I scheduled an appointment for my daughter and specifically called the salon in advance to explain that she has very thick hair and would likely need additional appointment time. Despite that conversation, the appointment was not scheduled for enough time to complete the requested services. As a result, the stylist ran out of time, my daughter did not receive the haircut that was scheduled, and we left with highlights that were not completed to the standard we expected. What has been most frustrating has been the effort required to get the issue addressed. I contacted the salon hoping to simply have the services corrected. Instead, I spent several hours over multiple conversations trying to resolve the situation. While I understand the need to gather information, the process felt unnecessarily difficult and was met with repeated explanations rather than clear solutions. I never requested a refund--only an opportunity to have the haircut completed and the highlighting corrected. Unfortunately, after investing significant time trying to work through the issue, I still do not feel that a reasonable resolution has been reached. Based on my experience, Cha Cha's provides excellent service when everything goes as planned. However, if a problem does arise, my experience suggests that resolving it may be far more challenging than it should be. Update: To be clear, I was coordinating the conversation because McKenna was placed under my account by your staff. I was not refusing to let you speak with her. The current process of calling in, then waiting for texts or return calls later in the day, does not work well with her schedule and has made it very difficult to get this resolved in a straightforward way. Based on the photos, I am not sure what additional information is needed. The service was not completed as expected, and the highlights were not well done. Yes, McKenna would like the issue corrected. At this point, I would appreciate a direct call so we can discuss the next step and get this resolved.

It used to be clean, professional, and generally top-notch. Then I hit a bohemian phase of my life in college and for a while after, I went for about six years without getting a haircut, grew my hair long, and didn't have any need for a salon. Well, then I got a new direction in my life, and decided to get a haircut. Well, I really didn't know where to go to get a good haircut, so I decided to look up my old salon. I had to do some internet searching to find their number, since they weren't at the place they used to be. The person who answered the phone was very curt, it seemed like I was bothering them by calling to make an appointment. I was told bluntly that they weren't taking any new clients, when I mentioned this was the last place I'd had a haircut, six years ago, and I was just trying to give them repeat business, they seemed to begrudgingly give me a hair appointment. A few days later I drove out to their new location. They had moved from the Lexington Green shopping center to the back of an office building out in the suburbs, if you didn't know they were there, you'd never know it. You could certainly believe they weren't looking for new clients, the sign for them was very understated, and I was half afraid I'd gone to the wrong place. Inside, it looked more like a business office than a hair salon, and I had my hair cut by a burly, surly man who didn't talk at all through it, and they only had one chair for cutting hair, in the back. There were no other clients there. It was puzzling to say the least, that they weren't taking new clients and I had to almost fight to get in, they seemed to have no clients when I got there, and had only the most token ability to actually cut hair. The haircut itself was a mediocre hatchet-job of trimming off my ponytail and quickly trimming my hair into something decent. As I previously stated, my stylist had zero people skills and I actually felt vaguely scared at letting him around me with scissors. I was charged $40 for this haircut, which was about $30 more than it was worth. Tipping may be common with hair salons, but I really didn't think they'd earned it. I paid with cash, got out of there, and drove off (and started asking around for a better place to get a haircut).
