These employees know their stuff. They're reliable, they are accurate, they are pretty friendly, too! I've used them a number of times to ship paintings and to notarize a bank paper. The notarization did cost $10 but I just was not aware that before I went in. But they did it in a cheerful and efficient and thorough manner. I just returned a couple books to Amazon and I went in and laid my two books on the counter. The guy picked up the books and moved them and said, "Hey, look you showing disrespect right in front of me!". I had been pulling up the QR code and hasn't seen a sign on the counter that asked customers to not place packages there. I was almost in tears and it was all I could do not to cry. He then said he was joking, but he hasn't been, initially. I'll never go back to the UPS store at Westgate Plaza in Asheville. What a horrible experience. read more

I always use this store when I return merchandise. They are consistently busy. People need to just breathe and be patient and nice or make alternative plans to ship something. Arriving early makes a difference too. I have always been waited on in a timely manner. Several employees do not know how to execute all their services which does make for a longer wait. This store is staffed with very helpful employees, as long as it isn't too busy. Unfortunately, it does get extremely busy, and the wait can be uncomfortably long. It's a small store, with just a few employees, so wait times to send packages can be unpredictable. The store location is also unfortunate. Getting into the shopping center requires a strong knowledge of the area, and requires several U-turns and a round-about trek through a seemingly residential area, depending on the direction you are coming in from; I cannot imagine trying to find my way to this spot, if I was not a local. Four stars because the employees have always been very helpful with me. Honestly, it deserves three stars for location and wait times during peak hours. read more

I would put no stars if I could. Brought my bridesmaid box to this location to have shipped out to my maid of honor. I specifically asked for the box to be shipped with bubble wrap or some kind of protective material. My maid of honor received the box and everything inside of it was broken and ruined.......and NO bubble wrap was anywhere in the box. read more

The lady working there sat me on a computer when I approached her with my USB stick. The computer was not able to print any documents, she could not help but offered to ask the computer guy next door to come over. I did not want to wait for this and left. At other locations they try from their computer if something doesn't work out I wonder why that doesn't happen here? Customer service sucks , maybe the employees should be educated about what possibilities they have on a computer or the machines should be checked ? Not coming back read more

Ridiculous. I got an inheritance from my grandma (who created it before I was married) and it included my maiden name and my married name. I needed to get it notarized. Old lady on 12/08 wouldn't accept it because my driver license only had my married name. Who puts a maiden name on their drivers license??? So frustrating and ridiculous. A manager needs to speak to her about having some common sense about situations like this. EDIT: I went the next day to a govt notary and she had no problem taking my license, even rolling her eyes when I told her my experience at this store. read more

Oh. My. Golly. I am incredibly annoyed that Amazon requires me to go directly to the ups shipping center to return packages. And I'm even more annoyed that this particular store is the closest one to my home. I don't think I have ever made it in and out of this store in less than 15 minutes. Today I went in shortly after 5:00 pm and didn't leave until after 5:45. Super long line and a lot of customers during the holiday season right? Wrong. There were two women working. Each helping a customer when I walked in. There was one male customer in line ahead of me. About 10 minutes of waiting, and the guy in front of me gave up. He set his boxes on the counter and walked out. Another 10 minutes and the line was going out the door. But these women were still on the same customer they were helping when I walked in 20 minutes prior. I watched her slowly tape up a 6x6 box before the customer decided she no longer wanted the box and went with the envelope she initially walked in with. One might think it was the customer's outrageous demands that were holding every thing up. Nope. Not even close. They were just really, really, sloooooooooow doing their jobs as though they were intentionally trying to give the customers in line anxiety. Another 5 minutes and FINALLY she's done with the girl ahead of me. I get to the counter, scan my Amazon barcode, then walk out. Less than a minute. But I had absolutely NO CHOICE but to wait in line. When I was walking out, the other woman was STILL helping the same guy she was helping when I walked in. Next time I might drive to the ups location off Merrimon. It's further away but might be worth it to not have to wait 30+ minutes. read more

My experience with this UPS location was abysmal. When I stepped to the counter the employee, female with long black hair, accepted my Amazon return. She realized I was not completely prepared, she left my package on the scale. With no word of service or assistance she turned and walked away to a customer that came in behind me. The next employee came to the counter and stood there looking out the window. I had to ask him if I could finish my transaction. I know this will be lost in the ether, just like the UPS customer service department. read more

They do superb pack n ship in case you dont have time to do it yourself. Fast easy checkout too. You can drop off if your boxes are ready to go. Convient parking in the shopping center. read more

Worst customer service. Instead of a friendly hello the male employee looked up when I walked in and glared at me like I was some kind of criminal. I waited with one customer before me as the clerks assisted with painfully slow speed. When I was finally assisted I asked for a small piece of tape from the roll that was sitting on the counter for my already sealed packed. I needed less than 2 inches. The clerk told me in a very rude manner that I would have to buy a large, expensive roll of tape. At that point I just left and took my package to a different delivery service. I've been using this UPS store for a long time and everytime the staff is pleasant, helpful and courteous. In the busiest of times they don't lose their cool and are always respectful. I went to this location to return some Amazon packages and mentioned I had never done it, what were the processes that I needed to follow. I was met with I don't know, I would never shop on Amazon. Then when one of the boxes wasn't taped which Amazon's policy is it doesn't even need a box they said they were going to charge me $2.50 in that without tape they do not think that I would get a refund because it would never arrive back at Amazon. Fast forward I call Amazon and they state that the two items that they said I would be lucky to get a refund on we're never scanned at the store location and they claim that they scanned them now I have to wait for Amazon's resolution. I usually have not had to mail or ship packages, but the last couple of months I have gone to the UPS Store at Westgate #6142. And each time there I received nothing but friendly and kind and very helpful advice for shipping my packages. The two ladies that I have dealt with at this store have always been friendly and I do appreciate that in this day and time of grumpy customer service...They look you in the eye and actually acknowledge you standing there, which is more than I can say for some businesses. They do not make you feel like YOU are the inconvenience! Have never received grumpy attitudes at this location and I highly recommend this store! read more
