I just moved to KY fm MS and I absolutely LOVE this salon! I have been doing a slow grey blend with my hair for the last year & I have long, curly, fine hair. It has been damaged before by a salon who didn't know curly hair & I had to cut it all off. Terra & all the staff was so fun, friendly, & I absolutely LOVE the transformation that Terra did on my hair! it's absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Since November, I've been working with Terra to go from dark brown, almost black hair to platinum. She has done such incredible work. I've always wanted to be blonde, and she took the time to get me there without damaging my hair. The care and attention that she puts in have left my hair the most beautiful it has ever been. I was in a bad situation, my non profit got word that the local news wanted to do a story on us. However, it had been months since my last dye. I wanted to grow it out and it was in that horrible stage, so being on TV like that was not acceptable. I called everyone close to my house in Williamsburg, Corbin and London. It was Friday and I needed to have it done before Monday morning. But no one was available, no matter how much I pleaded. Then my friend had the idea to go to Lexington to Paul Mitchell. It is scary trusting a stranger but she said this was the best idea because of the instructors. How we, upon arrival a snow delay had canceled them taking walk ins. So I sat in my truck and started calling places. The nice woman who answers the phone was great. I don't know how she did it, but she got German to agree to take me at 6:30 pm(they close at 6pm). I was so scared but felt I would be more embarrassed if I went on TV so I showed up. I felt like whatever he thought was good, I would listen to him and I figured he would recommend the quickest way to fix my hair so he could head home. But he took no short cuts and spent a good amount of time doing the consult before beginning to get to work. The color is beautiful, the hair cut is beautiful. And I am so freaking grateful that these people went the extra, extra mile to help me, when no one else would. I am not joking when I say I spoke to 36 salons before coming across this place. And even though it is 1 hr and 45 mins from my house, this is where I am going from this day forward. I needed a haircut so bad! This place had online scheduling and I set something up. I had Christopher and he was amazing. These are level 4 stylists and worth the visit to the this obscure mall. The price is very reasonable and you'll get the perfect cut. The shop is adorable and clean. They are taking the precautions for COVID-19. They were very busy which is a good thing. By FAR THE BEST HAIR SALON I have ever been to. They are very professional with a very professional atmosphere with down home demeanor. German the owner has a memory that is unreal of remembering names & makes sure to make you feel as important as EVERYONE else. They talk as little or as much as you want. Yet, even with such a large pool of which to compare, there is no question that Dolce Hair Salon is the single best salon I have ever patronized, and Terra, my hairstylist at Dolce, is by far, the best hair stylist who has ever worked on my hair. I came to Terra with a complex hair situation--multiple shades of blonde, over-processed and dry hair from years of coloring, and on top of that, very fine strands that were too limp to hold style. In a matter of two appointments, Terra fixed my color by adding beautiful dimension with low lights and a more even-toned blonde. In addition, Terra added a beautiful set of extensions into my hair, thus creating volume and length that I never believed possible. Because of Terra's impeccable work, I am infinitely more confident with my hair, and truly thrilled with the styles I can now do. Just as important, however, Terra is incredibly thoughtful and kind in instructing me how to take care of my hair, style it, and maintain its health over the long-term. Extremely extremely happy with this salon. I needed a last minute appointment bc I was scheduled for a cut and color from ANOTHER salon but there was miscommunication, and she only had me down for a consultation. I was a little upset bc I need my hair done bad and took a chance calling a few places to see if there was availability. So, when I called Dolce, the women working the front (Carol) said she would see if she could do something for me and would call me back. Within five minutes she called me back and said one of the girls Jacqueline ( hopefully spelt right) would take me at 6, even though they close at 6, she would stay to help me. I went in, spoke with Jacqueline and went over that i wanted to cut off a decent amount and have a new style, also go from a dark brown to a dark plum. She listened tentatively, and optimistically said that we could get it done. First I got a nice oil neck massage which I've never had for a hair apt and that was fantastic, then at the sinks I got a warm thing that went over my chest, and eye mask, and a oil hand massage- so so relaxing. The end result was exactly what I wanted and visualized. I wanted a lot cut off bc my ends were fried and thought I would be a little upset from losing my long hair, but she shaped it so nice for my face that I didn't freak out! The color is beautiful and soft and she styled it exactly how I wanted it, with ease. They gained a long term customer with me, she could have rushed me and wanted to get out of there fast but did not, she took her time as if i was her first appointment of the day. The atmosphere and energy was great within. The salon itself was VERY clean and decorated pretty. The staff seemed to have nice moral between them and just a place you don't mind being at for a few hours. I also found their prices to be affordable with the level of service you receive. German has cut my best friend's hair for years and she has consistently looked fabulous, so when I came into town in desperate need of a cut, he went above and beyond. He took the time to give me the most thorough cut I've ever experienced, also adding highlights that look so natural I was almost fooled that I had just been sitting the pool all week. The years of experience and the ease of which he makes you look like the best version of yourself is astounding. Even days after the cut, my hair is more cooperative than it has ever been. This place is amazing!! Carol takes care of the front and keeps them all on track she is super sweet and just a gem to work with! I see Christopher, he not only awesome, he listens to what you want and has not only nailed it every time I've gone to him (since May of this year) but blown it out of the park!! You pay for what you get here...great service, kind and funny people and an amazing result!!!
