It seems the company has moved so far away from direct customer interaction that no one actually wants to speak with a customer, take an order, answer questions, or provide meaningful service. The employees I encountered appeared to have minimal customer-service skills and little interest in helping resolve even basic needs. For a business that is supposed to serve customers, the lack of personal attention, communication, and basic service is extremely disappointing. I suspect this business will fail within the next 5 years as they seem to keep running off their customer base.

No greeting. No acknowledgment that I was there. I walked to a counter closer thinking maybe I'm in the wrong line. The woman behind the counter just continued clearing off her workspace. Again... no greeting or even eye contact. She just ignored me. I smiled at her and nothing. A man then walked in and did the same thing. He spoke up after a few minutes and said... is this the correct line. The woman working on the floor said let me finish this then I'll get to you. The agent behind the counter then looked at me and said are you just dropping off. I replied No, I need to have this scanned. She turned around and continued what she was doing. At this point I do not trust my package will be handled correctly so I just said I fell I'll send this later. Then turned around and walked out. I probably made her day... she didn't have to help a customer.

However, recent changes have been incredibly frustrating. Despite being paid by Amazon to handle these returns, the store now charges two dollars for tape and two dollars to print a label that Amazon already provides. Other retailers like Kohl's, Whole Foods, and Staples make it truly convenient, free of charge, and require no prepackaging at all. That's what good customer service looks like. Because of these nickel-and-diming fees, I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on

But instead of doing the honorable thing and being a customer-oriented business by reminding me to tape the box next time and just taping the small box for me, they want to charge a dollar to do it for you. A dollar is not a lot but it was the difference in having a satisfied customer and a good review vs disgruntled customer and a bad review. Plus, a have a bad impression of this store now.
