I made an appointment over a week ago with this facility to get a live scan fingerprinting done. By the time I got there and waited in line and got to the front, I was told that they no longer do live scan fingerprinting. So why was I able to make an appointment? The lady told me that the online system is still allowing people to make appointments but they don't do it anymore. Why the hell is that system still in place when the service is no longer available? This was very misleading and caused me to scramble to find another appointment elsewhere. Very disappointed. read more

I have been coming to this store for years. Abe and his staff, especially Maverick - are always kind, professional and respectful to their customers. I actually live out of the direct area of this location now, with another store closer to me for this type of service, but continue to come to this store to give them my business. Through the years, I have seen irate and grouchy customers, possibly having a bad day for whatever reason, being unkind and even downright inappropriate to the Abe and/or his staff, and have NEVER seen them handle anyone with anything other than grace, and professional courtesy. Abe and his staff go out of their way to greet customers when they arrive. We chose the location for my business mailbox because of convenience. We stay because of the variety of services: Notary, Printing, Package Shipping (UPS or Parcel Post), package packing. At a time in our country when businesses are aloof and service is less than stellar, this reminds us of how a little humanity goes a long way. Carlsbad UPS store 0005 on El Camino Real has the best customer service. Bethany and Shane are constantly smiling and it makes me wonder what they are up to! Had work across the street at 930 am on a Saturday and stopped by this ups store before. The sign said they opened at 9 am on Saturdays and they did just that. Gentleman who seemed to have owned it was super nice and I told him I was running late for work so he offered to take my box and tape it with the shipping label for me. He took care of me in less than 30 seconds, talk about service! Will def make this my home ups store. read more

I dont know if the management has changed hands but I have used this store for years. up until a couple of months ago employees have left and service has bottomed out. long lines for simple processes etc. a year ago I gave them a 5star rating because they were stupendous during the pandemic and beyond, but no longer. don't know what happened but the owner needs to take a hard look at their store. read more

When I asked about their mask policy, she was EXTREMELY rude, and refused to tell me their policy and suggested I speak with corporate. When I asked if she, or anyone else in her store wears one, she hung up. BTW, California has a current mask mandate. Next stop? Complaint to Dept of Public Health. read more

Best UPS store in town. Abe is always smiling, friendly, and offers prompt service. His prices beat any UPS Store in town and his customer service is second best to none. I've been visiting frequently, at least twice a week, and today I was in a rush, A HUGE RUSH and unable to email what I needed to him to print in advance. Instead of saying sorry can't help, he offered the customer service computer to print, free of service for the computer use. Other UPS store are, rude, cold, and not pleasant. Went in today to see what all the fuss was about. I was treated well by the owner. You know, the bald one everyone keeps talking about? He was cool, started with come good chatting and then got my package out. Nothing to fuss about. Basically, come customers are just stupid though. I mean that one review where someone says the Shipping was $3 instead of $2 and that they wouldn't "honor" the price. That was lame, UPS controls the Shipping prices not the people that work there. And if you can't pay $1 more to ship something maybe you shouldn't even be shipping at all. As for the person saying he would of store the package, that's pretty dumb as well. Bet there wasn't anything valuable in there anyways. Overall, I'll ship here again im cool with it. read more

I visited the UPS Store at 2604 B El Camino Real in Carlsbad on October 23rd 2010 to send a small time-sensitive gift to a friend in Maryland. It needed to reach its destination by November 1st or the value of the gift would be lost. I suggested changing the method of shipping but when speaking to the agents there, they assured me that by using UPS Ground, the parcel would definitely make it by November 1st, and would most likely there by October 29th. After a few days, I started tracking the package's progress online and was disturbed by what I saw. Firstly, the parcel didn't leave the UPS store for over 48 hours, and it was only 70 miles away in Cerritos a day after that. Everyday I would check its progress and the status remained unchanged - Arrived in Cerritos. Arrived in Cerritos. Arrived in Cerritos. Arrived in Cerritos. After the weekend, I was shocked and angered that the status still remained unchanged and that me effort to buy and ship this time-sensitive gift was a grand waste of time. I called UPS and was told that since it hasn't received a scan in days, this appears to be a lost parcel and that the store of origin had to initiate an investigation. I called the UPS Store in Carlsbad at 8:03 AM this morning and told them of my predicament, gave them any and all information and explained how if this package doesn't reach its destination by COB Monday, then it was all in vain and I wasted money on, not only the shipping costs, but the gift as well. The agent assured me that he would explain this to the manager and that I would get a call back at work. Later that day at 2:35 - six and a half hours later - I decided to call the store again to see what, if any progress had been made. I was told that they hadn't found the time to call UPS on my behalf. When I asked why in six and a half hours couldn't they find the time to assist me with my issue I was told that "it's not a high priority for them." When I suggested that they ought to make their (former) customers their priority, she said "I never said that our customers concerns are not important" but she did in so, so many ways. What has Brown done for me lately? I sit here with a stale tracking information of my package, no known whereabouts of my gift, the indifference of the Carlsbad UPS Store to assist me and a very disappointed person in Maryland with no gift. They charged me just over 39 cents a page to print out 2 black and white documents! Outrageous! Don't go there for printing. Because it was only a total of 8 pages, costing $3.13, I wasn't paying close attention and just paid the $3.13. It wasn't until I got home that I thought "Wait a minute. That seems high for just 8 pages.", and I calculated the cost per page. Ridiculous! read more

I am an Acupuncturist whose office is located at 3150 El Camino Real (Carlsbad, Ca). I like to support local businesses when possible . This UPS store location is my go-to place for making copies and sending packages. Abe, the owner, was hard at work when I walked in to make 100 double-sided treatment consent forms. He quickly got my job started and another customer walked in needing something to be notarized. Abe was efficient, professional, and cheerful while helping both of us. Despite the copy machine's hiccups (I think the humidity in the air was impacting the Xerox paper), Abe remained calm and reassuring. Before too long, my job was done and three others were helped along the way. To be clear, this is a small, local shoppe that focuses on a few things: PO Boxes, copies, shipping, and greeting cards. While it is not fancy, Abe and his staff are the behind-the- scenes team upon which I rely to run my successful Chinese Medicine practice. He was turning in AT&T equipment and did not have his AT&T account number with him in order to receive credit for turning in the equipment to be shipped to AT&T.
