Our business had to create an emergency shipment on a Saturday going out to schools for Monday morning delivery. These were all next day air early shipments. Normally I could schedule a pick up, however due to time limitations a scheduled pick up was not available. We had about 100 next day air packages. I sent my team to the nearest UPS store, but they were turned away because their small facility could not hand our large volume. Luckily my team found the Quebec location where Mark and Q were happy to assist. They took all our packages. My team said that Mark and Q said they would always take our packages. I was in your UPS store at 3700 North Quebec St. and the clerk that helped me was Devine. I just want to commend you on hiring such an excellent employee. He was both courteous and helpful, even saw me struggling to get the box into your store and came out of the store to help me. There were other clerks standing and watching me struggle with the box, but they didn't attempt to help me get the door open. I had a good experience at this store (#4487). They clearly had staffed up for the holidays, and I hardly had to wait. I appreciated the service that Devine gave me. Wasn't sure whether UPS would cost a lot more than USPS, but I felt the $10 I paid to ship my package was well worth avoiding the wait at the post office. The employees at the UPS were able to help me figure out how to deal with Amazon and then get it sorted out so I didn't have to travel to another location for my return. Location is great for me; but I'm not allowed to use our company UPS Account Number at this location...I asked why and they said because of fraud. Great so I look like some one who would commit fraud, thanks for the compliment. I really wanted an explanation and asked why does our company have a UPS account number that we have had for probably 10 or longer year...he couldn't answer the question. I know it's not this guys fault that they don't except the UPS Account Numbers anymore but I think corporate should send out a memo to all the stores for the reason other than just saying fraud. Then probably nothing to do with account numbers would every be used again if that is the only reason not to except account numbers. P.S. They gladly accepted my American Express Business Credit card which actually cost them money to accept that form of payment! read more
