UPS generally does notary too but this location wasn't good enough .. location wise it's OK.. even though it's close to route 1 , it is on the south Edison part where it's tough to reach.. As always, they said, the notary wasn't available and we couldn't do much. They also said their color, printer and scanner was not working too... I consider myself a friendly individual that always greets people no matter where I go with good morning. Good afternoon how are you today etc. etc. Whatever every time I've come to this place I haven't had one employee respond, and they always seem to have an attitude that they don't wanna be there! By far, it's one of the worst UPS branches I've been to. I placed a print order of about 15 pages of paper (all of them are black&white) online on a Sunday night, and the confirmation email says it should be ready by 2:30 pm on Monday. I got there at 5 pm, then I was serviced by this horrible staff with no idea what "customer service" was. Her attitude made me feel she was about to pull out a gun and shoot everybody. She told me I needed to come tomorrow to pick up my print order because they were "too busy" (yeah there were about 10-15 other customers during my 15-minute stay but this does not make you too busy to do a 15-page printing). Then I tried to ask her if there were any alternative ways to get it today, and she just turned her back on me and walked away while I was talking because, to quote her words, "I am not the owner of the store!" If you hate your job so much, then quit! No one asks you to come in and ruin other people's days! read more

In response to the owner of the UPS store at 518 Old Post Rd Edison. 1) I have never been in your store. So, saying you cannot please me ever is a total lie. You do not know me to be in your store to make such a comment. 2) Your employee went into the back and told you there was a line, you came out 20 minutes later very annoyed. I guess you thought you beat the line 3) You did not care it was 81 degrees in the store until you had to stand in the heat. You were making you comfortable. You are the owner don't play dumb you didn't know the store is hot. 4) As far as the other older woman you could have handled the notary yourself and not made that woman wait even longer. 5) As far as you helping me, let me just say your customer service skills are horrible. You came you from the backroom looking pissed and you acted flustered. When I told you I tried to print the label at home, but my printer did not work and needed help you rolled your eyes and responded abruptly with yeah right. I should have walked out the door. I did not because I already waited 40 minutes. The line behind me did not wait nearly the time I waited yet they were serviced before me and the other elderly lady. You took my phone and typed in your email addressed and sent it to my email. So, the label went to my email address. After you did that, you repeated 3 times is going to cost you a dollar. Why did this happen, because you did not want to take the time to help a customer. Just like the other older woman. You were trying to get rid of the big line fast. I was surprised you didn't ask for the dollar when I left after waiting 45 minutes and getting not getting help. You never once checked to see what went wrong and tried to help me. You let me walk out the door. I do not know if you have a problem with women and seniors or you are just rude and ignorant. But don't lie and say I cannot be pleased and I have never been in your store. I waited 45 minutes, and you spent the little time it takes to type in your email address. Have had customer service issues at this location before but today was by far the worst. An older woman with dark long hair named Annette was incredibly rude. She actually walked off when i asked how to scan a return for Amazon, and she returned saying I had to email it and said the store's email address as she walked into the back room. So I searched for the email since I couldn't remember all the numbers she was shouting out. Once she returned I let her know I had sent two things to print, one being the UPS label and another being a USPS label, and she quickly got defensive and told me they charge more for the USPS label. Charging more is not a problem, but I was getting really annoyed with her abrasive attitude. She started talking down to me when I asked to clarify if getting anything in general printed here would cost $4 a page or if it was bc it was a USPS label. She then got aggressive and said "for labels that aren't ours, YES". So I said just print the usps label then. She printed out a label for the Amazon return and actually THREW IT ON the floor and then simply turned around went silent for two mins sticking some labels to some bags on the back counter. I finally asked "I'm sorry I'm confused do I need go and tape this label myself before you guys can help me complete the Amazon return?" She finally turns back, and stops ignoring that I've come to do a return and says "We'll, I COULD have had you do that..." fails to finish the sentence or give me a straight answer to my question and aggressively grabs a plastic sleeve and puts the label I folded after picking it up from the floor into it and scans it and hands me a receipt. Incredibly abrasive and I'm not sure if me asking a clarifying question somehow triggered her or if this is how management treats their employees and the behavior just trickles down but incredibly disappointing and incredibly uncomfortable experience for simply trying to get help with a simple errand for a service the store provides. This is the best UPS store so far from my experience. Over the years I had to use different UPS stores in different states. Most of the locations were more or less reliable, with and without losing mail or packages, misplaced mail, etc. This location is the best. The owner (Rashid) as well as staff members very professional, always friendly, always willing to help out. I never had my mail or package lost or misplaced. I always informed by the staff regarding incoming packages. I feel very comfortable knowing that my mail will be handled in very timely and appropriate manner. 16th of July 2024 at 6:39 PM. today I was astonished of the service that I received. I have been coming to this location and even at times would bypass other stores to come to this location because I've been coming here even before these new owners and I never, never got the service that I got today. . I followed the instructions from the previous instructions from the customer service rep that I can always forward my email to their location and they will print out the labels for me and returning the items to Amazon was supposed to be a free service. today the weather, the heat index was very cautionary and I waited on purpose to wait until 630 PM to go there so I can return these expensive items back to Amazon. not only was the wind blowing it started to rain pretty heavily and I just wanted to return these items. I received a statement or an excuse that some power went off or they lost some type of connections and they were not able to print out the labels or that I would have to pay additional for some boxes. ironically, I had the return bags or should I say reusable bags for the returns. the service that I received today was very disappointing borderline disgusting. My suggestion, if you ever need to return something on the last day or your very tight for time, do not take a chance of coming to this location. read more

Clean store, organized, easy to find what you need to prepare your shipment. Large UPS store as I typically went to the smaller one in Metuchen. Parking lot can be a bit tight and cramped since there are so many other businesses, and weekends/lunch time are prime time hours. read more

I shipped my assembled PC (top-of-the-line, $3,000 plus) from UPS store 2947 in Edison, NJ on May 10th. I wrapped my PC in its original box. I was afraid they would break it, so I asked if they were going to re-pack the computer for me. The answer I got was CLEAR: "No need to do that, this box is sturdy." I was still hesitant on this promise, so I bought an insurance which totally covers up to $2,500 (the insurance itself was more than $50). 10 days later (May 19th), when I picked up my package myself from the destination UPS store. The most terrible things I would NEVER forget in my life happens--initially, I found the box quite soften (after vicious shaking), then I realized the PC chassis, fans and all hard disks were badly cracked (the chassis itself is quite study, I couldn't imagine how they managed to do that). The most unacceptable thing is my water-cooling pipe broke and ALL WATER-COOLING LIQUID LEAKS (it spoiled into everything on the motherboard)! As a consequence,all valuable electronics including motherboard, CPU, etc. were damaged and thus became useless. To anyone who is familiar with PC assembling, you are not gonna to believe the CPU bins were even bent during the shipping! So I immediately wrote a damage report and asked for an inspection. The inspection guy came on Jun 2th (I am an ITer and it was extremely hard to me to live without computer for two weeks!) and confirmed the damage. At that time, I thought everything was going to work properly and smoothly, cause the damages and prices about each part are so clear, and I always kept the receipt that has coverage for $2,500. However, after nearly 40 days, the NIGHTMARE happens! It was way FAR FROM a series of UNFORTUNATE! I just called today and wanted to know why the process was so slow and nobody has ever kept me updated about my case (online status only shows "UPS Inspection Waived/Complete", which has been hanging in the middle of process for quite a long time). The customer service guy told me that the most updated status they can get is that "the damage report has been sent to your sender UPS store, and they are gonna to finalize it". So I was *curious* to know why didn't any of UPS employees do tell me about this update? They provided me the cell # of sender store, I called, and as you can hardly imagine, what they said is TOTALLY ABSURD and UNACCEPTABLE! This is what the employee at sender store told me (together with my comments): 1) "Oh, you DIDN'T buy insurance". -- So you think I was cheating with a fake UPS receipt? 2) "It was not our responsibility because it was you who packed the box". -- It was their employees telling me that I didn't need re-pack my PC. And I confirmed with them twice about this. 3) "We are not going to pay you, please send me the receipts of all you items and we are going to end this case." -- Also, please be more rude and keep saying those absurd words. UPS always surprised you BEYOND your imagination, and they showed CARELESSNESS and IRRESPECTIVENESS to their customers. Definitely they need to learn how to respect their customers, rather than treating them as idiots. I do feel I am like a ball being kicked between by UPS employees. The aim by taking so long to connect to their customer service folks was just designed to waste your life, so anyone who values either their life or packages would end up chasing them. My frustration is beyond words. So I am sharing my story with anyone who reads this review. I am not asking for any help, (the worst thing would be I spent 3k to recognize this evil company) but feeling pity for those who have already, or currently being treated like that. read more

" How do I give I zero stars to this delinquent store. " Worst customer service ever. Been on the phone for over 30 minutes, not to mention the 1 hour N 13 minutes on Saturday and also the 57 minutes on Monday. They we're suppose to Deliver a package to me on Thursday and claim that they did not have the apartment number so I gave it to them. The Friday - they told me the same story. Now imagine that scenario. So I decided to get my package held on the Friday and I told these people that I would pick it up tomorrow. Instead of telling me that the store isn't opened on the weekends before I make my decision, they said ok, see you tomorrow. I drove 20 minutes to ups the Saturday to only learn that they are closed on the weekends. I then had to call them back and request a delivery for my money that they charged me 6 dollars for. It's Tuesday now and the package information still has not been updated and it's neither out for delivery. It's half hour now that I'm waiting on the phone to speak to a customer representative. So finally someone has answered who claim the system ( you hear that- the system. Instead of the earth depending on human minds, we depend on a system to make decisions ) anyways the system is unable to get the package processed out and they are not sure why. So still on the call waiting for the robot system along with the human system to configure. Lol read more

The person who works here is rude. He just has an impolite manner. He says things like "you live here?" instead of "do you live here?" in a polite way. Everything he said was blunt. By the end of the few minutes it took to send a package, I was so frustrated. Then he said, "boy you must be having a bad day." I said, "I was fine before I came here," and walked away. As I was leaving, he swore at me in Chinese. I have no idea what he said, but I was offended. I even looked up the UPS number to complain. I was happy to hear they offered notary services and had a fax machine, but upon arrival the clerk had the worst attitude ever. She gave me my total at the register and said "that'll be $8.34" while the screen displayed $10.34. So I told her, and she replied with an attitude and loud tone that she gave me the right price initially. Of course, who cares, its just two dollars, but the way she spoke to me was rude and absolutely uncalled for. I personally know how to deal with situations like this, but my husband, not so much. The people are efficient and extremely helpful, and they even called me to tell me they had accidentally overcharged me for a shipping box- who does that??? When I returned to get the refund they checked the status of the package I had shipped and I even got a phone message today that my package had been received. I came to this store last Saturday to ship a package to my relatives in NC. The store associates were very courteous and professional. Since I was in urgent need to deliver the package they helped me to expedited the process so it got onto the delivery truck (happened to be just arrived) right away. Afterwards, the package was delayed in transit, so it was dispatched a day later. When I called the store today, they investigated and refunded me the shipping cost. The folks who run this place are the rudest people I have ever run into. They act as if they are working in a government office where they are doing YOU a favor. When I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, no one was manning the counter. I patiently waited a little while before saying "hello, is anyone here?" When someone finally came out, he looked annoyed as if I interrupting something. I was there to drop off a prepaid UPS package. All he said was to drop it on the counter, and he went to the back room where he came from. He didn't care to ask me what I was dropping off, nor offer me a receipt. When I asked for a receipt, he said they don't offer one because UPS doesn't even do pickups on Saturday. It was if I was a 2nd class customer because I didn't actually pay any cash for services rendered. Yes, they are an indepently run shop and are paying alot to franchise the UPS Store brand, but that is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE TO BE RUDE TO ACTUAL UPS CUSTOMERS. This is the 2nd time I've received this cold, and uncaring attitude. The first time it happened, shame on YOU, the store owner. Now that it's the second time, I am warning other potential customers to AVOID DOING BUSINESS HERE.
