ABBA IS THE UPS QUEEN--HAIL ABBA!! Brought in my dehumidifier to exchange back to Amazon...Anyone else would not have been bothered.. NOT ABBA;-)) She went the extra mile & got the dolly helped me lift it from the back of my high SUV.. loaded it.. walked it all the way around to the walk up sidewalk & into their store.. then she helped me properly pack it truth is: She did all the work... and properly .. and lovingly. Worst customer service ever! It seems that the egos of some employees and manager get in the way of doing a decent job! Instead of simply helping, I was sent away just asking that a simple email be sent not only to myself, but to an additional address. I was also sent away on another occasion asking that an email be sent but it was too small for the machine. Instead of simply making a copy (for which I was willing to pay) they sent me away! I was told their way is the best way for ALL customers. They need an ego check! read more

Do not come here unless you want to be poorly treated and made to feel stupid. I came in today, just like I have in the past, with my box packaged. At every single UPS store I have been to, I just give them my label and they put it in a sleeve and give me my receipt EVEN AT THIS ONE. Except not today. As soon as I came in, this older Asian man started giving me an attitude telling me I needed to cut my label and tape it. I explained to him that I've been doing this for years and each time they always use the label sleeve. He said this was only for overnight shipment, which I know is false because - one, they've used it on a few regular shipments here before and two, they use them at every other UPS store I go to. He begins telling me I need to follow direction over and over again and says he will lose business if every customer is like me. I then explained to him that this is the way I've done it before, even here and I've never had a problem. He proceeded to keep making me feel dumb saying I can't read directions. Literally around the same time another man came in, did the EXACT SAME THING I DID, gave the lady the label JUST LIKE I DID, she didn't ask any questions or make any comments she just taped it up and was pleasant with him. Now I'm feeling discriminated because he was white and I'm Hispanic and my treatment was the complete opposite. I let him know next time I will go to another location and he got my boxes and gave them back to me and said "ok go to another location." I told him I was already there but I will be going to another location next time and he said, "yes please do." The management here obviously does not care about customer service or keeping customers. I ship out multiple things DAILY. They just lost my business. This is the closest place to me but now I'd rather drive a few miles more and give my business to someone else. read more

We use the store for our mail drop. Tired of porch pirates. Since we travel a lot it's nice to know our packages and mail are held safely until our return. Wade and his crew great us by name and are always quick and attentive. Sometimes patience is the key as customers in the area can be a bit snooty thinking they're sooooo entitled! read more

Do not go here!! I sent my niece a package from here and UPS lost it! I went back in three times to get my $100.00 insurance claim taken care of. They never followed up and here I am 6 months later with the issue unresolved! I have spoken to other people that told me they got their insurance refund within a month! These people are the worst and don't care about the customer!!!! read more

This location has recently acquired new owners, Kudos to them for updating the store and systems. I had a rather complicated shipment overseas and Wade the new owner handled it with ease and left me stress free. Trust is a huge deal when sending pkgs to my family in Scotland. Very abrupt and unfriendly when we walked in. All of my return items were taped and ready to go except one that required ONE extra piece of tape. The woman informed us that the current state of that package wasn't acceptable and that they don't make any money off of that so we can't do that. Then proceeded to overhear the man at the counter arguing with a customer who was saying that he had to pay $1 for an amazon shipping label (which are supposed to be free). The UPS guy was extremely rude and condescending when the customer was simply trying to explain he's never had to pay for an amazon shipping label. The people who owned this UPS before were SO much nicer and better at their jobs. read more

Visited this store for the first and last time the other day. I normally go to the tiny parking lot store in Dana Point, where everyone is terrific. This day, I was headed the other way and decided to take my Amazon returns to this store in Monarch Bay Plaza. It's funny, I didn't even know the name of the guy who met me at the door, but thanks to all the other one star reviews, I do now. I'm pretty sure I had the unpleasant honor of meeting Wade. Because I had been saving up my returns, I had quite a few. I counted myself lucky to have found a grocery cart near my car and loaded it up with my boxes. As I approached the door, a man, whom I now assume was Wade, opened the door and announced to me, without even a hello, that Amazon didn't pay them to help customers bring in boxes. I asked if I could bring in the cart and he said no. He told me I had to bring each box in. Now, my spine is fused from my S1 to my T10 and I am not allowed to carry heavy boxes. One box was heavy and I did get it out of my car and into the cart. As I'm carrying in the boxes I told him I had had back surgery and offered to show him my scar as proof. I wish I could give this place a zero, but one time it was OK. Being the only place still open at 6 PM that I can actually get to straight from work happens to be this place. Today, I had medications that I needed to ship ASAP. I picked them up from drugstore hen on to UPS, arriving at 5:45. I'm thinking "Oh good!" As I walk up to the door carrying two boxes to mail, the guy is locking up early! He says he has an appointment to get to. I wasn't aware this was something employees could just do. Prices of boxes and shipping materials are not published and are outrageously priced. DO NOT have them pack your stuff before a full price disclosure or you'll regret it. Save yourself the grief and drive two minutes down the road to the Dana Point location. Same box $20 cheaper!!!!!! To bad UPS corporate will have so little oversight on how poorly these small-time franchises are managed. I had to ship some family heirlooms back home to North Carolina shortly after Christmas. Several items required special care including an antique mantel clock and artwork. Although it was a very busy time for the store, the people who assisted me were very friendly. They did an exceptional job carefully packaging the items.
