechanical permit, so that's why they were not following through arranging an inspection. The City inspector sent them a notice of some sort that they need to fix this, and as of yet, has not received a reply or a fix. All this shows me is this company can't be trusted to do the right thing.
