I come to this UPS location almost every weekday to drop off packages for my job. Every time I walk in the door, they greet me with a smile and help me quickly and in the most friendly manner. There are times when I've come during the mid-afternoon rush and they always accommodate myself and others as fast as they can and with a smile. Probably fine for shipping, but don't use them for printing. They botched my printing job and then handed it to me like everything was fine two days later--I showed the prints to several of people and everyone was shocked. The people working there are nice, but they don't have the equipment or expertise for professional printing. *uptade, changed from 1 star to three. Shruti at UPS apologized profusely about the print job and gave me a full refund, including a reimbursement for the materials I had to buy to reprint. If you have textured paper, or anything beyond standard materials, I still wouldn't necessarily recommend them, but if you have something simple I'm sure they'll be able to handle it. I might suggest getting a proof before getting a bulk order printed. read more

The crew here is always super helpful anytime I've come in with shipping, notary or Lifescan needs. It is never crowded and I notice that the staff are generally very patient with their customers. Recently, I had to ship a very heavy and delicate item across the country and Aashu was great. He helped with packaging it up and making sure it got to its destination in the timeframe I needed. A couple years ago we were looking to setup a local company mailbox. All the ones at the Burlingame and San Mateo Post Offices were accounted for; I happened upon this UPS location and I'm SO very grateful for it. I'm there every two or three days and am always greeted with a warm welcome and wonderful customer service. When something becomes part of your daily routine, things like that make all the difference. I have never left a bad review! EVER!!! I was talking to my brother tonight... he didn't know that 3 weeks ago I sent him a picture. Before I caught my flight back home I stopped at this UPS. This is the closest UPS car SFO. Do Go here!!!! ... I realized I paid through the nose when I took the same picture and UPS'ed from home for $10 less...But the problem is.... my brother in Sausalito never receive picture. This pisses me off.... The folks here handle themselves with a professionalism which is certainly a credit to the staff, their management and the owners. I would even go so far as to say that I have consistently found the standard of service here to be unusually good. Easy store to visit. All my drop-offs get to their destination in timely manners, and everything is still in tact which I appreciate. This place is a disaster! Their notary public, (it was a woman, Shruti I believe her name is?) She doesn't know how to do her job! The woman claims to be the manager but has the worst customer service skills of any1 I have ever seen. I went there this morning to have a paper notarized, as I'm waiting for my new ID to arrive because the old one expired I took my green card and passport as a form of ID. First of all, she told me that they don't accept credit cards for notarizing papers, only cash... that was odd but whatever. Then I showed her my ID & she says that a green card & a foreign passport are not valid forms of ID. I laughed & told her that they are federal forms of identification with your photo & name and DOB so yes the are valid IDs. Does that sound insane enough? Oh there's more! She then tells me that I need to get two people to come in & say that I am who I claim to be & that valid IDs are only your state issued IDs, nothing else counts! If I could give this Store 0 stars I would! I am never going back there. I went to another UPS store & told the person there my experience & the response I got? "Oh yes! I am sorry for your experience. We know exactly who you're talking about & we get a lot of customers in here who say the same & complain about their ridiculous prices and their poor customer service skills." Do yourself a favor & stay away from this place. It's nothing but headaches & stress & false information! A family member went there the other day & when he was paying he pulled a hundred dollars in $20 bills from his pocket, she looks at him and says "Oh wow you have a lot of money." Made him feel weird enough to not go there anymore. I wish I'd listened to him when he said to not go there. Mistake made, lesson learned! In regards to the reply from the person at the store about my green card & passport not being a valid form of ID, that is NOT correct! I was NOT in possession of my green card only. Your notary told me BOTH my green card & foreign passport were not acceptable forms of identification. A passport & a green card are IDs that are issued by the federal government. They have your picture, name & date of birth on them so therefore, they ARE acceptable as identification. I use my green card for all purposes. DMV, Social security office, buying alcohol, notarizing papers at other places, & have NEVER had anyone tell me it isn't a valid ID. I went to another UPS store & had the paper notarized with no problems as I have done many times before. The notary at that other UPS store showed me the book where it says that passports ARE a form of ID & so are green cards (she would've had to select "other" for what ID I used). I also called multiple other notaries to inform myself & found out that both green card & passport (no matter what country issued it), can indeed be used as a form of identification. When I pointed that out to her she said "well, this is a new law." LOL! I've attached a pic to their photos from the nationalnotary.org so every1 can see that I am correct! Hopefully it doesn't get removed ;) The problem wasn't ONLY that she doesn't know what documents are acceptable for a paper to be notarized, the problem was her demeanor and lack of respect for her customers. At any rate, I am not the only customer who is unhappy with the service provided and am another customer lost. I wonder how many times customers will be ignored before you realize, without happy customers, a business is nothing. Keep up the good work read more

When I last visited to drop off an Amazon package, Smriti was really efficient in helping me.

I had a very long day at work and was late to an appointment so I was having a really rough day. I was rushing to find a UPS drop off and found that the store was open till 6:30 PM. Once I arrived I explained that my home printer was out of ink and asked for assistance in printing my labels from my phone. They greeted me with a smile and informed me that I can either print it myself or one of the computers or I could have them printed for me. I opted to ask for assistance in printing the label. They were so very patient and I could not have asked for more...professional service with a smile even as they were closing shop!Best UPS ever! read more

Walked in here because I was on my way to the post office and had to return some textbooks via UPS. I didn't bother to tape the mailing label because at the UPS store I usually go to (on Alameda, in Belmont) they put it in the plastic for me for FREE. As soon as I walked in, I didn't get a hello & right away she was like "we usually charge for the plastic to put this in, next time tape it on first". If she tried to charge me for it, I would've walked away with my package & go to my regular store. But instead she said "but this time I won't charge you" well geez thanks! Only after being treated poorly. Will continue to take my UPS packages to the other store where they are nicer to the customers. read more

Shruti immediately responded with a yes and had both medium and large boxes ready within the hour for my collection.
