By far the best UPS store around. I do all my business and personal shipping here. They are fast, accurate and super friendly. They go the extra mile to help people especially the elderly..I have personally seen there interaction with some of the older folds. The staff and manager are great and I won't go anywhere else. This store is apparently run by some pleasant, albeit clueless, Marin kids. Two days in a row now although I was there a hour before closing they told me "notary just left 10 minutes ago ...you can come back tomorrow". I sense the notary has got another gig. Yesterday they said the notary would be there today till 3 (closing). I got there at 2 and found another couple in front of me in the same predicament. Went in to send an overnight envelope package locally here to a South Bay address, gave the address requested overnight. The guy punched in the information into the computer I paid for it signed it and placed the letter in the overnight letter packaged and sealed it and handed it back to the clerk. Got the receipt and left the store. The next day I got a text from the recipient as to not receiving the letter yet. I grabbed the receipt looked up the tracking number and the package hadn't even been scanned into the system! It also said "Commercial Ground" as for the service. I paid $12 and change and I know "assumed" it was all good! I called the store spoke to someone there about the package and he told me that USPS missed scanning it into the system. I asked further questions and he told me that they missed the pickup the day before and it had just gone out that next morning! Seriously???? BUYERS moral of the story: Make sure the service you requested is the service that you are getting and paid for!! Avoid this store. My package was packed by the store manager and went "missing." About 3 weeks later a check was sent by UPS proper for a fraction of the cost of the "missing" item. The UPS Store customer service was worthless and refused to take any complaint because they said the package was not lost by the store. They were as worthless as the store itself. I was told that the package was not stolen and that I didn't understand their procedures, however my package is "missing." Avoid this location! read more

I have lived in Greenbrae for over 10 years. This UPS has consistently lost or failed to deliver in a timely manner packages. The service as of late has really sucked too. The management is hardly responsive to any feedback. Choose a different UPS if you can. read more

We paid $300 for a guaranteed overnight delivery, which contained very important prescription medications for my mom, and these were never delivered. The tracking number says it will now be delivered in FOUR days. This is completely unacceptable. No one from customer service has gotten back to us. Frankly, this is the second time in the past 6 months this store has messed up our packages. Over the holidays, they sent our Christmas gifts to the wrong addresses. Don't charge us $300 if you can't actually guarantee this delivery. read more

After reading these other reviews, I have to say I've always had such a good experience with this location. I specifically go to this store instead of the one closer to my house due to the efficiency service from employees. There is a lot of teenagers and younger employees but everyone is always very helpful and pleasant when helping with my notaries. read more

We have a business mail box at the Bon Air UPS store and have had very few issues over the years. However in December, we have had several letters that contain checks go missing. We contacted the post office but they claim to have delivered all mail. There are at least 5 checks missing that were sent around December 1 and now again mid December, another 2. Service has always been reliable previously. Can you please let us know what you can do to assist with this? Our clients are getting very concerned someone is stealing mail. We asked for assistance in the store but were offered very little help beyond looking around in several spots inside for any unsorted mail. Thank you. read more

I called ahead to confirm they had notary services as well as how late the notary service would be available. I arrived well before they were due to close, waited in line and upon arriving at the counter the chap stated they were way too busy and couldn't do a notary service now (there was ONE person behind me in line). I politely explained that I had called ahead and confirmed timing, he said nope too busy - can't do it. He suggested I try another UPS which I did. Upon arriving at the next UPS in Corte Madera, I explained what happened and they laughed saying that my experience was pretty common with that store. Save your self some time and aggravation by going to the Corte Madera UPS rather than using the lax / lazy / incompetent guys at Bon Air UPS. read more

This review is ONLY in regard to the PASSPORT PHOTO SERVICE at this particular UPS Store; all other services I've received here have been fantastic, but if you're considering a passport photo, make sure that the person who snaps your photo is knowledgeable about the U.S. Department of State's strict guidelines on the quality of the photo you submit. I received an email from passport agency stating that my application was rejected for the following reasons: "The photograph you submitted cannot be used because your facial image is not clear. Passport services requires high resolution photographs". The letter also stated that "the photograph you submitted cannot be used because the background of the image is not plain white or off-white". Needless to say, this is going to delay my application process because now I need to submit a new photo. read more

I have been coming to this store for years and I'm not sure what happened, but it's gone progressively down hill this year, constantly getting worse and worse. It's the closest to my house but I'm going to have to find a different, consistent, professional store. I'm starting to notice which employees won't open on time. Why have business hours when you consecutively don't open on time ? I'm also starting to notice a couple of the employees smelling like alcohol if I don't come in when they open. Very sad to see. This UPS location charged me a $5 fee to pick up my package here. While $5 is a small amount I feel manipulated because there was no mention of this fee when I chose to ship there. It was a few days faster to pick up at UPS vs sending the package to my house but the price was the same ($0). In the end I couldn't even get my package earlier than it would have arrived at my house because the store was randomly closed for a family emergency. And as a side note, aren't I saving the UPS truck from having to stop at my house by picking up at the store? With so many UPS locations to choose from I plan to avoid this one in the future. read more

Super helpful knowledgeable staff. I was in the store for a regular return, and the lady in front of me had a big heavy package. The clerk said (quickly) "oh this is a scam return - - did you buy it from a US company, only to find that you have to return it to China? Easily $400 for this box. Complain to your credit card co and see what they can do" - Interesting info, and the UPS store gets 3-4 of these scam returns a week. Every time I am in here, the staff is helpful and knows what they are doing. read more

I was in the store on December 30th and the gentleman (saying gentleman is putting it kindly) with the long hair was very rude, which is obviously NOT how you want to be treated. Turns out, my prepaid package never got to the company it was supposed to get to and it's been 14 days; this was a costly loss for me, unfortunately. Out of the 3 guys that were working there that day, only one stood out as friendly and I couldn't wait to leave the store. DO NOT go to this place if you want to guarantee your package, or mail, will be delivered. And who wants to be treated poorly by these employees? A terrible place to send your packages from, especially if you need them packed. the prices here are 25% more to pack and ship than a normal UPS location! I didn't believe that at first, but I just got quoted $175 to send a 27@ monitor UPS Ground! Are you kidding me? To make matters worse, I had been in the day before for an estimate. They said it would be $150 to ship the monitor. So I check with the person who purchased it on ebay and they are fine with the price. I come here the next day, and now I'm quoted $175 for the same address! Take your business somewhere - ANYWHERE - else and save your money. I hate having to ship stuff but if I do need something wrapped up, these folks have always been super friendly. I notoriously walk in with my arms piled of crap and ask them to do a custom package for me, they just say ok no questions asked. I partake in reddit gift exchanges a lot and have no idea if I'm shipping to a resident or business, they don't give me attitude when I can't give them more information. Also they have a few copy machines and fax ability so I know where to go in the off chance I need those functions. They also sell wine shippers which is great since I always am in need of those. read more

BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION-ETHICS ISSUE. I've used this store for shipments in the past, and I always feel like they are trying to scam me with pricing. I confirmed this recently when I reviewed UPS pricing online after shipping through them in store during a rushed visit with a full store during this COVID situation whereby a pricing negotiation would have felt disrespectful to others waiting for service in the store. During this visit today, I went to the store with a medium-sized box (288 cubic inches including the box that held the contents); the box weighed 2 lbs, and they charged me $50 for GROUND SHIPPING ONLY to Chicago. I confirmed on UPS' website that pricing for this is $21. I called back, and the manager had all sorts of excuses that had no reasonable or logical explanation other than the fact that they are "a franchise store" with their own pricing, and "(he) did (his) job right". To be sure, there is over a 100% (!) mark-up for shipping based on that position from the store manager when compared to UPS pricing on their website. . . .yikes. I will find another franchise store for future shipping. read more

I have just experienced the most awkward exchange ever, leaving this UPS Store feeling like crying. I entered the store at about 4:40pm, behind two other customers. The gentleman behind the counter looked unhappy, but I didn't take it personally at first, just figuring he wasn't happy to see all of us in line. When he got to me, I told him I needed to mail 4 packages, and I apologized for coming so late, as this was the third UPS store I had tried this afternoon,one not having the right size boxes, another having closed early today. He mumbled something about not really being sorry. I asked if I should come back tomorrow; he said they were closed. I said I'd like to come back Monday, but I have to work. He grumbled that he does too. I then said I would just mail one of my packages, as I wanted my Xmas gift to get to my 92 year old dad right away. He mumbled something about people disrespecting people who work in stores. I told him that I would just buy boxes for my other 3 packages and mail them myself from the post office. He reluctantly got me boxes, talking under his breath the whole time. After I paid, I stepped aside for 3 more customers, all of whom he helped to mail packages. I then asked if I should buy some bubble wrap, along with the $11.00 worth of boxes. He didn't answer, just told me the price. Upon leaving the store, I mentioned to a very friendly co-worker of his that I felt as if I'd just been abused. She did not respond. NEVER going to such an unfriendly place again. Technically has notary service but he's pretty much never there. Afternoon Monday, morning Tuesday, nope and nope. I suspect they are having staffing issues. Advertise a notary, what they don't say are the short hours the notary is there. Arrived at 9:00 am to be told he doesn't get in until 10:00 come back later. Came back at 3:15 I was told he was leaving immediately, would not wait 15 minutes in order for me to bring back a valid drivers license. (I had forgotten, live very close to store) Bottom line; there probably should be more more then one licensed notary for the entire time the store is open 9 am - 5 pm on Saturday read more
