Limited store hours due to moving and there is no mention of limited hours on the UPS website. Today is August 16th but the store is still in operation until September 28th. Why limited hours? I had a package shipped to the UPS store for pickup which arrived today (Saturday) delivered at 2:47pm and ready for pickup at 3:14pm. I looked up the hours beforehand and it said it closed at 5pm. I went to the location and I was one of many who arrived and found the door locked before the 5pm closing time to find temporary hours listed. How many people added a stop, or left home for a single trip to this UPS store between 3pm to 5pm to find a locked door which in turn wasted many people's time? If I had known this I would have made a different delivery choice. This UPS location is closed Sunday so I will now have to wait until Monday to pick up my package. I have attached a picture of the new hours for others, but for common courtesy, the owner should update UPS online hours to avoid the wasted time of their customers. read more

The store on East Avenue has seen its ups and downs since I began using it in 2016. The current crew is one of the best I have seen in that time. SADLY, I AM LEARNING THAT THE STORES BELONGING TO THIS FRANCHISE ARE ALL UNDERMINING THEIR CURRENT EMPLOYEES BY YANKING BENEFITS OUT FROM UNDER THEM. My question to the owners is, how do you think you are going to continue to function with the kind of employees you're going to get when you don't offer competitive benefits and pay??? In the current economic climate, good help truly is hard to find. And you get what you pay for. I for one am not looking forward to dealing with a store who isn't willing to pay for decent employees and won't keep the good employees they have by giving them the benefits that they need in life today. I know it's busy. I know people are rude and entitled. Still I did not deserve to be treated that way. I was the guy with the candle. I never get to spend time with my family, because we live in different places. My brother has fought off cancer and had a tree crush his house. I didn't even get to send the things, because you were so nasty and pushy. I just didn't want to hold up the line, even tho I patiently waited for the Karen and her guy in front of me. That took just plenty of time and had all of us waiting. If this is how you want to treat people on the holidays, maybe you should consider a different industry. This might not be your "calling". I usually go to their other location on Mangrove. I just needed to make a couple of copies. . I needed to enlarge it a bit. . I inadvertently changed the # of copies and a bunch of copies started coming out. It was an honest mistake. The cashier (Dee) tried to make me pay for those unwanted copies. She got quite snotty. . TIP: Last mail pick up is late in the day! Woohoo! My mail will go out today past 4pm :) #HappyCamper Ran in super fast to drop off a piece of mail and the lady working the desk greeted me with a huge welcoming smile! I LOVE that! I was really stressed that I had missed the last mail pick up for the day however, she reassured me that the mail carrier hadn't been there yet. According to my USPS app, I thought the last pick up was 4pm but! Lucky me, the mailman was late that day :) The store was neat and orderly and most importantly, the first thing I saw when I walked in was a big 'ol shmile. Go here if you need to brighten up your day or even, send a piece of mail out. I'm sure they have many other services here but this review was for the customer service I experienced. The woman in charge was extremely rude, impatient, and unprofessional. I picked up a package from the store which I had shipped there from newegg.com, a large electronics retailer. I selected the UPS drop-off option because I was concerned with the possibility of the package being stolen off of my doorstep. I was informed upon arriving at the store that I would have to pay a $10 fee for letting the package sit there in this store for all of half an hour. The woman lectured me saying that she had no way of knowing the package was going to be there. nowhere either on the UPS website or on the Newegg website was I warned that there would be any charge associated with picking up the package. So it was completely understandable that I would be surprised upon being asked to pay a fee. However, this woman talked to me like I was stupid for not knowing that there would be a charge for picking up the package. It was just shocking to me how unpleasant she was over such a minor misunderstanding when she could have just as easily been nice and explained what happened while being courteous and patient. It's not even about the money, it's the way that she acted & the way that she talked down to me. I don't expect everybody to be all smiles all the time, but this woman had such a massive frown on her face, it was unbelievable. She acted like I was creating a huge headache for her even as she was charging ME money. Then after lecturing me like a misbehaving child, she proceeded to try to sell me the UPS subscription. Way to warm up the customer... no effing way I was going to that! It was a very negative experience and I will never be returning to this store ever again. Again, it's not about the money. I just refuse to work with people who act like insufferable jerks. read more

Fantastically great UPS and mailbox store. I've had a mailbox at this location for over 20 years because they are hands down the best. Very friendly staff that is super helpful, greets you by name, and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Steller Customer Service. I had come in on 6-13-14 to have something re-done that I had created there two years prior. Ryan tried to find the image with no success, so was going to take my business elsewhere. There was another employee there that was helping other customers: she flagged me down on my way out and asked to see the image. Her name was Tammi- she told me to please leave her with the information; and she would see what she could do. Tammi then, took my information and phone number while still servicing other customers! A few hours later Tammi called me, they were unsuccessful in retrieving the information, but she called on one of their other locations in Chico and that staff member was able to create a new updated image, she stated they would have it for my by the end of the work day! I got a call at about 5:00 PM (after they were closed) Tammi had informed me that it was almost done! She and this employee (from the other location) stayed after hours to complete my order- Best customer service since we've been in Chico. Went above and beyond for great customer service to keep my business! Keep up the outstanding job!! read more

This UPS Store location is rarely very crowded. In several dozen visits, I've never had more than a couple people ahead of me in line. There's never been a line at all if I come mid-morning or mid-afternoon. The staff is friendly, prompt, and articulate. They come to recognize regulars so you don't have to waste a lot of time with ID when paying, and they remember your preferences. The location is very convenient, next to a salon, a few restaurants, and Safeway. You can usually park 15 feet from the door, which is convenient if you have a large number of items, or a heavy item. They accept shipments up to 150lb at this location. They will also accept US Post drop offs if you use something like PayPal's option to print postage for eBay shipments. If you let them do the packing, the fees are a little high. This seems common in all but the small ma and pa shipping shops. The only downside is that they haven't once asked about UPS' "green" carbon offset program. They apply this add-on cost to every shipment, but according to UPS' corporate site this is supposed to be an opt-in charge. When I asked, this store didn't have any literature detailing what I'm paying for. The majority of these programs use very questionable accounting where only a small share of the money goes to the stated purpose. Often, more goes to big paychecks or political action committees than goes to reforestation. As such, it would be nice to be given the choice, or for them to offer more information about what otherwise looks like an opt-out price hike. read more

I made an appointment as my schedule is very tight. I showed up and they were doing a great job of following CDC guidelines. I explained I had an appointment for the notary. A woman came out and said, I've got other stuff to do, I don't have time for this. I asked "doesn't an appointment mean something "? She was very snarky and basically told us to wait. 20 minutes later she came out and looked at our domestic partnership documents and snidely said "what is this?!" I don't know how to do this. She stomped off and apparently made some phone calls. She came back and continued to be very rude. This was a special occasion for my partner and I and she ruined it. Today I had the best customer service here! Bee was so helpful and went above and beyond to get my order of prints done in short notice. When they came out blurry from my template that I had used at home she made some on her own for me and showed me when we came in today. All I wanted to do was drop off my package and get a receipt. The lady/girl was on the phone with a customer for 10 min and I was just waiting and waiting. I forgot to ask what her name was. But this is not acceptable. UPS needs better training for their employees. I had to wait 15 minutes just for a receipt!!!! Not happy at all. I don't know why she couldn't talk to the customer or ask the customer to hold for one minute to take my package. read more

One star only because zero is not an option. Trying to ensure Christmas gifts were received before Christmas the clerk suggested 2nd day option. Guess what they didn't arrive in time! When I went back to inquire I was told it was because the wrong option was chosen. Tammy was extremely rude when trying to defend a transaction she wasn't even there for. She became rude and accusatory. Horrendous customer service and a huge damper for my family's Christmas Day. Whoever this Tammy person is should never be allowed to work with the public. Worst customer service. Showed up with 1 package. Now standing in line as others are helped before us. Our package got half way through the packing process before we were pushed aside.
