I needed a notary and I needed it ASAP. I tried using Yelp to find a traveling notary but I couldn't get anyone to give me a quote. So, I called 10 minutes before the UPS store closed & they answered the phone right away. They were very nice and told me the notary public would be back at 9am the next morning. I pulled up at 10am on Saturday. Walked in and was immediately greeted. Waited just a moment for the nice lady to finish with her customer. I was in and out with my notarized document in about 15 minutes total. PS - go early. There's no appointments for Notary and call & check her schedule. Today I had to get some last minute flyers printed for my new listing. They promptly picked up the phone when I called and were patient as I was trying to forward my flyer directly to them. I was minutes away and when I got there the job was complete. When I took a closer look the pages were not synced up correctly. But we were able to turn around and get a new batch of flyers done correctly. All of this went well as I was able to leave the store quickly after the correction. I almost never ever leave reviews, especially bad ones, but the new staff here is just so rude and unprofessional that it drove me to write this. Honestly, it's so bad that I rather drive to a farther UPS location (on Hillcrest) because they're super friendly there. The new girls appear to hate their jobs, never smile, irritated from the moment you walk in, and they're just flat out RUDE. I truly wonder how they passed the interview? Some of these people I would never hire because it's such a sure way to drive out customers for good. I've talked to multiple people and they've all had the same experiences. Seriously, clean up your staff and make sure to choose people who will actually do their job with joy, courtesy, and professionalism. Be prepared to wait. Only two staff members available right now. Keeps engaging in small talk with the elderly couple she's helping, which is making the long bit of paperwork they're trying to take care of take even longer. Other staff member is on the computer with a customer. I just need to grab a quick package, but I have to wait an eternity for help. Placecould either use some sort of express service for people just grabbing a quick package, or hire more help. Staff is clearly overwhelmed. To top it all off, not only did they somehow not have my package, they acted like I was bothering them and wanted to just get me out of the store. "Here's a number, call them, I dunno what's going on" was the general attitude. They gave me a number to call and sent em on my way. I told the lady who was "helping" me that the invoice number can be used to track the package. She scoffed and said "no you can't." I went outside and tried to track via the invoice number and VOILA, it worked. So I had to go back into the store and wait behind three people, even though I already waited in line, just to show the employee that the tracking number indeed shows the package is in the store. Long story short, they finally get serious about trying to find the package. Turns out the package wasn't for me, but went to the wrong address. If the employees had taken this mystery seriously from the beginning, we could've saved a lot of time here. Very frustrating experience. read more

With that said, I drove around and around to find the UPS store. And alas, there it was, in the back, not facing Delta Fair, but facing Buchanan. I sold one of my books to chegg.com, a site that buys back textbooks and rents them out. They provided a shipping sticker, but I checked just in case to make sure it had adequate postage. I went to this store to send an important document. The woman who helped me didn't communicate with me very well at all. She also apparently had some problems with the computer and had to get assistance from a store manager. When I got home and looked at my receipt I found out she had sent the document via regular U.S. mail. Not UPS overnight though she charged me the same. She did provide me with a tracking number. That only allowed me to painfully watch as it took five days for USPS to even recognize the tracking number, which of course made it appear that the document was lost, and then seven days for the document to be delivered. I use them occasionally for shipping returns, and each time I have gone in the gentlemen that work there greet me with a friendly welcome and assist me right away! The last time I went in, I was not prepared for the return I needed to process and needed some assistance. The gentleman told me exactly what I needed and took care of everything. What is it about UPS stores in Antioch... The old one was horrible, and this one is going on the same route - I think it has the same moronic employees. So I send a package to Chicago pretty much weekly, and UPS has managed to screw up the delivery about 9 times already, while FedEX has never once messed up a delivery. Also FedEX is much cheaper than UPS, the problem is, FedEX is not as close (15 minutes away) as UPS (vs 2 minutes away). Anyways, the main issue is that my package needs to arrive on time, or I will get a penalty against my payment - as well as a delay in payment. I explain this, every time I drop my package off to UPS. For the most part they get it right, but about 1/10 times the package gets stuck in the store for a day or two and it's delayed a day or two on arrival - making it late. I don't know why they can't just drop the package in for delivery the day I bring it in, and what they are doing with it for an extra two days at the store. So last week I dropped off another package, that was delayed by two days - costing me 10 x's in late fees, versus what I paid to have the package shipped in the first place. So, I call up the local store to get answers - and I get placed on hold for 40 minutes before hanging up and calling back, which they conveniently took their phone off the hook with me so I would get the busy signal when calling back. This is a slimy thing to do, I understand you're busy but people who call in are customers as well. Finally after another 10 minutes of trying to call back they picked up again, and directly put me on hold again for another 30 minutes. Finally I just gave up trying to resolve the issue with this store, and I guess I will now have to drive the extra 10 minutes to get the packages delivered on time, (And to the correct address). It's really to bad, because my families company uses UPS for all their packages - and we pay $10,000+ on some months for shipping (International, heavy and fragile items). Their corporate side has much better customer service, their individual store locations are pretty much hit or miss. It's to bad the ones in Antioch are a complete miss with horrible customer service, idiots who can't do their jobs right, and prices nearly double that of FedEX. read more

A year ago, I gave up trying to fight the package thieves and rented a box at this UPS Store. I love these people. I'm usually in and out in a minute or two because they recognize me and know my box number without having to ask; they just quietly set my packages on the counter with a smile. Apparently, the landlord at the OLD location (2974 Delta Fair Blvd. "Gateway to the Ghetto") instructed his employees to LIE and say this store was closed. They tried to put signs up saying they had MOVED, but the landlord and his minions kept tearing them down. That's what I was told in any event. THEY are NOT CLOSED. The landlord should be ashamed! The truth is that due to all the thuggery, thieving, and mischief-making-miscreants on Delta Fair, UPS got smart and had Jim and Lori move to a better location; one where patrons don't have to worry about people going to "tha sto" next door, getting all wasted on Remy and No-Name gin ,and bothering them for money. They are now located next to Lucky (formerly Savemart) at 3186 Contra Loma Blvd. It's still Antioch ...with all that implies. Yet, it's a world away from the knuckle-dragging crackheads on Delta Fair. At the clean, pleasant, and doper-free location, Jim and company don't need to worry about getting held up and having their equipment stolen and destroyed. This store provides a much-needed alternative to the post office and its' indifferent and disdainful overpaid clerks. You will get out faster going here than waiting in line at the main PO. You will not get as much attitude and rolling of eyes, either. At the UPS ANTIOCH store also get fingerprinting done (a very useful service in Antioch) and notary service as well. If you go at off times, you might even get Jim to tell you an amusing anecdote, joke, or comment about the Oregon Ducks. For the rushed or very lazy, UPS Antioch (the ones that are NOT CLOSED) will pack it up and send it out for you, for an additional charge. You can also get prints and other stuff made. So, Antioch, no longer do you have to go to the heart of the hood to get your shizz shipped. Visit my buddy Jim at the new 3186 Contra Loma Blvd. location... Tell him your best joke. Great storefront operation, Jim has been running this place for probably 10 years now, he knows what he is doing, and he has a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Sometimes the lines can be a little long but they always manage to get you taken care of quickly. They will sell you all the boxes and packing supplies you want, or they can pack it for you. They have a couple of copy machines, black and white or color copies, they also offer printing services they can edit, bind laminate, customize and print presentations, brochures, flyers, menus etc. all with professional results. I have seen a couple of things they have done, always perfect results. The do have 2 notaries that work here and will provide onsite or mobile notary services If you need a passport photo or fingerprinting for a job come here, the prices are competitive and the service is great. They also have mail boxes, I know someone that could never get his packages at home, he was never there for delivery, things kept disappearing off his porch, got a PO box here, loved it. You actually get a real street address; some outfits won't ship to a PO box so this really helps. They will accept and sign for deliveries from any delivery service, If you go to their website you can download a coupon for 3 months free when you sign up for a mailbox Located in the same center as FoodMaxx, they are on the strip that faces Buchanan road, plenty of parking, fairly easy in and out. read more

I called on Sept. 7, 2016 At 10:30AM. The person answered and quickly said "Thanks for calling the UPS store, please hold" and then put the phone down. I waited for 25 minutes while listening to customer conversations for the person to come back to the line, every so often asking if anyone wanted to help me. Jim is wonderful....He knows us by name. The store has moved to the SaveMart shopping center on Contra Loma Blvd... great visibility, great customer service, great parking. I did see where someone complained about their package not getting to the location on time. Unfortunately once it leaves their shop the shipping location has no control over the actual shipper (airplane, train, truck). Nor does he have control over the weather. I am one of those who has torn a new one to the dispatch because of a shipping delay. UPS itself is not always the easiest company to do business with. But they provide a service we all need. I use reviews as a way to determine if I will be using that company and I want to make sure Jim gets a fair shake... I am excited that they have moved to a better safer location, the other shopping center has turned into a ghost town with homeless zombies milling about... Go by and check it out.... read more

These days service is everything. I took two packages to ship for delivery to the same location on Dec 23rd. One was rec'd Fri, Dec 30th, the other hasn't been rec'd yet. Packages get separated. Things get delayed - fine. But somewhere, somehow... someone should know where the package is. When I call the phone number on my receipt (the number to the store I went to to ship my packages) and am given absolutely no help or service - I have an issue. I asked the man at the store if he can help me locate my (possibly lost) package, he told me he didn't think he would be able to: "They're not "UPS", they're really a Mailboxes Etc store with a UPS sigh." Really? Because I gave you my packages and money - you took them and you gave me a receipt that says "UPS Store". I called for help, was given none except that I need to contact the "real" UPS and heard the man say "Geeez!" as he was hanging up the phone. What terrible service and lack of basic phone etiquette! This place is right in the heart of the ghetto area. The store feels like walking into a dessert. No a/c, no vents. I can't believe this is the first ups store I go to where I only see one employee and not dressed in proper ups store or name badge. I mailed a package for my daughter on 9/10. The company has yet to receive it. The man (Jim) told me not to worry it would go out the same day. When I called back to inquire he said "oh that's post office I can't guarantee that". I'm wondering if they are so sloppy with their mail and packages that they just lost it. Going to start off by saying the customer service at the store is horrible. I've only been there a couple times and because the second time I went there my experience was so horrible that I never returning there again and what I mean by customer service is terrible it is that there's only one man working and he was not doing his best to accommodate the other customers in line who just typically needed to drop something off. Long story short they need to hire other people which there was one man working and one man in the back but if you are a smart employee you would know that it's best to work with the customers that are in front of you at that point in time to not be doing other stuff just help your customers. read more

I'm so disgusted with the employee and his wife! Every time I go in to the store it smells like someone is living in there. They have started to charge for anything you/they do! I printed a return label for my Amazon package the guy charged me $3 for using the computer. I've printed a few things from there and was only charged the copies I printed! I don't know if this is something new but any other ups store doesn't charge! Also I taped my package but the bottom started to open up when she went to put it on the scale so she charged me another $1 for her using their tape! Mind you when I asked for a receipt magically it was not working. I will not be returning to this location. Worst customer service I ever received. I called in asking if I could have documents printed today and sent them an email. They told me to call back in an hour. I called back in an hour and they proceeded to place me on hold for 45 minutes while I got to listen to conversations with all of their customers and their laughing and joking in the background. My husband got on the line with corporate while I waited because the papers I sent had personal information on it that I had to make sure one way or another they were able to print it. They then hung up on me before I had a chance to talk. I called back and a very rude lady got on the phone and proceeded to argue with me about all the issues they have and how they don't care that they are busy, yet I could clearly hear them laughing in the background. When I tried to explain my issue the lady kept interrupting me and refused to let me speak. I am speaking with corporate now about this but I doubt it will do much. I have been here before and yes they are quirky in personality so I disregarded the negative reviews and came back. I typically do not post negative reviews as I know we all can have a bad day. But since I was bringing in items for secure print I felt it best to cover myself. I am moving and on a tight deadline so I called a few days before to find out cost. Was told a price for a bankers box and a price per pound. I specifically asked if it had to be a bankers box and was told as long as it was the size of one. I had a small home spot packing box which is a bit bigger than a bankers box and I only filled it half full. I was refused the quote give. And told "well she is t usually at this store, and it must be an actual bankers box" and "I didn't give you the quote" So I was charged about $10 more than I was quoted. I would have taken My box elsewhere but with moving in two days it was here or hall it with me! It is sad that customer service is a lost art. Again I am primarily doing this as I brought in items for confidential shred so if I have any issues with those documents not being shredded correctly I have a record! read more
