I'm a Graphic/Web Designer, and I have a few clients in the Asheville area. I live in California; however, I have some clients in Asheville who need local printing done. Printville produced many of the printed materials for a gorgeous wedding a few years ago (some planned ahead of time, and others were last minute jobs they saved us on since USPS missed delivery of some shipped materials). I've also sent my business clients there to produce projects that I've designed for them. I can't express how impressed I have been working with Printville (especially the Biltmore Park location). They always exceed my expectations on how quickly they are able to get what we need done. I used to be the GM of a 3 location print chain, and also the store manager of a FedEx Kinko's Signs & Graphics national print hub. I know the ins & outs of print production and some of the attention to detail, finishing, and challenges with production that some jobs require. Whenever I explain the details, all the reps and Store Manager knows exactly what I'm talking about. From the very start they were extremely helpful and friendly. Helping me to learn along the way and making sure each order was fulfilled properly. For example- if the files I sent them werent the right format, or needed to be cropped/adjusted, or something along those lines, they would explain it to be clearly and what I could do on my side. (The online pickup portal and confirmation email said pickup would be local and never mentioned it being sent somewhere else.) I talked to multiple employees over several days to correct this issue as I needed the flyers before going out of town for an expo. They were all very communicative and so kind and helpful! Corporate could not get the flyers sent to the local store in time so they shipped it to the location of the expo which was in a different state all together. Perfect example of stuff happens and how we handle it makes the difference. Because when I gave him my package and answered all his questions. He told me he couldn't send it through unless I called a number to have it verified or something. But the person I talked to on the phone couldn't help me because they needed a tracking number. So I told him to go ahead and send everything through because that's what they told me. Once everything went through, they were going to charge me $800-$1000 just to ship out a small package!!!! Which is absolutely absurd!!! Now, I've used FedEx to ship packages to Argentina before, but I was at most charged no more than $80-$100, so where in the Heavens did that big of a charge come from!? I'm trying not to be too mad at him because chances are, he was probably new, and may have typed in some wrong information somewhere that boosted the rate that high. But I feel like I drove 30 minutes for nothing and waste gas on this. But I will never be returning to this building ever again.
