I've used this store for years and found them to be helpful, efficient and professional. However, this year they were extraordinary and deserve the 5th star. I mislabeled several packages to be delivered over the holidays. I reported this to them the next day. They tracked my packages, corrected the labels and ensured proper delivery all during this hectic holiday season and while keeping me informed by email as well as cell phone. On Tuesday, Dec. 3, I went in to the store to send a package that I needed sent overnight to be delivered on Wednesday by 10:30am (the snow storm we had in MA was basically over). In this package was documents that I needed to send in order to obtain a visa for a trip I'm going on. The employees told me that it would be out with the last pickup and arrive on time. I checked my tracking on Wednesday morning (the snow storm ended before Wednesday) and the package had still not been delivered. The expected delivery was updated to Thursday at 10:30am due to weather conditions. Then Thursday came around and the expected delivery was now for Friday at 10:30am. The package was delivered around that time on Friday (mind you - the snow ended on Tuesday). I called the store to get a refund due to the fact that I now had to pay $100 extra to the visa agency in order for my visa to be processed on time. When I spoke with the employee that answered, he put me on a brief hold to ask his manager, Ken Webber (also franchise owner). The employee came back on the line and I was told I would receive the money back to my card within 21 business days. Later that evening, I got a personal call from Ken telling me that I was in fact not receiving a refund. I'm just confused as to why I would have to pay for overnight shipping that took 2 extra days to arrive. When looking at the weather from those days (both in MA and IL) there is no indication of severe weather that should have delayed my package that long. If it was unable to be delivered on Wednesday it should have been delivered by Thursday at the latest! Overnight shipping is not standard 2-3 day shipping. Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and customer service from Ken. He shouldn't have approved a refund if he was just going to call later and say it's not happening. What kind of customer service is that? I highly recommend using fedex or any other ups store that isn't under the same ownership. IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH YOUR SHIPMENT FROM THIS UPS STORE, KEN WEBBER WILL NEGLECT ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND MAKE IT YOUR FAULT. read more

This is my go-to place when I need to send something by UPS. I've always been treated well. It's also nice that you can just bring something in that has to get sent somewhere, even if you don't have a box or know which service is best. They'll do everything from doing it all, to telling you how to save money by doing it yourself, including which boxes and supplies to buy. It's also a good place to buy boxes for mailing in general. read more

UPS is the place I go to if I have to ship something. I get very good service and explanations of the best way to ship the package based on my requirements. They go through all the price options and delivery times that are available to me. They help you with box size and wrapping and either package it for you or give you the option & instructions to do it yourself at a cheaper price. The only issue I have is when there is only one person at the register and the lines are long or a customer has a big order. I have seen & heard people in the back chatting and not doing much of anything. When I asked if they could come out and help, I was told they were on break. They should come out to help and take their break later. Its not as if the store was crowded and busy all day long. read more

I recently visit this location, but after today I will not be back. The gentleman who is the manager (or acts as though he is the manager) is a jerk. I have seen him talk down to coworkers on more then one occasion. Today it was directed at me. I went in with a package that was already labeled and ready to go. I have always skipped the line, and just set the package on the counter for them to get to later. I've seen others do it as well. Today there were about 6 people in line, I walked to the end of the counter and said, "just dropping this off, it's ready to go." That is when he said, "there is a line and you need to get in it." I said, " no, the package is ready, I don't need a receipt." He then flung the package down the counter at me since I was headed out the door and said, "we don't accept abandoned packages here." "Take it with you." I took my package and went to Pak Mail, where they happily took my package without me waiting on line. The owner of this franchise needs to take a look at who they are leaving in charge. read more

Paid a premium for this location to pack and ship a small fragile item. Packing and materials alone were about $20. The box was far too small for such a fragile item and was cut down and reused from some POP materials that the store received, it wasnt even a new box. About a coffee cups worth of packing peanuts were used. The owner had an unpleasant disposition but I figured whatever, he runs a UPS store at least he can pack and ship a very fragile item so it's safe and secure if it's thrown around in the back of a truck. Final verdict: Avoid!!! read more

It is 2015 and the rude, angry, little man with glasses is still there. His name is Ken, and I believe that he is the owner. He should not be dealing with the public ! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE. When they make a serious mistake with a simple task, Ken will not take even one minute to listen to your explanation so that he can understand it, and fix it properly. He will rudely interupt you and assume that he understands, which drags the proccess out even further. Ken needs to learn how to treat customers if he expects them to ever do business with him again. KEN: YOU MUST TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMER'S COMPLAINTS WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. IT HELPS YOU CORRECT THE PROBLEM, AND IT MAKES THE CUSTOMER FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS. THAT'S HOW YOU KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS. SIGNED, FORMER CUSTOMER ps: You also admitted to charging me for an additional service that you did not provide, and you didn't even acknowledge it. Not good business, not good customer service. You inconvenienced me, several others (including the Federal Government), and another of your unsuspecting customers, whose sensitive, private documents were emailed in error (in place of my sensitive, private documents) to the Federal Goverment. God only knows who you've emailed my private documents to. Since you wouldn't take even one minute to let me explain the problem, I'm forced to share it with you in this public forum. And you've forced me to contact your other business customer to alert them that their sensitive pricing documents have been shared with the government, and several other parties. I only hope that the IRS doesn't use this against them at tax time. Needless to say, that customer will no longer be doing business with you either. When you make a mistake, allow the customer to explain it, show some concern, and fix it without treating the customer rudely, as though he/she created the problem. That's basic customer service ! If the owner can't provide decent "Customer Service", how could we expect his employees to provide it. It sure explains all of the negative reviews. read more

Whenever I need to have something photocopied, packed and shipped, or if I need to buy office products such as papers, tape, scissors, staples, etc, I shop at the UPS store in Franklin. Over the last year, I had to clean out my parent's house and when I decided to have all the old documents shredded, I brought them all right over to the same location (UPS store in Franklin). The price was so reasonable. Anytime I've had to have photocopies made, they always offer to do the copying for me. Today, Ken copied all of my documents and even offered to restaple everything. I would never consider going anywhere else because they are always open, (or so it seems), there is lots of parking, and it's very convenient. Shipped a few packages threw this ups two of the guys I have dealt with were nice. There was one old guy that was rude I brought in a package with Jeep parts about 100 pounds n there was a piece of tape hanging off that was hanging there when it was delivered I know longer needed the Jeep rock rails I ordered so I didn't even open the box I just loaded it in my truck and brought it to ups. And the old man was like next time cut these strips off. I now only use Milford ups. read more

The staff is nice enough, but this place is highway robbery. I went to return a pair of shoes to amazon- they charged me $6 to pack them, $12 for the box AND shipping. $25 to return a pair of $45 shoes. I went for convenience of location, but I would have been better off at USPS and if I had just boxed and taped it up myself. read more

They used to be very nice and helped you with anything. The new ownership is horrible. They not helpful and just downright nasty.

Arrived today to pick up a budget rental and were told it would be a few minutes while the gentleman behind the counter helped someone with some printing. No problem. Since we're next in line we grew increasingly annoyed as he stopped working with us to help others. When he finally got to us it turned out there was no rental there for us and we needed to drive down the road. The whole process took 30 minutes for something I ordered online and verified via phone. The rental itself was a beat up old Budget truck but it held our stuff at least. read more
