I guess FedEx doesn't pay attention, and they have never failed on getting the package to me 2 or 3 days later than when it was supposed to arrive. If I ask for a refund of my shipping charges, they tell me I must go to the shipper to get it. FedEx is not what they are all cracked up to be. I have wasted more money, by the shipper using them, than what I have spent in parts.

Now these packages are only shipped to Anchorage, eventually transferred to the USPS in Anchorage, and than shipped on to Fairbanks. 1st and 2nd day air now take a week or more to arrive, if at all. Tracking ends on arrival in Anchorage and there is no way to learn what happens to the package after that. Avoid FedEx whenever possible if you care about timeliness or tracking or if the item is valuable.

When I got to the store, there was only one person. She said she knew how to package it. I asked her to double box it with extra packing around the castle and inner box. I also said that I needed directional stickers (TOP) to keep it sitting on it's base. Extra stickers for FRAGILE/ART were also requested. She agreed, saying that they were professionals. I paid for extra insurance of $500. When I received the box, it was in a single thin box, no extra packing or outer box as requested. There were no stickers of any kind. The castle was shattered. I called to collect my insurance, and was told to "call corporate" as it was not their responsibility (??!!). We called corporate. It's been 7 months. Do NOT use this store. Stay with your package if you do. I had a plane to catch.

Well, there was only a couple others in there at 9:05 when I got there, and I was only waiting about 2 minutes. The woman helping me was quick and efficient and got right to helping me out. She even presented me options for registration which I didn't even know existed. I went with the shorter 13 month registration, as I won't be in town that long. The cost was $76, a $22 service charge over the DMV's standard price of $54. For me, the $22 to experience the sight of people actually MOVING WITH PURPOSE, no crying toddlers, no frownie faces all around, no dark, disgusting unorganized DMV. The whole process took about 7 minutes, and was just a pleasant and happy experience. I would highly recommend UMV. You can get most DMV services done here, for a small convenience fee. And, to be current, THEY DO TAKE CREDIT CARDS NOW. Disregard the other review from two years ago. Yay UMV!

When I asked why they didn't take cards the response was "we are are a small business and can't afford the fees". For a business that has 4 locations in both Anchorage and Fairbanks that's doing many transactions of over $100 that seems like a total load of crap. For a legitimate business to not take credit in 2016 when there are so many different options for card processing is completely ridiculous. This really put a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel like I was being nickel and dimed by them. I'm not sure I will be back.

Many shelves had out of stock signs posted and many shelves were empty. I can see being out of a few things but this was really interesting to see aisle after aisle of out of stock signage. The young cashier was friendly and professional and helpful but he can't make empty shelves fill with product so this store wasn't a good option for supplies. This OfficeMAX was more like an OfficeMinimum. They had a lot of pens but it was out of so many essentials. I most likely will not return to this store for my office needs.
