I called my insurance (thinking that I should have checked to see if they were in-network, and they were). I called the office to question the discrepancy in the amount and was told that the charge was for the retina imaging. I was not informed of the additional cost. (I have not had to question additional costs at an optometry office before.) I was told that it gives the doctor a better view of the eye. I really liked the doctor and she answered all my questions. She was very thorough. I just wasn't informed of the additional service/cost.

I'm taking online classes and I have to read a lot, so I was getting headaches almost everyday. It was awful! I've gone to regular eye doctors in the past and had already tried 3 different pairs of glasses, but my past prescriptions for glasses always made my headaches and dizziness worse. Eventually I would just stop wearing the glasses. My experience at her office was very pleasant and comfortable, unlike my past experiences at other eye doctors. Dr. Weiss picked up on my medical history of severe debilitating migraines and multiple concussions. She gave me a new prescription for computer and reading glasses and recommended a tint to prevent migraines. It has helped so much! Dr. Weiss also recommended her light therapy program to reduce migraines and stress. I started that treatment at home right away and it has given me a breakthrough. Dr. Lisa Weiss is an eye doctor I trust! She is knowledgeable and dedicated, exceptional among her peers. Since she is a neuro-optometrist, I think she is the best choice for anyone with headaches or dizziness related to vision. I highly recommend her if you need to get your eyes checked or have headaches from working on the computer or reading - and especially if you have tried other eye doctors who were unable to help. 5 stars!

It started with my new exam, but a different doctor.  The exam, itself, seemed alright.  When my new glasses came in a week later, things went downhill quickly.  I was handed them, asked to look around and then dismissed.  As the afternoon went on, I struggled to focus.  I also discovered several scratches on both lenses.  I called the next day to request to be re-examined, along with having the lenses replaced.  The doctor admitted to bumping up my prescription because of my elevated astigmatism.  A completely new setup was ordered. I was called two weeks later and, again, handed the glasses, asked to look around and dismissed.  I didn't take the time to look at the lenses carefully.  When I got home and went to clean them correctly, I noticed the left lense looked as though it had been cleaned with sand paper.  I've owned my previous pair for two years and they have not a scratch on them. I took them back in, with an attitude.  They said they would address the issue promptly.  Two weeks later, I'm told they are back.  I asked them to inspect the lenses before I wasted time coming back in.  Three hours later, I get a call to inform me that the lab applied the earlier prescription.  I was told I would receive some form of reimbursement.  It never happened. It took another three weeks to get them back, and they were wrapped in foam.  The office assistant informed me that the lab supervisor inspected and wrapped them personally.  As she was the only person in sight, I was handed a set of ill-fitting glasses that drove me crazy. Costco was amazing with the little time it took to fit and adjust them. I cannot recommend Main Street Optometry at all.  As so many reviews have stated, the level of quality and customer service has gone downhilll dramatically.  Warranty withstanding, I will not be returning.

First off we weren't told the Dr Weiss wasn't going to be the Dr. We should have been notified and given the option of the other Dr, after all this is a medical visit. This is Covid and I saw the tech Sara in the room behind the reception area with her mask pulled down. I should have left right then and there. When it came to my turn, I asked her to keep it pulled up tight. The eye exam was uneventful the Dr seemed very disinterested. The optician was fine though. But picking up the glasses was horrible. The receptionist handed them to us. We had to ask for them to be fitted. We both said the glasses are wrong. The receptionist said try it but my husbands RX is so wrong he can't see well from one eye and the lenses are size of hideous coke bottles. They are remaking them. As for me every thing is fuzzy. The receptionist said try it. Well today I'm dizzy I can't wear them, I've tried. I've worn glasses for 51 years this is ridiculous. I have no faith or even want to go back to this place but I have to. I'd rather 100% my money back. I've called my insurance company. OBTW they slip in the return policy into the the paperwork after you pay without saying what the return policy is.

I have serious concerns about how they maintain patient information; its a borderline HIPAA violation. They require numerous forms be filled out, many duplicative; and you might consider having an Attorney review them before signing them and waiving so many of your rights. Despite filling out the forms online before the visit, the practice still requires you to sign more forms when you arrive and it seems the staff there has no way to retrieve them. So basically, your private information is out there somewhere unknown, and you have no idea how it is being used and who really has access to it. You should realize, EyeLux is a big corporation. Because of her outstanding service to her patients, I suggested to her that she seek another practice, or that she open her own office, rather than work for a company that requires you to waive your rights as a patient, asks repetitive questions, and doesn't appear to have any answers as to where your private information resides.
