Lately I've seen Heidi a couple times who's always nice and today on 4.8.26 I came in to a line of about 5-6 people, the return kiosk "jammed" (it was just out of paper to print labels) and Heidi not only provided efficient service to customers (along with the other two gentlemen working), but her positive attitude seemed to ensure that every customer left with a smile on their face. She engaged with customers, made jokes to lighten the mood, all while providing such terrific service. She absolutely went above and beyond to make what some might feel like a frustrating experience (waiting to get an errand done), a happy and enjoyable one! After being inundated with emails from many different transport companies, some with their own trucks and some just as brokers, I found out that there are some unscrupulous outfits that ask for a deposit, low ball the amount that they say they can ship the vehicle for, and then wait for you to cancel so that they can keep $87.50 of the deposit. This is how Heartland operated and is obviously how they pad their income, by ripping people off for the deposit! It appears the there are many similar places (You can't really call them companies) that use this tactic. I am now forced to fly there to pick up the car, since we could never find a transporter which we could trust. Remember, If they are a broker, stay away!
