Attended a 2000's Limewire party and was impressed by how spacious the place was inside. Arrived around 9:30pm & there was no line at all. Walked right on in, went through security, got checked in and the vibes were on. There is a bar to the right of venue. The dance floor is right in the middle of the space with what looked like VIP seating on the sides. Bathrooms are all the way in the back though so you do have to maneuver your way through the crowd in order to get to them. They have an outside patio with tables in case you need to smoke or just get out of the craziness. Overall pretty impressed with the efficiency of all the workers and the place was very clean. No food sold here only drinks. This is located right beside the Fillmore in NC Music Favtory. They have street parking and a parking garage as well. Great experience and wouldn't mind coming back for another event here.

This is by far one of my favorite small venues to see an artist in! I was delighted and overjoyed by what was offered to me with the VIP Pass I purchased for the Anees tour. My friend and I were able to sit and relax during the entire show. Especially helpful during the in between times. Everything was pretty much on a timely schedule though. And I was able to walk right in and out at the beginning and end. Everything was incredibly easy and wonderful. The drinks were delicious too! Pricey, but that's to be expected. I look forward to visiting again!

Great venue. Friendly staff. Parking was easy. Generous pours on the drinks. Recommend for a night out.

No food was available at the venue Service of security was quick and simple. Have pockets emptied and tickets ready before entering for a breeze check in. Quick service at the bar was pleasant as well. Pretty large venue for a "small venue." Had a great time seeing the artist we was there for. Sound through out the place was great! Bathrooms were clean and multiple stalls were provided

The Underground is a nice venue for intimate events. I had the pleasure of seeing one of my favorite artists live. The Underground was the venue to our concert on Saturday, April 29th. We really enjoyed ourselves, the only complaint we have is - we understand security has a job to do but felt they could have been just a little friendlier. The bartending staff on the right side of the venue especially the lady was AMAZING AND she could mix a YUMMY Vodka Pink Lemonade. The venue was mid-size but loved the decor and lighting. I hope to return to Charlotte one day!!

This a "true to sight" vantage point of the stage from where you're sitting in the $100 table seats.

What YOU NEED TO KNOW Before you get ROBBED by this Venue I couldn't find any of this information online, or on the reviews, so I'm going to let you guys know what I found out(too late) and got robbed blind by this venue. The VIP ACCESS AREA IS NOT WORTH IT! I labeled the pictures. You stand way in the BACK. It's the furthest vantage point from the stage. If you want to sit in those barstools near the railing, it's $70 extra. Other that, you have to stand near the ramp OR behind the people with the $70 barstool seats. They offered to upgrade me to the $70 barstool seats, BUT THEN THERE IS ANOTHER UPGRADE, for $100 table seats to the left side of the venue, with a much higher vantage point. And a much better view from the side. ANOTHER CATCH! You can't buy a SINGLE table seat, YOU HAVE TO buy TWO seats, so $200. Luckily I found another single-concert goer, so we went in together and purchased a table together. That's still $100 per seat, so I paid $100 and he paid $100. The drink prices and food prices are OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH! I have attached a picture of that as well. Plus, the service at the "special tables," not so special. It was super inconvenient that the server didn't show up to take any trash away, or ask for any refills. The dude sharing the table with me had to leave the concert to go to get a refill on his drink at the bar because the waitress never showed back up. Then she-MAGICALLY decides to show up during the artists' encore, and tries to settle the tab. I'm not a person to walk away and not pay for my meal, but I know a lot of people aren't like that. I would have closed out my tab after the encore song was over. Ruined the last song for me completely. I would have settled my tab earlier if she would have SHOWED BACK UP DURING THE HALFWAY POINT OF THE CONCERT. She also didn't offer a receipt, so now I'm fearful of getting scammed. This venue will rip you off BLINDLY. Neither me, nor the man I shared a table with knew about the $100 seats beforehand, or about the $70 barstools in front of our standing area in front of the VIP ACCESS AREA. I hope the artist is getting some of the profits for all these schemes this venue charges for. Instead of pocketing the money just for themselves. The only benefit to the VIP ACCESS, was the "fast lane," just buy the "fast lane pass." And get there early to get an awesome spot to stand. It's what I should have done to begin with. But now I know and I wanted others to know too.

This is a cool joint. Not as large as I thought it would be, standing room was plentiful for this show. Security was cool, just doing their job. I didn't want to buy alcohol so I didn't get a wristband. That being said, I was a mid 40's guy with a big black X on each hand which I found amusing. With bars on each side of the venue, those that want drinks don't have to walk from one side to the other. VIP tables are available but to be honest, I'd have been irritated if I'd gotten one. They are high top tables set off to the side with railing around them. Bathrooms are great. Some other places need to take some notes. Sound was pretty good. We were close to the stage and it was still decent. Pretty bassy but that's on the sound crew. After the show it cleared out quick. I think if it was a packed house it would clear out quickly as well. I'd come here again if needed. I liked this place.

I visited "The Underground" for a concert. What a cool spot! Everything around it also seems neat. Parking was easy to find and the lines were well-controlled. The venue was spacious enough for a sold-out show. It was the perfect size for an indie band. There's also enough space for everyone to see the show without feeling uncomfortable. The room was also easy to navigate with some open walkways to the restroom. I look forward to seeing a show here again in the near future.

The venue itself isn't too bad. It's pretty spacious, but the stage is kinda low. If you're deep in the crowd, not 6 foot+, and not completely in the front you're going to have some problems seeing whoever is on the stage. Luckily if I couldn't see them they'd just run back into my view so it wasn't completely terrible. Everything they were selling was overpriced though at the bar.

The easiest way to make me happy... "wanna go to a concert?" my sister friend and I saw Blxst in concert at The Underground at nc Fillmorenc. We sung, we danced and truly enjoyed the vibes. Just like that viral video going around says... "we had a time last night!!" I don't have a lot of footage but that just means I was being present in the moment.

I attended a concert here lastnight. Staff were not the most friendly and the place feels like a giant fire hazard. I only saw one entrance and just felt alittle off. The bathrooms are way up front behind the stage. If you are on VIP (which is also a rip off) you have about a 10 minute hike trying to get through all the people. VIP is all the way in the back and it's really the worst place to see. But, it's the only place with seating. Limited seating at that. There is an outside patio for smoking and a few different bars. I was not impressed with this place at all.

Ask the Community - The Underground

    How's the safety here?

The area is pretty safe in general but it can be extra security depending on the event.

Can I get in to see a band perform if I'm under 21?

Some bands allow under 21 at the show while others do not. Just call the Fillmore box office and they will tell you if under 21 is okay. The Underground and the Fillmore are part of the same complex.

I am very popular back in my hometown maybe not for all good reasons. I come off as a whistleblower but one thing you will never call me as a liar and this last time I went to this establishment the DJ tried to throw shots at me as I'm walking through, which didn't really bother me as much because I don't even know who he is which I feel like it's kind of lame and childish and he's probably broke so I get it if I intimidated him in anyway I don't apologize about that however it's more than just about money cause that just says a lot about his character not mine so if you are a out of town and you're looking for a nice dining lounge experience, this is not the place to go. This is more for local if I had to guess I would say drug users so if you're not into that lifestyle, I don't recommend it. and although the food was good, I will never return back because of the disrespect from the DJ, which was unnecessary and very childish to say the least. hope this helps someone looking for a nice established lounge to visit. We weren't bothering anyone or causing problems, but apparently having fun in a different way than the people doing the same routine over and over again was an issue. The lack of space awareness on the dance floor was ridiculous. People were literally pushing others out of the way/off the dance floor just so they could have more room to dance. People were constantly bumping into our chairs, and not once would they apologize or even acknowledge that they had hit someone. If you looked at them afterward because they had just slammed into your chair, they would actually give you an attitude and become rude toward you. The whole atmosphere felt incredibly cliquey and hostile. Instead of people being respectful and making room for each other, it felt like certain regulars believed they owned the dance floor and everyone else needed to get out of their way. And then there's the fact that they do the same line dance to practically every song. There's barely any variety, so if you aren't interested in doing the exact same routine over and over again, there really isn't much else to enjoy. For a place that is supposed to be about dancing and having a good time, there was a surprising lack of basic courtesy and respect. Between being told we couldn't have a dance circle, people pushing others off the floor, constantly bumping into chairs without apologizing, and the rude attitudes when you dared to look at them, we definitely won't be coming back.

There's plenty of parking if you plan to drive, especially if you arrive early. Definitely worth it as you can walk right over from your spot and it's pretty easy to head out. Parking for events is typically $20. The security procedure getting in is also quite efficient. Make sure to check the bag policy before coming in. If you have assigned seats it's worth it to stop through VGBG to wait out the line, plus they validate parking if you're looking to have a meal before the concert. And if you're looking for other food options there's plenty within walking distance. Just check the days and hours, as concerts during the week may not have as many food options.
