We've had a mailbox here for 6 months and just renewed for another year. You Send Me is a really fantastic small business for our community! They accept all kinds of packages from all mailers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) - an incredible boon if you're like me and are enrolled in one too many wine clubs! Finally adult signature is not an issue. All of the employees we've worked with have gone above and beyond too. Once we stopped in right after closing to see if a package was small enough to be in our mailbox. It wasn't and as I was whining that we'd have to come back for our package, one of the staff in the back said he'd grab it for us and brought it outside. He didn't need to do that, and we would have come back the next day! But it meant a lot to both of us that he heard us chatting and wanted to help us out, even as he was closing up. We also recently had to get a bunch of things notarized and once again You Send Me had us covered. We were able to get all four of our documents notarized at once quickly and efficiently, while making some pleasant conversation with the staff. Everyone who works there is such a gem. Over the past six months or so, I've been impressed by You Send Me's personañl, friendly and knowledgeable service. Most recently I needed to send a time-sensitive legal document to Spain via UPS. When UPS somehow routed the delivery to France (!) instead, You Send Me arranged for me to get a full refund promptly and smoothly. This place rules. When Mailboxes Etc got bought by UPS and Kinkos got bought by Fedex, suddenly it seemed like all the places where you can get help shipping things were tied to a shipping vendor. It's a breath of fresh air to find this tiny independent mailboxes place. They're not owned by a big corporation, so they can ship via any carrier and the staff there are super helpful and nice. I have enjoyed using the services at you send me for many years. It is very convenient and I like supporting an independent business. I did have an experience recently, which I would like to forewarn people about. I had to send some important documents internationally. I was advised to send them either DHL or FedEx. I looked to see if you send me provides those services and indeed they did. So I went there. I was absolutely floored when I learned that to mail The documents would be over $500. It was hard to believe, but I just assumed this was these were the facts and so I proceeded and forked out the money. I was so preoccupied with my shock over the cost, that I later went onto the DHL website and realized that if I had ordered a pick up, or created my own label at home, the cost would've been under $200. I wish they had told me this. I could've created the label at home and just dropped it off there. I called today and they did agree to give me some discount coupons, but these will not make up for the $300 difference. I will continue to use the services there, but will never make that mistake again, and just wanted to warn people to be careful. I am amending my review. After speaking with the manager and his delving into researching the situation, he credited me close to $200. What he learned was that if you send in your own envelope and put DHL label on it It is unbelievably cheaper than if you use one of their envelopes. I am very appreciative of his giving me a partial refund and still providing me with the coupons. This is good customer service and I believe they now know that this is an important issue to consider. read more

Teresa was friendly and I got a very good value for my money when I needed an advance care directive notarized Saturday! They've got alot of supplies and machines in a relatively small room, but it's quite safe and not cramped much. Unless they held a sumo wrestlers' meet-up there, but I'm not expecting that! So the novice clerk sent it parcel select without mentioning that it would take 4-5 weeks!! So now this package is in postage limbo and the person who gave me $1575 for it is angry and I'm fuming. Since my office in LA closed I'm doing a lot more shipping of stuff there and back and I always feel like Connie is going to help me get it in the right sized box, she does a great job with the packing, and she steers me right when choosing which service to use and when it's going to get there. I've used You Send Me for years. Working with Connie was great. She understood customer service. Well, Connie retired and when a package came up missing what I got was, oh, are you sure? And, Amazon sometimes delivers our packages next door. Just why did you sign for it and then not take responsibility for that? I'm so disappointed and would not recommend this place anymore. Speaking with the new crew reminds me of a little kid covered with cookie crumbs blaming someone else for the missing cookies. My elderly aunt had the most awful experience at this place. It was during the shelter in place, and she worked through her fear, put on a mask and gloves, and went and stood outside the store, waiting her turn. There was, however, a blazing sun, and she was very uncomfortable. (She is 82) She politely inquired how much longer they thought it would be (a single customer was being helped, slowly for at least 15 minutes). The young man behind the counter snapped at her, saying "It is going to be a long time, so you are going to have to have to wait and have patience." His tone was so rude she told me it literally took her breath away. So, she left, went home, got online at usps.com and sent her package via Priority International.
