This UPS store is awesome! I just got home from there and had to write this review to express my gratitude toward Samantha and Andrew's help with printing my invitations. They were watercolor heavy card stock, there was no way I could've run it through my printer at home without it getting jammed nor do I have a laser jet printer to get that nice color - Samantha was so patient to run my invites through, eventually one by one since some were too saturated and the printer wasn't picking it up. Not only that, Andrew was amazing - he was able to cut all my paper to 5x7. It was a challenge since my papers were all different sizes to begin with. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't know what to do or how to fix all these problems. I'm extremely grateful to have found out about this UPS store from a friend. I use this place a lot. It's pretty good. It's UPS. Probably tough to get a five star review and also tough to get a three star review. They're just your basic UPS that gets the job done. The streets all around them are being ripped apart, so good on the employees for making it in everyday. At least every day I go there, so whatever. They're cool. Go mail a box or two. read more

After being a loyal customer to this location and a UPS My Choice customer, I was extremely disappointed in their policy over a mishandled package. I attempted to send a birthday present to my father in Atlanta and after it did not arrive in time, it show up back at our house in Charlotte. I was told that their policy is to resend it or to receive a credit and I could send it through another provider. It may seem extreme to complain, when I could just resend it for free, but when a company fails to perform their primary service, I feel that they should make things right with the customer. This means going beyond offering the same service you failed to perform in the first place. Having lost faith that this location can perform a core competency and their questionable customer service, for the foreseeable future, I will be taking my business elsewhere and canceling my UPS account. read more

Eek... I went in to ship a package on Dec. 21st for Dec. 24th delivery. Yeah... I know... A bit last minute but still within the delivery windows. I took a 5.5 lb package to UPS and asked for a quote. The man working the counter told me it would $131 to ship to package and an additional $4.95 for packaging. I expressed surprise at the amount and he curtly added "that must be the price of a one-way plane ticket." Well... actually... that's pretty close. I said thank you and took my package to the Post Office, where they shipped it for $22 and it was delivered on the 24th. read more

The absolute best customer service I have ever experienced. Even if there is another shipping facility closer to me, I drive to this one because I know my experience will be quick with no errors. I have shipped numerous Zappos boxes here and the staff is always friendly, cheerful, and will even tape my boxes for me. I also printed out documents and a staff member was incredibly helpful with walking me through the process and assisting me. Gold-star service for sure. read more

After a frustrating and unsuccessful experience at the Derita Post Office, I went to the UPS store to have some items boxed and shipped. There was a nice young lady at the counter, as well as a man. I think that Renn is his name. They saw that I was "put out" with the post office, to say the least. They not only gave me a free box, but found an affordable shipping rate for me without too much of a delivery delay. Renn also gave me coupons for my next visit. There are bad UPS stores and this is not one of them. I've used this location frequently and while they are not always the most polite folks in the neighborhood, they: a) get the job done, b) recommend options for best service (time vs cost for delivery), c) discuss other services, like 3D printing, which might be of interest but don't dwell on them so much that you just want to leave. Terrible Customer Service! I had a package that had to be shipped to Canada by October 31st so I went online to UPS.com and got a rate quote. It said if I shipped it by October 26th via UPS standard that it would "Delivered by end of day Tuesday October 31st GUARANTEED" and would cost $25. I went to this UPS store on October 26th and was told that I was mistaken and that the website says that is is "guaranteed to reach customs by the 31st" but not be delivered by the 31st. Instead, I would have to pay over $100 for expedited service for it to arrive in time. I had no choice but to pay it bc I had to have the package there by the 31st and I assumed I must have been mistaken somehow about the website so I went ahead and paid $102. I then got home and saw that the website INDEED says "guaranteed" to be delivered by the 31st. I called the UPS customer service # and explained my problem, was transferred to the international dept, and explained it all over again, and was told that since my package arrived before the 31st and would have arrived by the 31st with standard UPS that I should call the UPS store and they would reimburse me for the $75 difference. I then called the UPS store and spoke with a rude female manager who literally laughed at me when I told her that UPS customer service said that the store should refund me the difference and said "no, thats not how things work". I tried to explain the situation to her which was very difficult since she kept interrupting me and speaking over me. Finally, she said she would contact UPS international herself and call me back. I thanked her and waited. She called back 4 hours later and said she spoke with the owner and that they would not reimburse me. She basically told me that the website is wrong and that they are not responsible for the UPS website being incorrect or for what UPS international told me bc they are a franchise and separate from UPS corporate. So basically UPS corporate points their finger at the UPS store and the store points their finger at corporate and neither one will help you. I wasted over an hour today speaking with UPS customer Service, UPS international, and this local UPS store twice and got NOWHERE. I am a small business owner and time is money. I sort of understand if the website is wrong and it is causing problems for the store but that doesn't excuse the manager's arrogant attitude and lousy disposition. I would never dream of providing such horrible customer service to my customers. I deal with customers in my business every day and I always do everything I can to help them and am as nice as possible. She was condescending and unapologetic from the minute she picked up the phone which was just weird. I told her since neither UPS corporate nor the UPS store could help me and are just pointing fingers at each other that I will go to FEDEX next time and her response was "Okay, thats fine". Shockingly poor customer service.. Oh well, FEDEX it is! read more
