Amazing lunch deals at $10. If you show your student or university ID lunch becomes $5! Limited to one item for person at $5 though. But how can you beat this!!!!!! Good service, good food, can't complain. Cannot wait to go back more.

U Bar & Grill near Columbia University is a fantastic spot. Different types of food options from Dominican food to Classic American style dishes and good portion sizes. The atmosphere is inviting and lively, sometimes chaotic, but the staff is friendly and attentive. Great drinks, appealing presentation, and excellent value make it a must-visit for a casual meal or night out.

Came back here to actually eat this time. They have great Taco Tuesday deals along with happy hour all day !!! Came here after work and we enjoyed our tacos. Although the shrimp one's my coworker said the breading was off, but she enjoyed the beef. I also enjoyed my vegan tacos, came with guac and veggies. Will be back and try their other vegan dishes. Drinks always pack a punch. Enjoy !!

It's honestly such a disappointment that I have to write this review. In August 2025 I came here to watch the the reunion for Love Island. It was amazing. The food was good and drinks were too. The space and workers were also very accommodating. Clean bathrooms and everything. My place of employment wanted to book somewhere to have our holiday gathering after work for December 2025. I visited U Bar in person in late October to inquire about such an event for approximately 70 people. The host informed me to get in touch with the owner due to such a large amount of people and just wanted to ensure that it could be accommodated as needed. I had no problem with that and she gave me the business card, I bought some grilled chicken pasta Alfredo and headed home. As soon as I got home I spoke to the owner Eddy both via text and call. We spoke about what accommodations I would need, he said no problem. I reiterated to him that it was something that would be very informal and he told me that since it was on Friday, he would honor the "college Friday" deal that they have for college students for myself and colleagues as well. As you can imagine I was all for it, he booked it for December 19th at 4pm. He told me that he could open earlier for us, but just for the downstairs section which was perfectly fine. No hassle. After the call, I got an automated text stating that my reservation for "15" people had been booked and confirmed. I called him back immediately and told him that the reservation was for 70 problem as discussed, not 15. He told me not to worry that it'll be fixed in the system eventually but that I didn't have to worry about the glitch. I said okay fine. Keep in mind, this was late October this all transpired. Fast forward to December 11th 2025, I got an automated text stating that my reservation had been updated to 70 people. Not sure why it took a month and a half to "update" the number of people but I didn't care as long as the agreement we had had been met the day of. Then the VERY NEXT DAY on 12/12, I got an automated text stating that my reservation for 12/19 had been canceled altogether. Feeling understandably confused and annoying, I called U Bar at least 6 times to speak to someone to clear up what the confusion about the reservation is because I'm only a week out from the date of the event at this point. NO ONE picked up the phone but they were definitely open at the time. Remembering that I had Eddy's number from speaking to him prior, I called him to no answer but then texted him to explain my grievance. He then proceeded to respond back and say that the restaurant, managers as well as HIMSELF had been calling me prior to because I had two reservations booked. Now, keep in mind, I didn't actually make the reservation on my end, HE, the OWNER, made the reservation based on our conversation. I explained how disappointed I was that the reservation would be cancelled without notice. He informed me that he would speak to the manager about the situation. He hasn't gotten back to me. I then spoke to my best friend who had the idea of calling the restaurant and sneaking a merged call where I could speak to them. He did in fact get in contact with someone at U Bar (I heard it myself) but then the line disconnected. He called back immediately and no one picked up. No one there ever called me about having two reservations. I tend not to even believe that I had two reservations because ... 1. I never booked any reservation there on MY end. 2. Why didn't I receive an automated message about the "other" reservation that was allegedly booked as I had gotten about the one for the event? 3. The owner alleged that I had a reservation booked for both 12/12 (the day my original reservation was cancelled) AND 12/19 the actual day of the event. But even if I did have two reservations, what difference would that make? Am I not allowed to reserve a spot on multiple days? What would one reservation have to do with the other? None of it makes any sense. They will never see a DIME from me and what's worse is that I was ACTUALLY looking forward to my colleagues and I really visiting this place and getting the same care that I initially felt back in August. Now, I pray for the day this place becomes a parking lot. Unbelievably unprofessional.

    Frozen Margarita: tamarind flavor

I went to this place and really liked itThe frozen tamarind margarita was super refreshing and had a good amount of tequila. I also tried the picanha, which is hard to find in NYC, and it was juicy and tasty. The vibe is chill, like a sports bar, and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely come back.

Great place to chill & relax with friends!! The music is great and staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend. Food is delicious!!!

The place has an amazing aesthetic! The food was so amazing, ranging from traditional hispanic food to amazing fusions. Set right next to Columbia University, this is the perfect spot for people in the community to come and find something new and exciting! Music ranged from great Hispanic hits by Bad Bunny to great fun EDM tunes. Our server, Brenda, was super kind and sweet, treated us so well we started calling her Reina! The queen of service! Amazing experience with friends and family! 10/10

I like this spot due to its practicality and simpleness. Enough seating for everyone - except on a crazy game night, but most of the time you'll find seating. Some indoor/outdoor. Service is ok- nothing too crazy bad but nothing too crazy good. I enjoy their late night eats- I'm a REAL fan of their burger. Love it actually and really the only reason I make this review. My bf loves their wings. He loves their crispiness and the skin on the wings. Also enjoy the solid beer. We have also had their mozzarella sticks- worth it!

I've been to this place several times and I must say that the service is very good. The severs are friendly and welcoming! The menu here has your typical bar food. I've tried the salads, French fries, and recently the bison burger. I think the food here is fine, but nothing really stands out to me. My friend had the French onion soup, and she really liked it. This place gets major props for being fully wheelchair accessible. They have a ramp in the back, and my friends who are in wheelchairs are able to get in with no issues, which is not the case in most restaurants.
